@Crazy, I'm not really complaining. I love the game with all it's alpha-ness. I just need a while to adjust, is all. Please don't put me into the category of complainers and whiners. I said it would be crippling, but I have not have seen problems with the buildings I am staying in when I log out or hang out for a while.

Well, I've been in the police station, the big green and red houses with double doors, and the small, low yield green houses and I've been parked in all of them for at least one and up to 2 hours as of this morning - I alt-tabbed, which caused the game to keep going, of course, and I must have had at least 4 Zeds under me. I'm alive and well with not a single scratch. Is there only a certain building where they do climb stairs? And it would be rather crippling, if they glitch through walls AND climb stairs. One I can handle, but two bugs at a time? That's what I call a "NOPE!"

But you only get half a bambi, since the rest of delicious new spawns and their tears fall uselessly to the ground. YOU, Sir, are NOT a true bambi connoisseur of delicious rage-quit tears. Get that can opener for the bambis. Eat ALL their tears! :D

I still can't believe that people remember Benny Hill. Heck, my mom used to watch it. In Germany. When I was maybe six or eoght years old, FFS. I have to call upon wikipedia, but I think he died quite a while back, didn't he? Here, have some Billy-Beans for that :beans: Fiddlesticks, here I go derailing threads again. But Zombies. And afk players. And such much. Yes.

That, my dear, was indeed one of the more evil things I have read. An afk new spawn. How could you!!! You Murdererererer of widdle Bambis... I felt bad when I took the splitting axe, backpack and jacket of an afk'ler down at the ship th other day. I let him live though, so he could savor his misery :D

I just wanted to switch back to experimental to see if that branch is playable, but all the servers are down. Does anyone know how long, and if they fix the experimental to then patch it / push it to stable? Really don't wanna play stable right now, it sucks too much... I'll give it a couple of days rest I think.

Plexico, you're not alone. My tip: Find a house that has an UPSTAIRS room, and hang out there. Park your char there until this is hopefully fixed. I'm having the exact same problem, currently close to unconscious because of this very issue.

Sounds like a plan. I'm currently parked on top of a gosh darn police station cause Zeds still can't climb stairs. Thank Goat for small favors. I've bled out almost to unconsciousness because of this lag / connection / session lost problem, and I'm staying there until it's fixed. Occupy Berezino! Take shelter in a house where you can go up stairs. And guys, hold on to your bandages and make rags. You'll need 'em! Let's hope for a real fast fix here. This is no fun :(

What settings do you mean? Graphics only or also video / rendering etc? I haven't checked yet, thank goodness I got a new Laptop for Christmas, with an i7 core and a Geforce GTX not much can go wrong... I hope... Meh, I better go check anyway...

Well, I got hit by lagging / invisible zombies 4 times in a row. From then on out it's all bandaging, trying to loot... and that's not happening because the connection failed or the session timed out... I'm starting to worry here, guys...

They broke your arms AND your legs? And you survived being unable to outrun them? Uhm... wow...? *gets scared of Zambies just a liiiittle bit more*

I am somewhat glad to see that Zombs are a threat now. Does anyone have any experience on how they react in running vs. sneaking? I mean will they actually not notice you if you sneak / it's dark and so on? I'd love to have a link on how Zombies "see" and "hear" us in the SA, and how we can gauge their reaction since we have no visual indicators like the mod had. From what I've played and read so far, they are a bit too close respawning, yes, but also I think they shouldn't be already aggroed at you. Doesn't really make sense. Yes, bandages and T-Shirts will be in high demand from now on. I'll start taking orders as soon as base building is ready :-) Also, I hope at some point they won't be able to just enter any house if the door is closed / locked, but they should linger for a while. 5 Zombies outside and you're out of food or water... what do you do without a weapon?

There seem to be wool coats everywhere!!! I mean, much as I am happy to have them and wear them, some other issues of clothing might be nice. Lag, yes, Session lost, sometimes. Zombies are way different than before, I died twice just because they were relentless. (Well, once because I got 4 invisible, consecutive hits all of a sudden.) Once all the Zambydoodles are fought off, it's mostly good to go. As always, I have regained my composure and patience. I shalt not rant. B)

LOL That's the spirit. I spawned with no pants and no shoes. But they left me my cowboy hat. Unfortunately, I was hit 4 times by strange invisible Zombie Hits and died only minutes after I found pants. In a hospital. A few feet from the saving bandages. But hey, I like a good challenge now and then, caused by buggyness or no :-)

Irish, I don't know about that last one... why don't you go ahead and throw some money at me and I'll tell you how I feel afterwards? :P Being rich isn't everything - but it's so much nicer if my tears are caught by my spiffy leather seats of my Maserati ^^ But Tac-Bac.. Well, it's just that the very first time I ever used a forum and started a new topic and got slammed for it, I learned. That, of course, was years ago, but to this day it is entirely normal for me to either google stuff I want to know, or if I am looking through a specific forum, I use the search. Of, course, just because I have always done so, doesn't mean that everyone does. I get that. I was just getting a little frustrated over the fact that there's so many threads with almost exactly the same title / topic / content. Also, I feel for the mods who actually have to yard or merge some of these threads every day, when it might not be necessary. But, I apologize for derailing this thread, please, carry on. :blush:

I vote for new users of this forum that they should not be allowed to post unless they have actually been a member for a week. If they need help, they'll probably try the search function. If they are angry about certain things or want to help, maybe they'll look at other already existing threads where they can actually join the discussion and rant all they want. So there! <_<

Nothing personal, but is it only me or are there TONS of people whose first two posts consist of ranting, whining, complaining, fullout bitching and trying to "help" by pointing out all the things that are "wrong"? Wouldn't it be nice for a change if some new person actually checked to see if the problem was already being discussed (can only be like, I dunno, 37892357 different threads about this) or at least use the SEARCH button? Guys really, you don't just come into someone's home and start randomly complaining before you even know if there's a group already sitting somewhere discussing the same issue you have. Get a feel for the forum you use. READ what other people write and discuss. Then ANSWER in those already existing threads and don't waste space by making the umpteenth topic with basically the same rants everybody else starts. Come on, guys, USE SOME COMMON SENSE! I hate to yell, but it seemed necessary this time. Patience wears a little thin these DayZ...

OMGWTF - does that mean that the exp. Servers are back up again? And oh boy, finally pumpkins! I wants to carve thems for Halloween - oh, wait... that's a Tomato??? Did it get mutated? Whew... Hope they at least help us be healthy.

What an awesome story. I'm right there with you, OP, if people bitched less they could spend more time enjoying the typical moments that only very few games can provide. Let the Zombies glitch for a while longer, I've gotten so used to it I'm not even pissed about it anymore. Enjoy the game, with your mindset I think it'll only keep getting better for you :-)

Barricading buildings at least for starters sounds like a fun idea. Not every barricaded house has to be a house per se, right? You might be able to barricade Devil's Castle, the Balota ACT or whatever building in general. And hey, stay out of Tulga, das MAH Town! The Sheriff has spoken :-P
