I ate the wrong berry one time. Started getting those same messages. The unsteady/light headed messages. I was able to cure it by constantly staying hydrated and energized. It took a couple hours. I also took some antibiotics just in case...I didn't have any charcoal. Worked for me on the previous experimental build. I don't think it has changed.

I dunno, I thought it looked rather good considering the base engine is about five years old. It'd be cool, but I'm pretty indifferent about it.

I see. The only problem I foresee is that many people would be pissed that they know they are going to die and have to wait it out. You know? I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I'm just playing devil's advocate. I'm curious to see what others think about this as well.

There are four hives. Two on Stable: Hardcore Regular Two on Experimental: Hardcore Regular I'm not sure why you lost your gear though. Seems odd. Either you were killed while logging or some kind of bug. I'd suggest filing a bug report. Hopefully that helps. Don't know what to say about the lost loot, mate.

Lets Troll Infestation:Survivor Stories (The WarZ)
savini replied to Save F10's topic in General Discussion
meh...I care so little for that game...I could care less what they are even up to. Do what you like though. -
This would be neat, but I don't know if they can even get that in-depth. I don't think ACE even has that kind of damage modelling. Someone can correct me on this, but I'm pretty sure it's basic first aid stuff that cures most things. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for accurate damage models, but this seems like a ways off. On a side note...your text is kinda hard to read. With it being a few shades lighter than the background. Maybe I'm getting old, but it's distracting.

I tried to be a friendly player, I really did.
savini replied to VexeN's topic in General Discussion
It seems like one of these pops up every couple of days...if not hours. I, as well as others, are friendly. Hell we've been posting vids of our friendly encounters. Search 'friendly' on the forum and you'll find dozens of friendly posts about friendly encounters. (That's a lot of 'friendly' for a couple sentences) Here is my own quote from a separate thread on the same issue. "It's possible to be friendly. It's also possible to run into friendlies. Granted it's not incredibly common, but it is still possible. It's easy to get pissed off and want to rage when someone gets the drop on you, and if someone catches unawares and means to kill you...well there's not much you can do but try to defend yourself. I've had my share of deaths and surprise deaths. I've been pissed off and rage quit. This game is pretty notorious for that kind of reaction, but it's those of us that can keep a cool head that stay friendly. Being friendly doesn't mean never shooting and always approaching people. I know I've had to take out my fair share of aggressors. It's about being careful and standing your ground. Sometimes it doesn't always work out that way. There have been other times where myself and someone else have randomly come across one another. I'll try to talk my way out of a situation, and sometimes it ends up working out. We'll exchange food and such and go about our ways. Other times it devolves into a firefight. To me the 'friendly' playstyle is all about playing smart. It can be challenging and downright frustrating at times, but other times it can be fruitful and rewarding. Some of my best mates in-game are people I randomly encountered. We still play together to this day. In the end it's up to you how you want to play. For me, I enjoy the 'friendly' route." [EDIT: I felt like adding a link to a video I just finished about being friendly. It has a few scenarios...one devolves into a shootout. Like I said...there are tons of topics and videos of friendly players...it's just a matter of finding us. Stay frosty.] -
Found Zombies Wandering Through Forest on Test Server
savini replied to Deathlove's topic in General Discussion
I had a similar encounter awhile ago. It was on stable branch however...it's been awhile and I can't remember where we were exactly. There were trees around... Anyway It was just one zed, standing around...not really harming anything or anyone. Naturally we kill it, next thing we know we are getting swarmed. About 5 or 6 more popped up and rushed from behind us. After it was all said and done, my pal and I looked at eachother and wondered wtf we had wandered into. Haven't experienced it since, and unfortunately I wasn't recording at the time. Weird shit though. -

heavy firefight at elektro.. and the typical dayz bandits ;)
savini replied to cheRubyy's topic in Gallery
I've said it before...here goes again. There are friendly people out there. Naturally you can't trust everyone you meet, but I've met a number of players that have turned out to be good pals. We now run together in our own little crew, but that doesn't mean we are exclusive. We approach people when we have the upper hand and have met other like minded individuals. Being friendly is tough. You'll get screwed over and die. However, it's the most rewarding gameplay style I've had...and I've been around awhile. I'll put a video below that shows some experiences I've had recently. Granted it doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen. Your biggest mistake here, as has already been said, was running into an ongoing firefight in Elektro. Everyone there was probably amped on adrenaline and shooting everything including the scarecrows. -
WARNING: Use at your own risk. I logged in today to get some footage of the radio, when a few opportunities popped up that allowed me a chance to show how I go about being friendly. In Elektro of all places. I cut the footage together and added some captions to show some of the tactics I, personally, use when interacting with others. This has worked to some degree for me in the past, however, that doesn't mean it will work every time. Things don't always go well. As I will show in the video below. It should also be noted that all footage was captured on an Experimental server on 'hardcore' mode. There are a few frame drops and other oddities, so be forewarned.

I like the perspectives you use as a narrator. Well written, comrade.

LOL All it needed was a record scratch when they all stopped to look at this guy. Good stuff.

Nice. I like the included photos, well done my good man.

I can understand why people kill bambi's sometimes.

We are out there. I put together some clips of a number of friendly encounters I had over the weekend. Today, however, I had the pleasure of being shot in the back while unarmed. Such is life :) -
Granted you can't force him to play a certain way...I'd just stop playing with him. or shoot him when he gets out of line. Mostly though, don't play with him. Unless you can agree on a playstyle.

I've made it a rule to never interact with children. That being said...I have no idea why I hang around the forums SSS BURN!! j/k j/k You guys are a-ok. Most of yous -
Fair enough. To me, language is just a silly thing for people to get upset about. No worries, I see we're on the same page now.

My lady is not a fan of keyboard and mouse games unfortunately. My little one however...she likes to watch daddy cut up some zeds. Also, all that bullshit about your language...fuck that. In my personal life I curse like a sailor. It's just how myself and the asshole, piece of shit, pricks I hang out with talk. On a medium where writing is the primary for communication I try to articulate better, but for the purposes of my argument...fuck that too. As long as people can choose whether or not to watch a video, then they shouldn't be going around flagging shit they find offensive. Like fuckin' speech police, are you fucking crazy? The nice thing about the internet is that we all share the same freedom, no matter what country we call home. Keep it real brother, and fuck all that bullshit.

I hope you understand that the end goal of this game is to be a sim. Things are going to be added that make it more difficult. This includes heart attacks, catching colds, fighting infection, slowing down because of the amount of gear, so on and so forth. It is going to become more 'realistic' and therefore more of a sim as we go forward. So if you are not into 'sims' then I'm afraid you are going to be quite disappointed. [EDIT: However, I can agree that having everything be ruined is a bit overkill...it is a system that is still being tweaked and refined. You're going to have to deal with it until the mechanic is finished.]

oh god...I can smell those from here. I guess you could recycle the sweat that accumulates from running around in those and drink it later. I'm gonna make myself sick...

I usually travel deep into the woods. Once I feel I'm in a safe spot...I move an extra 400 meters inland. Find some of those trees with the low, thick leaves and make yourself comfy.
