The m16/m4 variant makes a loud, high-pitched cracking noise. This being said, it also depends on the size and type of round exactly how loud it will be. A supersonic round will have a louder crack than a subsonic round, due to it's being faster. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEvUWQLqoZg Not the loudest gun, but my point is it's a lot louder than the M4 and certainly should be louder in-game.

It wasn't, hence why it was alarming. But yes, it seems it was just the server... I have done extensive testing, on both experimental and stable... I just can't get the alert messages.

Actually, the M16A1 is MUCH louder than the M4, especially using a supersonic round.

Ok, now you're killing canon lore. The country of Chernarus is a 3rd-world ex-Soviet Chernarussian country. Why would they use English there? Most likely they would use Russian. Look, you may like an easy game, but some players don't want their experience spoon-fed to them. I memorized the road signs, it makes it immersive.

If I am ignorant to it, forgive me. I have done very little experimentation with painkillers, due to their semi-rarity. However, in previous posts on this thread I have in fact entertained the thought that the painkillers were numbing me... ;D

Well, about realism... If you use an M4, it should most certainly be a pretty loud gun. A NATO supersonic round can be deafening. However, it is an accurate weapon with moderate recoil. But, it is not reliable. So why not make the M4 degrade or even jam overtime, and make it louder?

After further testing, I have concluded that this must be server-side. I just can't get the status again. However, I will try again tomorrow. Juuuust to be sure.

You must be in sight to be killed on sight. Don't trust everyone you see, and if you are going to kill, get a clear advantage. Take the high ground or where more cover/concealment is available. Take your time and make good shots. Zigzag when you move and stay out of site.

New status... "I feel like I am going to soil my pants" These seem to be related to running... Exhaustion? High blood pressure? I will continue testing...

Actually, it seems that the pain killers have done their work... I can not be sure at the moment what exactly that was, but if it was a heart attack, pain killers seem to be used to treat it. EDIT: I will do more testing later. That was either exhaustion, and the painkillers numbed me, or a heart attack, and the pain killers treated it.

It was (seemingly) random. I haven't taken damage in quite a long time.

I'm not going to lie... I don't understand your logic. I save lives, killing is always a last resort. But I guess it depends on the kind of person you are. Some enjoy killing, some save lives. And some, like you, just wanna do it all. :D

As a hero, I do no enjoy killing... But, that doesn't mean me and my squad aren't guilty for the deaths of dozens of bandits like yourself. ;) For example; me, Ryo and Azlo passed through Electro on a 40 man server, on the way to a medic rescue in Cherno. We were ambushed 11 confirmed kills later, we walk out of Electro and let the bambies loot their bodies. The point is, you are a talented, experienced marine. And I thank you for your service... But eventually, there will be those couple of dudes that you decide to "hunt". Next thing you know, you're the one being hunted. ;D

If you have blood bags, take as much of your own blood as possible. It will make starving to death faster :D EDIT: Also, eat rotten food, OD on epinephrine, drink disinfectant, ect... The art of suicide is very creative in DayZ ^-^ HOWEVER, try your best to get out of the room first. -
It doesn't have "0 signs", just enough signs to get by.

In an underdeveloped 3rd-world ex-soviet country like Chernarus, I highly doubt they would have signs everywhere. #FirstWorldProblems
