Knock (DayZ)

Hey there guys! A friend of mine created a short video that he worked really hard on. It's about the DayZ life cycle. This is my favorite video he has made so far, and he did a good job with the editing! I hope you enjoy it! :D The music choice was great as well.

No, I haven't seen responses to these threads from the person they're talking about. And I know that DayZ players browse this forum, but it's not like all of them do. In fact, I can't say I've talked to a person in-game who browses these forums. I've asked before. I've also never felt the need to apologize or lecture someone through a thread they are unlikely to see. Commenting in a thread means you care? I fail to see how commenting automatically means you care.

Can't say I ever understood these "to the person who..." threads.

From what I remember, there is definitely more numbers. They also respawn now. Whenever I played a few days ago, zombies were hard to kill with melee weapons, so you actually had to punch them out. Go figure, the update that makes them respawn is when they become too much of a pain because you have to beat them to death (again). I stopped playing DayZ for now. I'll wait until some more improvements are made. :)

No. For me, they're not a target just because of the mask they're wearing... they're a target because they could threaten my safety. You could be wearing a bunny suit and I still wouldn't hesitate to shoot if I had to. Back when standalone first came out, me and my group used masks to differentiate between each other at one point. Because back then we mainly wore Ttsko stuff. That doesn't make us bandits. Hell, back then I didn't even know if they provided extra protection when being shot at or not.

Are you two playing in the same room? If you are, how are you recording that? A desktop mic? I'm gonna have to use a similar setup soon. I was wondering if you just record to one computer, and what it's like when you two might have to talk to someone individually online. (If you're not in the same room, just ignore what I just said :P) I would suggest turning down that background music a little. Sometimes I couldn't hear what your friend was saying. Other than that, nice video! It was a good watch.

You shouldn't have told him he could have your body. He's obviously a necrophiliac. :P

I can almost always see a difference in players though. There is multiple different accessories to choose from. The new players can be distinguished as well, because you can already change the color of your shirt. They don't keep that default shirt for long anyways. I'd rather they add stuff to make the characters themselves different if anything. Like facial hair or something.

It depends on the game really. When I played Skyrim, I acted as a power hungry bastard. I went after all the daedric artifacts (even the one that required cannibalism). At first I was just getting all the shouts, but I didn't really stop there. In DayZ I see myself as neutral. I normally don't go around killing fresh spawns or anything. In fact, I Was trying to give away all of my gear today but I was instead gunned down by some other guy (It was my fault for letting my guard down in the first place).

If this is added, I'f prefer that it was added muuuuch later (or never, either one). I'd rather they get more important stuff done first. And if you want a different color shirt... Just change the default character.

I think there has been a thread on this, and there have been suggestions on what else they could do to fix it... I'll just post my thoughts here though. I think that for the time being, it should definitely be shortened. I got hit by a zombie and started bleeding, but the game glitched so I couldn't bandage. I had to log out, and log into another server and bandage myself. Then I had to go back to the other server because my friends were on that one. One of them really needed my help and was about to die, and I couldn't get there in time because I had to wait 8 minutes just to spawn in.

That was golden!
