Even as a horde, in their current state they wouldn't put off anyone shooting at anything they feel like. There needs to be massive consequences for shooting your gun in towns and city's and the zombies need to be it, they need to be a real threat, not just shooting your gun, one or two hear it and come for you, change to your axe run in a circle around them, whack whack dead.. It would greatly put off the KOS's and they are a problem that needs to be handled realistically. This is it.

Well you know i love the idea myself, should be an aim for them without a doubt. The human killing machines would be alot more reluctant to just KOS without a fear when the zombies are actually a threat alone, and also even more reluctant should they become a huge threat in great numbers, that you would bring down upon yourself by unloading an M4 in to some oblivious guys back in the middle of a town or city.

Only played about 17hr myself and the map areas etc im already starting to get pretty used to, a map online tabbed on my steam is enough really. But maybe some ingame town maps you find would be ok but not massively necessary, its meant to be a steep learning curve. The teleport to friends i knew wouldnt go down well and no, it takes the risk and a little of the point away again, but, i can imagine once they add camps to the game, they may end up a spawn point at least. Only guessing though.

Agreed, cannibalism would happen without a doubt in the scenario. Cannibal gangs/tribes/groups would be a great addition. :).

Spot on. Pointless senseless killing for easy loot they cant be bothered gathering and to feel "pro". Already getting a group together to hunt down people just like this after only 17hr in the game. These sort in game make others KOS, rather than actually converse/cooperate and assist others who are like minded because they dont want to run the risk that others are just like him.

HI, just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue as me and my partner, we keep losing all progress now. The game at start is bringing back characters from random times. One is one i just killed off, another is from another random deletion of character and i started doing stuff then on another load i ended up back with my original character again so carried on with them got geared up, then a server crash and a reload later im back to another character from previous times with nothing again and this has happened to both of us, even when we are sticking to the same server now, since we found out that changing servers can cause it if they are not part of the hive. Seems like one rather annoying bug, never know what is going to load to be honest now. Seems like i have 3 characters on the go somehow now, one with nothing, another with next to near nothing, and a 3rd that is meant to be my actually character. lol. Most annoying.

Thanks, well ive been sticking to the ones that have region number etc, but i think it was a DayZSA UK server from gaming delux that was maybe perhaps not part of the hive. Ahhhh, oh well. Start over... Again :D. lol. Cheers for your time.

Now that is a 10/10 for the worlds most prompt reply lol. We join the gaming delux UK servers ourselves, so i shall now put my dunce hat on and ask, how do we know which are the official servers? :D. lol.

:D lol, na i told her to get out of there, she had tons of ammo but no gun, i had a gun but was shot dead in moments. We did it to save the kit she had, but, then we spent a few hours getting back to one another, sever's have been really bad today and suddenly we both start fresh again anyways..... alas.... it was all for not. lol :).

I run with my lass on this, other than her ive seen one person who didnt talk back, (they were too busy running from zombies), however there was one another. We were at the airfield, the central one. We usually stick to the lowest population servers we can for this reason too. Basically we had spent about 14hour in the game, searching grabbing loot, gearing up then at the airfield we went into one of the barrack buildings, she went upstairs i stayed downstairs, since we stick to low pop servers i pretty much had my pants down, gun shouldered seeing how i looked in a pilot helmet when suddenly someone opened up an M4 into my back, never heard a thing. lol. Joy of joys. My lass was upstairs and just logged out after asking me what happened :) lol.

Thanks for that, ive got mine rock bottom on all due to an old comp in dire need of an upgrade, getting a new one soon actually but i shall put up the quality a bit, it should cope. Not doing too bad out of my 4 year old laptop, ram is its biggest flaw nowadays. Anyways, cheers again.

I myself and my lass are two of the so called "server hoppers", >but< we dont do it for loot. We do it for two major reasons. 1. Mostly for server instability where you bounce around and have no idea where each other is, as fake versions of ourselves go running off when we are actually stood still. and 2. when the server starts to fill up with people, (since we stick to the lowest population possible), we switch then too. We spent 12 hours stocking up, made it to one of the airfields the other day, as i was busying myself trying on a helmet and wondering why my beret wasnt on the floor where i dropped it since stuff still vanish's at times, all of a sudden someone unloaded an M4 into my back. My lass ran off, so a fresh restart for me. She still had all her gear though, spent a few hours trying to link back up, woke up today, logged on, i was yet another fresh character, and so was she.... So whilst people gun others down in the back and steal what you spent hours finding, the servers will also blank your characters now if you log too often i take it, even if your doing it for server stability, out of control lag and keeping to quiet servers. Two sides to the coin of server logging really. Shame about the ones who spoil it i guess.

Added to that, if our gear is going to get wet from rain, is there any chance it will not be raining now inside buildings. lol :).

Ah, the dunce hat was necessary then to most of my post, lol. :D. Thank you for the responses, i still think the pistol and flashlight idea would be a great addition though,especially for searching houses at night, more made up threats indoors, zombies eating people on the floor when you enter, can hear them but pick them up with the flashlight late. The night atmosphere of this game could be incredible. This game has some massive potential it really does, and i think it will be the realism and fine detail side of it that will take the game into next year as the best zombie title out there.
