A friend of mine is trying to download the update as we speak, but nothing seems to be working, steam wont auto update. He restarted his steam, computer and router. Any suggestions? Will reinstalling the game work?

Happened to me and my friends (5man team) two days ago. We survived from a few firefights and got decent loot, only to die later by a newspawn with an axe blinking behind us like a ninja and laughing while killing us all. Was annoying.
