hey, check out the "recruitment" section in the forum and look for groups that enjoy the same play-style as you do. I am sure you will find some like-minded mature folks you can roll with. have fun

I have learned the hard way that if you come across an armed person who is not talking/texting, there is a good chance he/she is on teamspeak or skype chatting or listening to his group. In this case you have to options: 1: leave the town quickly while not letting him/her track you. 2: If they are following you or tracking you( like finding him/her in the next town), this means they are giving your location to his/her friends and will hold you up once they get there....you must eliminate that threat and kill him/her. I play friendly/hero style but i am not foolish.

That can be annoying but did you try these: - don't wait for server but push "refresh" every time you are in the server list. - check your ping for something below 70 (if you are you are getting crazy ping for most like 500+, then it could be your network-someone downloading a huge file or streaming vids) - verify you cache in steam -oh yea, set your video settings to default and see..(helped a friend once)

Agreed, makes logical sense. Unfortunately i don't think its a priority atm and i estimate it will take a few months before they tackle it..thats why i hope they get the "cooking" patch to stable soon.

Ah yes! those should be coming! From that twich video recently Dean says fridges and even cabinets will be persistent, and upgrading fireplaces to ovens. The barricades could be far off though...i would love those regardless.

At that point you have nothing to lose...don't die of a glitch..go south meet ppl (almost all the ppl i know in dayz i met ingame), make random groups with ppl while using all your suvival instincts and you will be surprised the stuff that randomly happens. Try the hero/survivor angle and try to comm with ppl; much risky but worth the "rush" imo! Keep an extra canteen, can opener etc..things you take for granted now are actually valuable to some you come accross. And there, before you know it you have a small greatfull group with you ready to loot the next town... A fun session from there on... :thumbsup:

yea i can't find any exp. servers today or yesterday, i assume they are working on some unexpected glitches before dropping it on stable...

What SAK just said. Also because of the new zombie spawns in latest patch, i would recommed find "High Ground"--first or second floor of a house/building etc. Good Luck Survivor!

Those are good points. but we dont have a suicide option and i dont know if that will come.My suggestion was for ppl who dont want to look for morphine/splints. -If they blocked me then i would wait and see (i doubt they are gonna hang around for hours) -if i am in the middle of the woods, then with the new spawning zeds it should not take long to come accross them (few minutes) and faster if you have a gun. - if all fails then just logg off and with the new patch chances are they will spawn near you.

Me and friend were ambushed while chatting with a newspawn..at the end i was the last one alive and crawling away while they laughed and sorted through our gear. I just turned the corner and headed straight to the local zeds and said hi :P Within a few seconds more spawned and i was warmly greeted with a group hug and a few "high-fives" to my face.. problem solved.

OP, whenever they add a new weapon or/and ammo, you will see them everywhee because they want us to TEST THEM. Back in the day sks ammo was everywhere but not so much as they got a lot of feedback..so they want the same on these new .22 and 9mm. I am sure when all the new weapons are added, they will make them spawn in appropriate/relevant areas. So take them, test em on ppl, walls, trees, zeds, windows ect. and share your feedback with the community and devs. Embrace the fact that at the end of the day you are testing an alpha and you won't get frustrated. cheers!

That looked fun! Too bad i could not make it as it was noon in my time zone and had a family event planned for that time.. I will deff try to join the next event mate, it can only get better!

You know they would flame you right? koser and snipers will always be around and taking away thier weapons is not really going to happen. You obviously do a different play-style and so do i so i suggest that you simply avoid the CoD cities and the cost. When this game goes beyond beta i am sure there will be pve servers or moded servers where its mideval and everyone has a sword and bows reach only 50 meters. Until then, just avoid those areas and go inland and you will find "survival" type people to interact with... Good luck and keep your head down...

I cant remember where i posted this in the forum before, but here:

Hi fellow survivors, So i was rolling with a few friends inland and we came across some friendlies willing to trade some blood test kits for ammo and such. As we traded and chatted by a well, i and a another fellow were desync and/or lagged doing the good old rubber band dance. One of the other group members said to press the "A" and "D" buttons in a quick succession and that will help for a short period. I tried it and it seemed to work as people quickly responded in direct chat "hey you're not running past the well anymore!". I only lasted for a bit though so my question is: Did anyone try this temp fix? Does it work for all ppl? are there any other ideas out there? Please discuss and thanks in advance for any info..
