I've found a couple in the tents by Balota. Last I heard though, the loot spawns for those tents aren't working currently. I could be wrong though. I've also found a couple at the very top of the ATC tower on the airfields. It's pretty high risk standing on the roof though. Good luck.

They are static. Just there for aesthetics atm. I found some myself between Vybor and the north east airfield. Two tents and a campfire. No action menu available for any of it.

Just died of heart attack, incredibly stupid
savini replied to schofie1d's topic in General Discussion
"Here is what I don't get. Why are there two sides to this argument? It seems like this has happened to a couple people so far and everyone on the board is either defending it with their life or trying their damnedest to kill it. People are saying "it won't work like that" or "why does it work like this?" when neither side has cited any sources on how it works. This is all speculation from both sides and until someone comes up with the evidence that shows how it works or how to fix it...or just any information about it, I am going to stay on the fence. For that matter, nobody should be speaking from a position of authority. Discuss all you like, but all this "you're a noob" and "this is stupid" is ridiculous and makes the community look like a bunch of twits." Now that we know it was server messages, my quote above is even more justified. -
Looks like a "1,000 car" server. "Mine! Mine!...they're all mine!"

Why putting heart attacks in game makes no sense

This is just a quick tour of the new police station that is coming soon. Plus an unusually dance happy zed. There are a few other new buildings as well including a small clinic, and a new shack. There may be a few more, but these are ones I noticed. Unfortunately I didn't get footage of that, but I'll be back shortly with some photos. [Edit: Forgot to mention. That spiral staircase is dangerous. It has caused many broken legs already so take it slow.] [Edit 2: I should also mention that this is video from the experimental branch and may or may not be subject to change.]

No worries. Initially I thought they were new to the game, until I was corrected. A few times. So I figured I'd put a disclaimer and explanation in order to prevent more "it's already there" corrections.

I'll try not to get as carried away with this story, but no promises :P. So after a few days of messing about up north, I quickly grew tired of hiding out in the forest north of Krasnostav. So I did what any sane person does when they get bored. I killed meself. Finally, fresh shoes, fresh clothes, fresh flesh, and fresh ocean air. Now I can come up with a whole new persona. I decide to play the doctor role. Heading down the coast towards Elektro, I find and pick up a few essentials. A backpack, some food, and most importantly for my new character...a defibrillator. I toss my flashlight and plug in the uber 9-volt. Strong enough to bring one back from the dead in a defib, but still kid friendly enough to lick. I arrive in Elektro and find a number of homes have already been looted. I continue towards the hospital in hopes of finding the rest of the supplies I'm going to need if I intend to be a doctor...at least a decent one. Rummaging around I find a few medkits, antibiotics, painkillers, morphine, saline...and so forth. I'm being very blatant in my searching and constantly talking. Hoping that my openness shows a tendency towards friendliness. I stop by the church and get my gear organized so that I can quickly help whoever needs treatment. I find and fill a couple extra water bottles to pass on to my would be patients along with a writing a few notes that recommend getting 'plenty of rest'. You know, typical doctory stuff. Time passes and morning turns to afternoon. I ran into one fellow who just needed some food. I opened some beans and gave him some water. I'm about to call it a day when I see someone heading towards the school/office in the middle of Elektro. From my position it looked as though he was heading towards the grocery store. I begin approaching the man calling out friendly and saying I was a doctor. There is no response. I thought maybe he didn't hear me. I walk into the grocery and stand behind the last shelf in the back. I call out again "Hey dude, I've got medical supplies and food if you need." No response. Then I see he is at the school/office on the roof. I yell a bit louder "Yo!". He turns my way. I stay behind the shelf and watch. He turns towards the door and a few moments later I see him come out the side door. He has a revolver out. I talk aloud "Hey pal, no trouble here...I'm just a doctor trying to help people out." He says nothing as he walks through the front door of the grocery store and starts to approach me as I stand behind the shelf. Luckily I had the foresight to grab my own revolver for just this type of situation. I keep it tucked in my backpack so that it is not visible. I duck behind the shelf and pull the revolver from my bag. "I'm here to help people, guy." I say in my last attempt to defuse the situation. I can still hear the footsteps approaching so I raise my revolver to eye level and stand up. Before he could even figure out that this doctor is packin', I put a round in his chest. At least that's what I thought. He didn't go down with that first shot, but he was bleeding profusely. He let out a few shots in rapid succession as I ducked behind the shelf again. Luckily he missed each and every shot. His screen must've been quite blurry or something because we were only about 5 meters apart. I stood back up as he jumped out the window, running towards the building across the street. I decide this scumbag is not worthy of life. I yell out "I told you I was a doctor here to help, but you wanted to shoot anyway" as he tries to get away. Just as he is about to round the corner I fire a round at his legs, scoring a hit. He collapses unconscious I assume. I walk up and say "It didn't have to end this way. You wanted a gunfight and now you're dead, bitch". With that I finished him off. I was filled with satisfaction knowing that I had made Elektro just a wee bit safer* and that his punishment was just. *For a few minutes at least :P [EDIT: Cleaned up a few errors and reworded a couple sentences. I should proof-read before I post.]

LOL I was reading back over the story and I remembered something. After I finished off this prick I figured I would see what he had. Though I can't remember exactly what he had, I think it was just a couple cans of food and his magnum, I do remember noticing that the revolver was 'badly damaged' leading me to believe that my first round did in fact hit the gun before going through. He was still able to fire however, but I remember a moment of hesitation before he shot. I think perhaps the gun wasn't working properly after that first shot. Then again I could be wrong. Has anyone had trouble firing a badly damaged weapon?

I'm quite aware of this. [Edit: Rather than make a new post, I'll simply edit this one. Below is the addition.] As has been noted by many already. These buildings are already in-game at Svetlojarsk. However they are new to the rest of Chernarus. The will be added to many other cities soon. Here is a video tour of the clinic. This particular clinic is on the east side of Berezino.
-
The one in the vid is in Berezino, though I've come across at least one new building in almost every town. I can't say for sure if every town has at least one, but the bigger cities have a few additions. It should be noted that some of these buildings have already been implemented in the town of Svetlojarsk. However, for the rest of Chernarus, these are new buildings. Here is the new railroad shack as it is in Elektro. NOTE The following video has been brightened. To view the unaltered version click I'll grab some footage of the new clinic shortly. Again, this is nothing new to residents of Svetlojarsk.
-
I was unaware of this. Well then. It'll be a new addition to the rest of Chernarus.

I like how the clouds kinda blend in with the fog on that first one. Not that it matters, but I'm curious to know where you were when you took these?
-
Thanks dudes. I'm going to try and capture some footage of this characters life and perhaps make a montage of some of the entertaining bits. Depending on how well he does, of course.

What do you think of people who lean into walls to glitch see inside/outside?
savini replied to crazyandlazy's topic in General Discussion
I think they are lazy....and crazy :P It's pretty lame, but at the same time if someone wants to spend their day leaning into a wall to see someone coming then so be it. If they are standing still leaning against the wall, chances are you'll hear them before they see someone coming. It's a redundant 'tactic'. -
It sucks that people would glitch like that to get an unfair advantage. Unfortunately, showing how to do it here hurts more than it helps. I understand you have good intentions, but assholes will be assholes, and they'll use your vid as a how to guide.
-
Personally I prefer the magnum. That .357 round packs quite a punch. I also like it for aesthetic reasons...which is a terrible reason to choose something that your life depends on. All in all I'd say the FNX is the way to go. 15 rounds magazine, decent stopping power, and attachment ready. I think there are more pros to the FNX than the revolver. Still though...I just love that revolver.
-
Having experienced both designs, I would say that I prefer a more centralized spawn. Granted there are still those assholes that will kill everything forever, in my experience the people I run into when I spawn are generally pretty decent. That's not to say that is the case every time, but I find I am able to link up and play with random players more often with the centralized spawn. I don't mean to say make one spawn point, I'm for having it be spread, but at the moment...I'm enjoying the centralized spawn. For the most part. That's just me though.

True. I decided the "Han" approach would keep me alive. :D

I understand getting bored with the game. I've been in your boat before, and I'm sure I will again. Sometimes it's good to take a break for awhile and come back fresh. In my case, I like to role play a bit and make up new characters. I decided to become a medic with my current character. I've been hanging around the hospital in Berezino helping those in need. It's been...interesting. So far I've helped a couple people with saline and food. Unfortunately I've already had to kill another. He came up on me with a revolver drawn. I tried talking to him, saying I was a medic, but alas...I had to put him down in the end. So yeah...take a break or try something new. That's what I do.
-
I had this happen on the experimental branch. This was yesterday however and I have not tested with the newer update. The video below is a supplement to the bug report. [Edit: The ammo that is appearing on the left side is ammo I had dropped just before I started recording]

Why the dayz formula will ultimately fail
savini replied to randalmcdaniels's topic in General Discussion
I would argue "what's the point of staying in the not circled area?" This is bambi logic. Not to mention, this formula has created one of the most successful games on steam...and it's been going strong for a couple years now. All from a mod of a five year old military simulator. [EDIT: Also, I dig your profile pic. Nilsson is the shit!] -
Let off some steam, Bennet. I can't say I've experienced this issue either. SoulFirez' explanation sounds pretty logical though.

I've grown quite fond of the "Freddy" shirt.
