or you just hold your cursor over the compass in inventory, it's a bit hard to read but it works

Only military pokes up their head from cover? so children dont do it when playing....oh i dont know.....hide and seek?

I think it's a great idea! Make the player choose to abstain from KOS instead of being forced to by bad mechanics like the other ones suggested. It won't affect everyone, but at least some players will be put off from kos in certain situations.

Are you sure they aggro you upon respawn even if you axe them and it's not just that they spot you? I know I've had zombies aggroing me through trees and miles away when I've shot them but when I used the axe I was safe until they actually saw me again.
-
I've never had that happen to me, when I take them down with the axe the new zombie will just stand there until he sees me (which is for fraking miles!) Yeah, they do aggro the player not the vicinity though. I can't wait to see what they will do with the zombies AI in the future, hopefully it will be really advanced(zombies with advanced AI?? err that doesnt seem plausible now that i think about it). Oh I'd love to play with you ministelis, I love aussies!

It is not clearly broken, it's working as they intended it to work. This is just a placeholder for now and Dean has said explicitly that they are not going to go backwards and roll back changes they've made. As for my opinion, it's shite for a lone wolf but more exciting than before if you're in a team. Shame I don't have a team and thanks to diablo expansion I don't even have my buddy

The reason the update was so big was because there were bugs that were blocking it from being released to stable, should they just stop adding content while waiting for the small patch to be released? it doesn't work that way. They have to merge often and they can't release small patches every week. It's obvious you don't read what the devs are saying on this matter as it has been answered. You have different teams working on different things, most of the new stuff is made by the artists, they cant fix the clipping through wall issues, can they?

I like the idea. In my opinion it gives you a purpose while in game if you should happen to get infected. Getting hit by a zombie and bleeding is really really rare now. I am curious if you intend on the time until it loops to be in game or real world time? If it's real world time then I can see it becoming an annoyance as you have to do it every time you log in if you're casual. If it's not then probably you will only see it once or twice if you're lucky to live that long. Another problem I see is the sheer amount of items you must find to make this cure. We're talking blood bag kit + iv start kit to make a blood bag, blood test kit so you know the blood type, antibiotic vial to make the serum vial and then a hypodermic needle to have a finished cure. Also if we add the latter suggestion we also need alcohol tincture AND a gas mask to make sure all these items dont go to waste when crafting. I just feel like it will be quite hard to find everything in the time it takes for us to get killed by the infection. Might raise the suicide rates quite a bit! Perhaps if there were something similar to a medkit that had the items you needed, or that might be making it too easy. We all know Dean has said players are immune and can't get infected with the rage virus or turn into a zombie, but this is neither of those. It's another form of it that just makes you sick. Simply put a mechanic to make the zeds more deadly and dangerous.

I can't even believe he said a helmet should resist 5 shots to the head....Imagine firing off an entire mosin mag into someones head and he just sprints away after. I'm sorry you took the time to write all this OP, most of it is worthless and the rest of it you could have figured out by yourself that it will be implemented down the road.

Well persistent backpacks are already on the way so I guess they're gonna expand on that later on. I don't like your idea of tracking, it would most likely not be used much and would add a lot to the server load. We already have footprints in the game and if you go prone you will trample down the grass. I think this should just be made a bit more obvious so you can track players manually, without the help of a context menu.

I was dying of hunger then ate, then was dying of thirst, got water and now screen is pixelated.

That is not a bug, it's intended. The bug is that you can remove it by going into video settings. The blurryness is the indicator that your health is low. -
That's odd, I got this one too in the same type of building. I was just trying to grab a pair of pants on the top of the bookshelf in the room on the second floor. My buddy was outside the windows at the back and he didnt hear any gunshots nor was there anyone in the building at the time. My pants and all items in them were ruined but that's not the worst,it broke my leg as well.

List of all players have this issue: Can't interact anything (Client doesn't update server load)
Dolle replied to colbykid's topic in Troubleshooting
Both me and my friend have the same problem. It doesn't always happen and it doesn't matter if either of us has a protector case, first aid kit or an ammo box. This issue has always been there ever since we started playing and it's mostly only when we're near each other. Usually I get struck with it as soon as he logs in around me. I should mention that we live in the same place and our internet is being shared by others as well. What rocket said in the other thread it seems most likely to be a bandwidth issue (for us anyway) so optimizing the net code might help reduce it. What happens is that any players I see will just get stuck, either standing around or permanently moving in the same direction. My friend can see me moving and gesturing perfectly well and everything i do at my end is sent to the server and the other players but I don't get anything back from the server. The easiest way to notice it is by trying to interact with your inventory, right clicking for example will just say receiving... instead of bringing up the menu. Moving items around won't have any effect until it ends or i relog, even picking up items won't show before that, though they do get picked up immediately on the server. I don't know what else to say, it's a really annoying problem and have caused my death so many times. I hope Rocket and his crew can manage to reproduce it or else he's very welcome to come stay with us (we've got beer) while we show him. Edit: I don't think I've ever experienced rubber banding along with this issue. And I've stopped checking the desync value as it's just so random and doesn't feel like it has anything to do with this.
