I've killed plenty of the likes of you. As a matter of fact, I actively hunt people like you. I check every sniper hill, every military base and coastal city... It isn't just beans and bandages, and I'm sure it's not that fun to waste your ammunition on an unarmed bambi with no chance. Give freshspawns a chance, shoot geared people. Or do you need the batteries? (trust me, it's much more fun to take that shizzle)

My character was a doctor who was sent to Utes Island on a UN aid mission. After trying and failing many times, my team desperately searched for the cure to a progressing incurable disease amongst the local population. One night, me and my colleagues were examining a person who was exhibiting... abnormal behaviour. Aggression... Loss of communicarion skills... progressive unresponse to any form of outside stimuli... he refused to eat the rice the peacekeepers brought to the island, he would only eat red meat. We had to restrain him, so he wouldn't actively hunt livestock... eventually, he wouldn't even eat beef. And more and more of the populace was brought in to our clinic, all displaying these sypmtoms. We thought they would die, so we began force feeeding them. Their bodies rejected the food and vomited all of it. We gave up, and tried desperately to treat them. We thought they would starve to death. One night, a specimen broke from his restraints. We found Dr. Haanz in a pool of blood... Outside was worse. Untreated villager s were screaming at the top of their lungs, chasing... killing... feeding... on the uninfected populace. The rest of the night was a blur... I picked up a handgun, started firing, running for my life... I jumped off the port in Kamaney and swam as fast as I could. I drifted for weeks, dehydration leaving me in a daze... I woke up one day in Chernarus, the sweet sound of Chernarussian waves welcoming me to hell. One month since outbreak, 9 million infected world wide.

Ja, people need to learn to trust a bit... But you shouldn't just outwardly assume everyone is friendly. I was running along the coast, (fully geared with a Mosin), when I got punched from behind. I turned around, and there was a fresh spawn jabbing at me. So I fired a warning shot, in which he responded "I'LL FUCK YOU UP, BANDIT!!!" I then proceeded to take out my axe, and he ran back a couple of feet "FUCKING AXE YOU KOS FAG". I pulled a gun, told him I didn't want to kill him... After a few minutes of coaxing, he calmed down. We talked, I told him which direction Elektro was, and he went on his way. He told me he tried to kill me because every other player had tried to shoot him... But after he wasn't paranoid, he was a completely different person.
