In my opinion there are enough clothes and hair is not a priority. Even with more distinctive characters, friendly fire can happen, at least from the distance. You two are an example of bad situation awareness and communication.

To the "friendly" guy who killed me and took my MP5

Usually I don't talk to strangers with weapons in their hands. Or if I do, I do it from distance and staying near some possible coverage. In most of the cases they don't need help, they already heave everything. For strangers with no guns or not holding guns in their hands I am more relaxed but still careful. -
What are your system specs, just curious.

What is the anti-aliasing low/high 2x, 4x, FSAA, MSAA?
lucianpin posted a topic in New Player Discussion
I have searched every where including this forum and I can't find the equivalent (2x, 4x) anti-aliasing settings for DayZ. Almost every game display 2x, 4x or something. Just for my information I would like to know what DayZ is using. What algorithm, what setting. I discovered also that for anisotropic filtering DayZ is limited to 8x even when you choose Texture Filtering Very High. So I set from driver 16x and I really notice a difference and this confirms that DayZ Very High is not the maximum (16x). -

All I said was: "It seems everybody misundestood the question. And this is not realated to new players..." I justified the creation of a new topic, and because I was not looking for tutorials I thought it was the good place in general discussion. At this stage I didn't protest and I would have left the things this way. But Max Planck don't draw me arrows, because I can understand many things and maybe I am older than you or maybe close. Let's delete this topic please. -

I saw a lot of questions in General Discussion. Anyway, I don't understand your rules, I will delete my account and stop visiting this forum. You treat me with no respect. It was not a crime discussing about actual anti-aliasing implementations in general discussion. I was not asking for tutorials, guides, etc.... Anyway, I give up..... -

What is the algorithm used by DayZ for anti-aliasing? Is it MSAA? FSAA? What is the meaning for each setting from Very Low to Very High? 2x - 8x? Is there anybody who knows this? -

I am curious what means Very High? = 4x and what type FSAA, MSAA?... -
I will tell you my settings when I was playing on HD 4400 Rendering res 1366x768 (100%) V-sync disabled Texture High Texture Filtering Very Low (this is anisotropic filtering and for HD 4400 this matters for performance) Objects Normal Terreain Very Low Clouds Very Low Shadows Disabled Rendering - everything disabled, HDR very low Also disable head bob to avoid as much as possible shimmering/flickering of aliased edges. I was playing with 24 - 30 fps. Probably you will have to lower the resolution. I can't tell for sure. EDIT: Oh, my memory bandwidth is 25.6 GB/sec using dual-channel. This improved my fps as well because HD 4400 is sharing my system RAM. And we all know that GPU memory bandwidth is also a very important for performance.

Me too I have both Intel HD 4400 desktop and recently buyed nvidia gtx 750 ti. But you have mobile version of 4400.
-
Mobile version of HD 4000 it is problematic, I am not sure what resolution will give you 20 fps.
-
Yeah, looks amazing. Not very smooth, but looks great. Disable anti aliasing and go to 50 fps.
-
You would play 1920x1080, texture very high, filtering very high, Objects Normal, clousd, terrain, low, shadows disabled, rendering anti-aliasing very high, hdr low, the rest disabled, with ~40 fps in the wildness and probably ~24 fps in the city. :)

Is loot and zombie density configurable from server settings?
lucianpin posted a topic in General Discussion
I really want to know that loot density (quantity) and zombie density can be configured from server? I am not saying about server admin, but can this be a setting when the server is installed? -
Yep, me too.... spent all my life there till I have died. (Ironically by automatic high-power rifles)
-
In this 2 days did you find AKM in Balota?

DayZ Unplayable FPS with decent computer! Help!

I have Intel HD 4400, not much powerfull, and I can play 1366x768 on low with 20 fps. -
DayZ Unplayable FPS with decent computer! Help!
lucianpin replied to bailey_moses's topic in Troubleshooting
However, even intel graphics would play with more than 2-3 fps... -
Yep, this is a sad story and I consider this a fault by design. You should never be able to return to the same server in less than 24 hours. You choose to change server, then be it, but don't come back to this one. Even so, this can be used to get geared from several servers and it's not ok.

I use 0.5 at 800 DPI. :D, wow, I think this is quite sensitive.
-
There is no mouse acceleration at all and the mouse sensitivity can be tweaked from game menu, no need to modify cfg. Anyway, they changed the sensitivity slider. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=10985 I had to readjust the sensitivity setting to my taste.
