DayZ was meant to be an MMO. Due to Bohemia's servers, that isn't going to happen. DayZ is an open world sandbox survival simulator. It gives players free will. This means they can kill or survive. Often times they kill. That doesn't make DayZ an FPS or a military simulator. This isn't ArmA, BF or god forbid CoD. Go play a different game.

Because Dean came out and said that the environment was meant and still is supposed to be the main antagonist. Yes, it does add depth to the game to have KoS'ers. But I really wish that people would quit thinking this is CoD and not shoot me every time I approach them.

Not even arrows. If you've ever shot a bow, they are much like the speed of a gun. Especially if you use copper or steel.

Seems like a good concept, but the riot shield isn't bullet proof. For melee situations, sure I can see this helping. But if someone shoots your shield... Yeah you're boned.

Abooouuuuut infections and the treatment of NPCs as players... We already have this. Infections, though not called infections, do occur. I've seen it happen most often, when someone uses unsterile bandages. You can sterilize a bandage using tincture or disinfectant spray. When infection does occur, it has varying stages, and if left untreated can and most likely will lead to death. On zombies acting like players, yes we already have a system like that. They are vulnerable to crippling and blunt trauma. So if you shoot a zombie in the knee, it will stagger instead of run. If you punch one in the head, it will fall over for a few seconds. Yeah, the mags are a bit more rare. I find them most in fire stations, barracks and the camo buildings. I've also seen them in the ACT, but I avoid those most of the time. Make sure to check any spare FNX45s you find. They might have mags in them! :D
