I don't think that sounds realistic. What I WOULD like, is sort of a "THUMP" that hits you, and plays In either speaker depending on the direction of where you were hit.

Oh, my... I think the poor dude got scammed.DayZ Mod is free for ArmA 2 OA, and available from DayZ commander. DayZ Standalone is available for about 30 dollars USD on steam. -

THE DOCTOR ORDERS:Eating and drinking A LOT!!! You will die of starvation/thirst faster than you will die of any real ailment- and you could even heal! Also, wait until the sickness progresses into the "infection" stage, (I think that is orange?) and clean your wounds with disinfectant or alcohol. If all else fails, find a medic at the RRF or TMW. Good luck out there :D -

So, after spending an UBER long time gathering attachments for it, I FINALLY have my decked out AKM! I found it at a barrack at the NWAF. Super excited. ^-^ ATTACHMENTS: Handguard rail PSU scope weapon flashlight ATLAS bipod (excuse my bad FPS, on a secondary rig while I get a better one. >.>)

As a medic, I wear a respirator to display that. But I would never be caught with a payday mask.

I can handle and fire an M4 already, easy. But in an environment/region like Chernarus, I would definitely take an AKM. In a place like the US, where I could find ample ammunition and other tools to run it, I would choose an AR variant.

It is set in the ArmA verse, zeds are infected people, not dead, and it was shortly after US involvement in Chernarus. This is all we know.

They are generally worn for intimidation or bandit role play by some clans. Seeing this threat, DayZ players adapted this into our plethora of quirky social norms based off of our various paranoia(s). (I.E, shouting "friendly")

Really, it depends on the situation I was going to be using the rifle in. For an M16/AR variant, I have to consider: can I keep this rifle clean? In a zombie apocalypse, if I thought the AKM could withstand more rough treatment and be easier to use and repair, (not to mention how much ammunition I can find in the region I am in,) then I would probably choose it. Now, if I were in an environment where the gun isn't going to be getting too dirty, i.e, a low humidity location where I could find ammo for it: Hells yes I'd take it.

Ja. Just went to a low pop server to walk off the airfield and get to the coast to run rescues without getting shot. Then I got killed in a firefight with a server hopper. Miss you, AK. 7 PM - 9 PM

you can make an AK with handtools, and a block of steel. Very reliable gun.

I prefer the rail guard for that sweet, sweet bipod. Thanks :D In other news, my character almost got wiped TWICE. Relogged into some different servers, and my character was saved. (though the session was subsequently lost in around 20 seconds after loading in.) Oh DayZ and your technological woes. How I love/hate you, for providing me with hours of fun in exchange for several heart attacks and frustrated keyboard pounding. =] Grammar edit.
