Yeah good tip. I watch many videos during the last week and learned much. However I am still a big noob and spend much time at and around 5000 bp. But I am surviving.. for how long I do not know. -

The steps that I did was 1. Launched Arma2 and started basic training (not sure if you really needed to do the basic training thing but I did do that) 2. Launched Arma2 OA 3. Running steam as Admin 4. Patch to the latest beta patch. I followed the instructions from here http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9314 and loaded the latest beta patch. Used Six Launcher and tried a few server the first 2 failed but the 3rd one I got in on and I have not had a problem since. -
in win 7 this is how I do it. Shut down steam completely. Right click bring up properties and choose the compatibility tab. at the bottom there is a check box that says run as admin. Or shut down steam right click on steam from the start menu and choose run as administrator. Hope this helps

So after reading about this game for a week I broke down bought Arma2 CO and got this thing running. I lasted over an hour got myself and enfield and some really cool stuff. and then I found a deer stand. opps I got swarmed by 8 zombies... panicked and died. I got 6 before I went down though. I do have to remember to reload. Man it was fun.

Man I am having a blast my longest streak has been 2 hours 10 mins. As I am still learning how to play and what building you can actually enter I have died when I think a more seasoned player would not have.. My latest incarnation is only 42 mins old and I am running low on food but I have a Winchester 1866 now so maybe I will live a bit longer. I have never had this much tension in a game before and I have only seen 2 player. I just hid and let them pass.

I am up and running now This config message sometimes comes up but I no longer get kick or stuck. However I did have to patch my Arma2 OA to a the latest beta patch though and all is well. I think Kiotie is right this is not a problem there is something else that is causing it. -

I am getting that message as well - my game just sit on a screen with the word loading on it Seems this is a common error right now. I am trying the update OA to beta fix -
Just got everything loading running steam as admin as well as Six updater and six launcher. Just can't shake this error.
