  1. I don't see why not. Should be very rare, or that ammunition is rare.

    Anti tank rifles

I don't see why not, though, I suspect this has already been suggested, and also been incorporated, into the official weapons suggestion thread.

    Loot suggestion

Regardless of how one plays the game, the zombies should definately be nerfed. I have sneaked as good as I can, and had a steady stream of +30 zeds come rushing at me, and as melee does absolutely nothing, wasted about +60 SKS rounds and +20 pistol rounds, before dying to a never-ending stream of zombies converging upon me. Zombies should either be nerfed, or fixed, as I doubt they will ever get fixed, nerfing them is the only realistic option, as far as I am concerned.

consider an overhaul of "Hardcore" and "Regular" servers

Pilgrim, I hope you understand you are wrong? HC server providers, and the like for R servers, have no obligation at all, to put up servers in the other area. They ONLY have the obligation to keep their SERVERS OPEN TO EVERYONE. Now, I like Regular as it allows me to see my character, and to see behind my back, as well as allow me to see the enviroment around me. I play in HC as well, infact, in non-Exp build, it is my main character. I mainly use Regular as a way to releave the stress that HC puts on me, and my squad mates, and they do the same.

    chance to injure your wrists/arms/fists

I can figure out a thousand ways to take down someone wearing facial protection; For example, take a firm grip around their neck and break it, Punch the Solar Plexus or the like. I would approve this suggestion if punching zeds are easier, as they are basically rotten corpses walking around, which equals no muscles, and deteriorated bones, and perhaps leave players in the same situation they are in. A fully health survivor, who I can only assume has been hit by a zed at least once, and is wearing protection and so forth, should be able to deal with getting hit once by a newfriend, More so than a newfriend should be able to deal with having a deranged infected hit him.

Why not random spawn on joining next server?

I don't like this idea, a universal hive was implemented for a reason, namely to make sure your character is consistant over servers. And as someone mentioned earlier, it seems the devs intended for players to hop servers, and not just remain locked to one.

    Realistic doors.

I certainly like all ideas, question is whether the engine can handle it and make it happen, though.

    Hit indicator (kinda)

Try closing your fist, moving it as far away from your waist as you can, then punching yourself. You'll feel it, regardless of how many times you try it and from what angle. It all depends on what level of realism you're looking for.

    WWII German Gear in Chernarus

Wehrmacht did wear a eagle on the side of their sleeves, not depending on what type of unit they were. As well as the helmets also carrying the eagle, usually on either side as well as the Imperial German colors printed on the other. For example, the coastal artillery also worn a breast eagle, and that is not counting the numerous of other divisions of which bore both insignias on the helmet, sleeve and jacket; As well as the awards and stamped equipment they had.

    Hit indicator (kinda)

It would depend, if you were hit from a .22 at very short range, you can certainly feel the hit and probably pinpot it to somewhat certainity. Get hit by a Mosin round, though, at <200 meters, 600 feet? Your internal organs will be too trashed for you to feel anything at all before you choke on your own blood; 9mill and medium distance, with kevlar vest? Sure, that punch will certainly give you a guesstimate of where it came from, it's not like someone poking your side at that range.

Seeing bullet counts in character/bag screen

Perchance, in which case the "Rocket steps down 2014-12-30 as it is done by then" deadline seems a bit silly. I know of a team who has reworked a mod, after being given the source code since the 16th of July last year, that is over a year, and they are just amateurs. However, they have been able to accomplish more than the DayZ team has accomplished in 7 months. My hopes were extremely high for this game, though, for every week that goes by, it drops even further, and by now, I doubt they will ever be able to make it into any kind of survival sim, that plenty of other games have managed to accomplish already, with an even smaller team than DayZ has.

Seeing bullet counts in character/bag screen

It was more aimed at the fact that DayZ seems to be more of a open survival sim, that is semi - realistic. I merely pointed out there are far better games in the same genre, that provide far better than DayZ will ever will, as a slight sidenote. DayZ, I sincerely doubt will ever become a true survival sim, due to things that have been replicated far better by other games, whom also cater to the survival semi realistic sim as DayZ does. In this regard, I believe DayZ was a stillborn.

Seeing bullet counts in character/bag screen

Several other games have managed to nail this just perfectly, The Forest comes directly to mind, where you need to stop and open your backpack in order to see what you have. Rust, while I hate to admit it, also have a similiar mechanic in, not sure if that has changed in the past few months, though. I know several other games also present similiar solutions, both to ammo count and the like, and if I might say so, I doubt DayZ will ever manage to nail the survival properties of the earlier mentioned games, unfortunately.
  14. My only objection would the condition of which said gear would be found in, The Wehrmacht did not disgard fully functioning gear on the Ostfront, as far as I know; Only instances would be burnt down tanks, retrieving of medals from dead soldiers and so forth, which usually resulted in it being smelted down, burnt or otherwise recycled into war memorials or the like, which would make German WW2 uniforms, weapons and so forth extremely unlikely to be found; As would Soviet gear from that time, at least, in working order, at least in the wild. I know a lot of Ex-Soviet states still have displays of German WW2 origins and so forth, which would fit perfectly with the appearance of such in DayZ.
  15. Not sure if it has been suggested, though: German WW2 Visor caps German WW2 Tank uniforms German WW2 Political uniforms German WW2 artillery/tank/troop/mobilized transport/light infantry insignias German WW2 Soldier uniforms DDR Uniforms, insignias DDR Uniforms DDR Bayonets DDR Soldier uniforms DDR Visor caps I suspect the latter few suggestions would be more common, depending on whether Chernarus would have a museum over WW2/Great Patriotic War.

Gather 3D Apples directly from the trees

A way around this could be to load, say, 20 apples into a tree as a single model. Once the player has picked x amount of apples, the model switches to another one, until the tree is picked clean, in which case the model is removed. This would only requrie the code to keep up with however many there are left. If the engine is capable of that, of course, mostly speaking from experience with other games and mods.

    Gas mask and Helmet

I do really not see any reason for this not to be in the game, even more so as both the gasmask and helmet are pretty much useless at this time. As mentioned, pretty much every single item clips in some way, too, so that shouldn't be a valid reason for removing it.
  18. Santa fox

    Server hopping

No, as I mentioned earlier, arbitrary and otherwise nonsensical solutions to a non-problem should never, ever be added, at least not to public hives.
  19. Santa fox

    Server hopping

I would still wait until it explicitly says that I am dying of thirst/hunger before bothering about it. Food is the one thing, that is somewhat aplenty in DayZ, even if you cannot find food that hasn't rotten, one should at least be able to find charc. tabs to offset the bad food one consumes.
  20. Santa fox

    Server hopping

If zombies were to spawn right next to me, I would deal with the immediate threat first, I would then run to cover to asses the overall situation, before deciding on my next move.
  21. Santa fox

    Server hopping

In such a case, I would simply run around until it says I am dying of thirst or hunger, and I would gun down the zeds, retreat to cover, scout the airfield and then enter it. The best idea to combat server hopping, would be to simply have a button that says "Play", and it simply drops you onto a server that has the best ping for you, through a system like this, if you, say, were to click the "Play" button within 30 minutes or so, you would simply be directed to the same server. So long as the server hasn't gone down, you have been kicked, it is a private hive or so forth, of course. I haven't done much programming in my life, though, I suspect a simple priority list would be quite easy to implement, once the game is out of beta.
  22. Santa fox

    Server hopping

In such a case, your first and second solution is no problem for a geared player, and if he is not geared, he has no reason to be anywhere were military gear spawns, at least not geared with some very basics such as food, a axe or a pistol, so it is still useless.
  23. Santa fox

    Server hopping

No, imposing artificial and arbitrary punishments simply because one chooses to join another server, perhaps he has crashed or wishes to join a friend, should not happen.

    "Safe" zones

I meant more as in, broken barricades, roadblocks and attempt for containment, than simply having a empty town with nothing in it, and people fortifying buildings. The idea I had to simple rebuild exisiting quarantine zones surrounding cities, would help with "safe zones". You could have players gang up, rebuild the quarantine zone, then try and enforce their rule. For example, have fencing around a area, that is more sturdy and heavy duty than the current fence that we see in towns, along with signs saying "Quarantine", having gaps in it. Survivors could then attach metal platings to cover up the gaps, set up welded together metal junk to create vehicle blocks and so forth, and try and enforce it, it would give more of a proper zone, than if one were to simply barricade buildings, and would also fall in with the lore, as well as give a breathe of fresh air to the map.

    Server hopping

Log in timers only delay the inevitable. I am sure there is some far better solution than imposing a one and a half minute long wait, though, I am not sure what just that would entail. Personally I don't mind server hopping, and will mind it even less once respawn is implemented. The delay is at the moment nothing but an annoyance, both to regular players and server hoppers.
