yeah i am wondering how difficult it can be to fix that. Was not playing the last 2 Months and wanted to check out the new patch and boom: my char got resetted.

As a fan of Action RPG Games i can tell you its a joke to lose your gear in dayz in comparison to lose your 200+ hour charakter in an Action RPG Game

did i miss anything? yesterday my FPS now dropped from 30 - 40 outside of cities to 13 - 20 and from 15 - 20 in cities to 6 - 9. did not change any ingame or config settings. Other Games are not toughed. Cant play DayZ anymore. edith: solved: the bad fps were caused by some changes i did in the power management settings

with my mosin i never killed anyone in a single shot. last guy i killed i shot in his the face (distance 60m) and he went unconscious, rofl I got killed in a single shot once.

well, my shadow settings are on very low. probably i should disable them <_< I use a nvidia card :P

Deleting the files is more a "probably" fix for the charackter reset issue

your optic details should be at least set on normal. if this does not help try to change the sceneComplexity to 250000+

Try This: 1. open your document folder/DayZ 2. Delete those 3 config files (Backup them first) 3. Start the Game (the game will replace those config files)

i play both, regular and hardcore. but currently i prefer hardcore. It's a bit more nerve racking and thats what i love

at least it was a fix for me (so far). last charackter reset i had 14(?) Days ago. And all my resets happend while my config files were locked. playing on different servers? no problem for me. Probably there are more than one reasons for charackter resets.

May be. i also changed some values in the config files and after that i locked those files (so the game could not overwrite them) I lost 3 Charakters while the files were locked. Did you lock your config files? If so try this if your Charackter gets resetted again: 1. Backup all of those 3 config files (just in case) 2. Delete all of those 3 config files (while not running the game of course). 3. Start the Game (the Game will replace the deleted config files) You can still change some values but don’t lock those config files. This is how it worked for me.
