  1. That's your opinion and i do respect it. Though, i hope this is not going to happen and we have some clue. Even if Zs sucks, as many of us believe, this patch may be leading the way in the sense that new add ons could turn pvp deatmatch unplayable, as it should imo.
  2. Swimming is supported too. At this moment, zombies AI and behaviours sucks. I hope we'll have the best zombie experience in the future, and i hope pvp deathmatch to stop by then aswell.
  3. Of course we can. But i would not complain if i were organizing clan swimming races, and game mechanics would not support them properly.
  4. I think this makes your argument flawed. This is not a game about clan pvp deatmatch.

    Why shoot.

This is mostly OT, but still have points of contact with this game. I've this question in mind since a while (long before approaching dayz), talked about with friends and no good answer came out. We all have a life, we have our ways of amusement and fun (apart from videogames). We basically like people, we like drink, we like sport, we like genitals & various reproduction procedures :D, and so on. For some reason though, when it comes to videogames, we feel that need to shoot something, and kill something, the vast majority of best-sellers are weapon based games. That is pretty much weird imo. I've never had a real weapon in my house, nor in my hand, and i will not have one. Don't take me wrong, im a long-date GTA lover, loved hitmans, loved splinter cells, etc., i've used nearly any item to kill stuff inside a videogame, so this is not about poor moralism. It's really about a better understanding of the matter, and i would like to know your 2cents about this, Thanks for reading ;)

Got your point, but i'm not focusing on frustrated people who makes use of videogames to their self-satisfaction. I'm just talkin about anyone

So you say we are playing to discover and test other skills than we don't, or can not, use in every day life, right? This is an interesting point of view. Nope

Uhm. Are you saying that you do feel the need to kill people and since you can't in real life you do it inside a game?

    Why shoot.

Ok, got you. Well, you sure have your reasons to give great weight to the word itself - which in effect has. In this context though the very same point would be made talking about good and bad, beautiful and ugly, and so on. To keep it simple, very simple, since you mentioned GTA, in this context these are my meanings: - evil is walk around, baseball bat at the ready, and get the hell out of anybody for no reason - good is the exact opposite, quite pointless to any game: clean driving, polite behaviour, stop at the red light. The latter i usually do every day in my life. The first, well, i don't and hopefully i never will.

True. Still, seems like we like to win when some guy lose his life. COD sold little more than, for example, kinect sports, which may have a higher competition rate, since you're challenging your mate and he stands beside you. At least, as a competition, i would probably have more fun meeting him online and headshot him.

This makes sense too, and it was some of the most rated when i talked about with some friends.

I'm not sure this is enough, but it certainly makes sense to me

I'm not sure with this argument. You play footbal games? If a friend calls for a football game RL, you take your shoes and you go. You play race games? If you have the chance to try kart races, or somehow have a trial on a real race circuit, you'll go. I think the same doesn't apply to killing and shooting? --- And you? Did you ever kill someone?

    Because of a physiological need.

I'm sorry buddy, but i can't see your point here.

How often do you sever hop?

Mostly, i've hopped after 3 inglorious deaths in a row. More details: 1) ran from 2 zombies on top of the fire station tower. Once there, i've applied bandages and my character fell through the floor (hint: never do actions while on top of staircases) 2) ran from aboout every zombie i was able to pull, ran on a rooftop and went prone to try a more stealth approach. Went to the side of the roof to check for an alternative ladder - pressed E to peek right - rolled down. Lol. 3) found a 45 mag after SEVERAL hours. then, i found a 45 while chased by 3 zs, tried to pick that up while chased and ive been hit to bleed - go on a ladder to apply bandages on a rooftop, been hit on my back while climbing. 4) shouted ugly words you would never want to hear 5) 4) again 6) went to a police station 7) hop 8) hop

Yeah, thats the point. I do not know why i find amusing doing things that are pure evil. According to those answers, seems like nobody really does - so the question. Ah, the genitals stuff is a joke, i didn't mean to offend any woman.

lol that was somehow a sort of citation

Funny how your answer looks so much like my question. Some fool could argue it's not an answer at all.

    Alarm traps

I was about to open the very same topic Well not really. Assume you spot it (shouldn't be that easy anyway), you TAB and "deactivate" it in the vicinity panel. You got a point here. Wouldn't be the only usage though. I personally have, at least once in a session, a timespan in which i need to reload, eat, reorder my inventory and the such of those. This is how i would use it. About that lone sniper, he would anyway take his risk, as anyone could notice the trap and immediately realize there's fresh meat somewhere inside
  22. Pro - more zombies is a better thing. Cons - chasing speed is ok, but combat animation speed is not. they keep turning around and around (with a very low hit rate), making melee combat BORING - run from them seems flawed, hard to break their LOS - spawn policy should however allow area cleaning, even if for a short time In short: 1) keep a good amount of them 2) slow them down until physics, collision and proper detection LOS fix 3) the real threat should be finding yourself outnumbered. Strengthen them in 1v1 makes them poor conceived zombies

    Bury items

I would like, once persistent object are supported, to get a shovel, dig a hole and stuff items inside. Then cover the hole and let my items buried. Would be nice to use some waterproof material aswell, slowing items deterioration.
  24. I've just been shot, on my legs, and fell unconscious. I was about to hit "respawn", when my character stood up, vision black and white. I tried to apply some bandages, then i fell unconscious again... and then wake up again. My clothes and stuff were ruined on my legs, but the rest of my inventory was full and untouched. Now, 1) the guy who shot me used a defibrillator on me 2) in some case you can auto recover from unconsciousness?
  25. brazorf

    Auto recover when unconscious?

    Ok thank you guys!
