Well if you feel that way and are not really interested, why bother with this thread? just skip this thread since its abviously not your thing..im sure you will find some other aspects that interest you.

I don't understand why ppl claim it wont work. We all seem to agree that after 200+hrs or so at this stage of the stable branch gets a little boring until the next patch so whats wrong with making things interesting and meeting new fellow hero/survivor types? Or proving oneself as a hero/helper/security and getting regocnition from fellow survivors? I have 4 characters (2 in stable 1pp& 3PP) and in experimantal (dying while helping ppl is not a problem), and yes they will be wiped at some point as we will move along to beta so whats wrong with GETTING SOME STREET CREDIT from fellow heroes while things are slow? In my opinion this is a GREAT TIME to meet like-minded ppl since there is little to loose...and the bandits and kosers--bring it on! B) Dont listen to them OP, my circle of friends and i are not from dayzMod and so always welcome the chance to create new networks of like-minded heroes from that experienced community. :thumbsup: pm me bro and hope to meet all interested, -UN Lunch Team

I am aware of that my friend and thanks for the info but some times when you join a group or to help someone in need you don't have a choice in that matter(server). Also like in the situation i mentioned above having many ppl in one place and a week comp. can cause it even though you didn't get that effect earlier. This is a temp solution when you need to be sync for those moments. Did anyone try this? are there any others while we go through the alpha phase?

ah a noble cause indeed, count me in. My humble group are medics and carry 0+ blood...im sure they will also come once i confirm its safe

I play both, but hardcore can get laggy for a weak laptop like mine and makes melee combat difficult with low FPS. The people on them are the same mix in my experience. (267 hrs so far)

I have a i3-370M 4 GGB DDR3 memory (know its weak) But it works with lowest settings but i hope it gets better with optimization.

I play a black male because i am one IRL and my co-worker whom i convinced to get dayz plays as asian female. The funny thing is i have a heavy african accent and she has a asian one which fits in with our play-style, (roleplaying). when meet ppl (we play the hero angle), they are generally curious and we have a good chat and laughs. If i had a can of beans for every time i heard "so are you guys the UN or something" which i reply "um yes...yes we are, here's some food) :P only in dayz!

I live near there, and loot green mountain too. Since im not into the CoD stuff going on in the coastal cities and rather talk to ppl, i tend to keep to center center/west of the map. whats with the "haunted" thing anyways? is that why its usually not looted?

Yes, new maps would be good as they would give an equal footing for the ppl who just bought DayzSA and don't have it memorized like the ppl from arma mods.

Yes they are... they come from arma/CoD and don't realize it is a survivor game..and seems they have the map memorized. <_< Just avoid the KOS cities...

Hey OP, don't worry about dayzSA becoming like the mod and this is why: -in the mod, many of the players came from the arma and therefore are naturally inclined to love military games.. -in daySA, a large and growing group of ppl found this game in steam and said 'hey a survivor game, hmm ill try that". This includes me and a LOT of ppl i meet in the coast and are therefore not interested in the military aspect of it. -So if they make mods servers with a thousand tanks and jets--whatever, a lot of people will not be interested since many of us are not into military FPS's games anyways.or come from that genre. For example my background is strategy games and empire-building genre and never played arma. In fact some ppl i know plan to have servers with no military weapons but rather civilian only (i would prob check that out). -Good analysis OP but with a different player base i don't think this will happed in dayzSA and public servers will be full of survivors. As for private servers well they're private and if they want to spawn with a bazooka and 3 tanks that's ok too. -good discussion guys you ALL get some :beans: :beans: :beans: ...but no water or blood!!, that's mine...

There is another thing, you can use steam chat if you make "friends" in the game. Just message them, then change to voice chat...you can add many ppl and its free! :thumbsup: :beans: B) I use it with the new friends i made on dayzSA. That's another option you have, cheers have fun!

if people really miss the military game, why dont you guys just play arma? Dayz SA is not a military sim it is a survival sim. well IMO

A car? Pfft!. I found a radioactive unicorn on dayz sa yesterday that fires laser bolts from its arse! Heck, if run to the end of the map, and keep running you might find a giant samurai robot. ;) Try it.
