So, I was In Balota about a week ago. *cue flashback animation* I was looting a prison, and had just acquired an M4. I go to pick an axe up out of the corner (behind the stairs), when I hear reloading coming from downstairs. So, I peek down, and he's just... standing there. No weapon equipped, nothin'. So I realize he's logging in! Well, I'm not one to kill someone THAT vulnerable- not even server hoppers. So I position myself in said corner, and wait for the bastard to come up. He didn't stand a chance, when I unloaded into him he looked like a deer in headlights. Funny thing is, he starts screaming at me in this little COD kiddie squeaker voice. "Nighty night, hopper." *Crack* Thanks for the server hopped beans, mother fucker. ;D

Because instead of heading out the door he came up the stairs and B-lined for the barrack room. I find it as good suspicion to shoot.Besides, if I see someone at an airfield in close quarters like that, DayZ nature means someone is going to die. Even I have stopped being friendly at the airfields.

Well, I don't think they would be shooting freshspawns. There was ONE that I shot, though. But he was well warned. Walking out of Elektro, we had met a freshie in a raincoat. He had no weapon, but we told him not to follow us. I see him again, peeking at us from the fire station. I tell him "Turn around and walk away." "Ok, bye." A few minutes later, our spotter sees a player up on top of the hill to our right. "Last warning, leave." So he turns and walks away. Ten minutes later, we are walking in a ditch to avoid being spotted again. I turn around, and LOW AND BEHOLD: That little yellow bastard is scoping us out from behind a rock. By this time, we've decided he must be scoping us for a larger group. So I turn around, and turn him into swiss cheese with my .45. TL;DR: If you are told to piss off, piss off.

Hey all! So I've been thinking- I have been alive for waaaaay too long. After even trying to get into gunfights at the airfield and failing to die, I've come here. :D The game is simple. Guess the number I am thinking of from 1-1000, you have until 2 more hours. Winner gets everything on my toon! :D

I know it's not one person, but I am trying to make a point. Belly aching that shit ain't getting done isn't going to speed up the process. They want this to be a work of art, like Dean envisioned- they don't just want to pump out some cash cow that we'll feed into, they're trying to make this game great. I'd expect a coder to understand something like this; that if you want a game to be great, you need to work at it. And work takes time.

As they said, yeah. Hiding is difficult. What you need to do is take the higher ground, and hit the deck. Small backpack, low silhouette, good camo. In forest fighting, whoever is seen first is dead. So waiting for your enemy is a good thing, just don't try and hide in plain sight.

Ok, please come back when you've made a game. What's that? You don't know how and your programming experience is minimal? You're 12? You don't understand how hard it is to make a game? Ok, alright then. As someone who knows BASIC, C++ and some JAVA, it pisses me off when someone criticizes a developer for not pushing updates fast enough. Shit is hard.

Let ol' Guppy give you some snipin' advice. 1. Try and find an area with shrubbery to conceal you, a rock to cover you, and a clear line of fire. 2. NEVER wear the mountain pack. 3. NEVER use the bayonet. 4. Only fire 2-3 shots in one spot, and then move to a new one slowly. 5. Learn the bullet drops and travel time of your weapon- it's all about knowing your gun. Hard helmets and hard masks don't work together anymore for realism's sake. But anyway, don't wear masks. The functionality is questionable and they just make you look bandity.
