    This temporary respawn feature is a bad decision. It should have never been included on stable. When you fire a gun in city you will notice that many zombies are coming from all directions through walls and buildins around you. This feature only makes things worst at this stage.

    With build 0.43 i have experienced short distance teleportation for me and for zombies too. It was a little desync. But again, this minor problem combined with zombie respawn near you make a horrible user experience. It looks like a bug and not a feature.

    The zombie speed combined with another problems make a horrible user experience. Because: There is not a balance between M4A1 magazines (easy to find) and any pistol magazine (rare). So, if you have a pistol without a magazine and try to kill zombies it is almost imposible. If you want to run faster than zombies you have to keep your hands free. If you want to run while you chamber one bulltet at a time, the zombies will hit you while you are running. Ok, if you want to run far enough the turn arond and kill them with SKS, you will not be able to fix the target from distance because you alredy sprinted too much and you have to wait to come closer. So, killing zombies with any gun makes a horrible user experience. I don't like to fire SKS when the zombie is 1 m away from me. At that distance I can use fireaxe. My problem is that I don't get satisfaction anymore using a gun against the zombies.

    As far as I know, the build that was tested for days on experimental was 0.42.116002. Before launching to stable, they published to experimental another build 0.42.116181. So, it was tested before being published to stable, but only a few days. Anyway, it happens that problems can occur on stable only under heavy load.

    If this helps for devs: When I got session lost I have always been in the middle of a city, surrounded by zombies. In most cases I fired my gun. In the woods far away from cities or zombies, I had no problem. (Yesterday on 42 stable - hardcore). Bandwidth in Zelenogorsk ~1400; in the woods ~700 Just saying... Good luck finding the problem.

    No desync symbol on screen, but the game is not playable/stable. I had 3 times session lost on different GB servers (1-34, 1-35). I am from Europe. It doesn't matter how many players are on the server. Also huge lag for opening doors and selecting wapons. Anyway, this build is great, very smooth, very good fps, but I don't know what is happening with this session lost events. I got session lost in the midle of a fight with a zombie. When reconnected I was almost dead. Very low blood. But I didn't see when it hit me.
  8. I think the version on server list is the client version required for that server, when you enter the server you see the real version (revision) of the server. I see the same difference on stable for build 35, there are different revision numbers for client and server.
  9. You see, I don't need detailed technical explanation to understand what is going on and why no update on stable. Anyway I like explanations. And the post from reddit was dedicated to the majority who is irritated that there was no update on stable. Even if he (rocket) would have posted here that explanation, here are so many unuseful posts that someone who is reading after two days would barely find that explanation. This kind of explanation would be better made as an announcement.

  12. I am more optimistic. Hunting and phsyics are very close as I viewed the youtube video. I like very much the game and I really hope that everything will be ok.

  14. Ok, night in DayZ is a little too dark, but in my opinion, changing gamma is much more unrealisitc, also changing the server just because you want to play in day light is very unrealistic. The game should force all players too see same degree of darkness and should force players to play at night from time to time. They wanted to make night in DayZ realistic, night duration time to be in real hours, but this is useless because we can choose from day and night servers. I would prefer to have the night in DayZ last only 2 hours, and day 8 hours. I would accept this unrealistic fact just because it would be more fun to be forced to play when night comes (night on all servers, per hive). Due to this difference - 8 hours day, 2 hours night it will naturally happen to play most of the time in day time and from time to time you will have to play at night; or night coming unexpectedly. But this is just my vision. I don't kow how many of you can imagine or enjoy the game like this.
  15. Yes, if they plan to publish an improved 0.37 build, that would explain the delay.
  16. It would be illogical to publish other build than 0.37 to stable. That is why it is called "stable", to publish a build (0.37) that has been tested enough on experimental branch. And 0.37 it is on experimental branch since long time ago.
  17. Looks like revision number is not changed too much build 37.115791 vs 42.115982. I assume they are making some hot fix builds. Don't hurry guys, safe is better.
  18. If you kill a player doesn't necessary mean that you are a killer, maybe you just defend yourself and you killed someone who already shoot you.
  19. I understand what you are saying, but here in DayZ we have a configuration file where we can set viewDistance and prefferedObjectViewDistance. In game setting - Objects Details translates to SceneComplexity in the configuration file. The bug is related to SceneComplexity here. viewDistance is the distance at which fog appears and you cannot see mountains and prefferedObjectViewDistance is the distance at which all objects: buildings, trees, players are drawn. I see here a problem with SceneComplexity because this affects the rendering of the player: only gun and helmet.

I know that it has been discussed, but can anyone confirm that this is a real bug and would be fixed some day? http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=28#bugnotes I know, you will say it is about balance, you should not be able to see a player that is hiding in grass even with very low object details, but the way it is now it is exaggerated. I am able to see a person standing up in grass from 350 meters away using High Object details and when I change to very low, the person is disappearing almost completely. Objects Details Very Low greatly improves performance (5 - 10 fps). We need this please without loosing the ability to see players 300 meters away.
  21. I have been outside at night in dark forest, in real life. And you cannot see anything even after your eyes adapt. Moon can help, but there must be clear skies too and near full moon. And again, I was saying to leave a room for adjustment, but not too much. If someone see as daytime and someone else see as real night, it is not fair. Yes, I want to fix things that are actually unreal. I have no problem with that.
  22. This is the beauty of the game. Just don't play counter-strike at night unless all have night vision. This is the beauty and the fear of the night. You will know that you are vulnerable at night. You would just struggle to survive the night alive. Not just meet your friends for a counter-strike session.
  23. About gamma. Yes it is needed for some monitors, but you devs could limit the range between a certain minimum and maximum to avoid cheating.
  24. Indeed. Also I want to say that night time should appear randomly like rain so players to be forced from time to time to play at night. This is and will always be the biggest challenge for survivors. Fear of night... Too bad that players can choose the daytime... Too bad.
