No single piece of loot could ever make me risk it... just saying. Big Foot? Hmmm.. something like it for sure. But no fluffy fur on that one, nuh-uh... Scales, I tell ya! I love the Rocket Mountain though, Hetstaine, pretty awesome!

So if you are in a field and there's no game, is it worth hanging out waiting for some? Do you just stumble across them by accident? Are you running a few miles to find some? Oh, and are they random spawns scattered all over or are they mostly in the same place? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really interested in how others get their game for dinner :-)

I know this thread is a little older now, but has anyone changed their mind about where their base will be now that hunting and fishing have been implemented? I was thinking Tulga would be great, lots of game grazing spots with that cute deer stand inbetween the two parts, it's got a water pump and you'd rarely ever run out of food. There's Toolsheds if you need pliers, hammers etc. - I thought it was awesome. Downside is it's a bit far from Kamy for my taste, I'd like to be closer in case I need to go shopping for a new pair of pants. Also, medical supplies will be rare, same with guns (which I have not carried in over two months now, it's way more fun axing down a deer or a boar. And you can look like an idiot as long as it's a rarely visited spot :-) Then again, Kamenka sounds awesome too... How about you guys? Still going for that quiet, peaceful hut in the middle of nowhere?

@Pilgrim: "Die Haupt U-Struktur" is German for "the main U-Structure". That still doesn't make any sense to me though... Anyone?

Meh, it's the Apocalypse... I don't think people would pay for them with money. More with their lives ;-)

After having been killed I lost my first and only pair of binos as well. I've been running everywhere from Kamenka / Pavlovo Military Base, over garages, tool sheds, regular houses, police stations. I find flares, fire axes, everything you could possibly dream of... but no 'Noculars :-( I really want them back, I also have no idea if they are just not there or have been made super rare or some other crap. I grrrr this muchly :-(

Hey Guys, I hope I'm posting my question correctly in this area. A few days ago I heard of 12hr. Restart Servers for the very first time, and thought that those would be worth checking out. I have this idea where I want my character to have something very close to real time playing, so if I sleep for 6-8 hours, I leave my char for that amount of time and see if he hasn't starved the next day when I come back. Unfortunately I have no idea where to find these servers, or what I have to enter into my filter. It would be awesome if you guys could tell me how to go about this, and also if there are servers that restart even further apart time wise. Thank you!

So, the F3 animation, where your char sits down - is this just an animation or does it actually do something / could it do something in the future? Once you're healing, you'll heal no matter if you keep running or moving around, so my initial gut feeling tells me it's just an animation. Does anyone know for sure? Happy trails!

Welp, I've been up and down Berenzino. No luck so far. Except for getting hit by Zombies, getting my leg broken, bleeding half out, using a splint, and have it broken again. Irish, I don't think a single soul will do anymore. The price just spiked to 25 souls and a vial of holy water... The damn things have to be here somewhere, I know it!

I guess your'e not a soul man ^^. I'll keep my eyes peeled, I am playing today for the first time in 5 dayZ, but my guess would be garages, police station - and if Deer stands spawned any loot at all, that'd be a very nice place that would make sense *looks at devs*. I'll let you know as soon as I find one if you are still looking for a pair then!

I also would like to send some words of encouragement to the devs, if I may. Even though even the die hard fans may lose their patience sometimes, including me, waiting for the next patch or the final product is gonna make it worthwhile in the end. I truly believe in the potential this game has, and I can identify with Dean's Vision of what this game is yet to become. Of course it's hard to fight through all the waiting and bugs, of course when FPS crashes to 7 or 10 max, and more bugs come out it's frustrating and nerve-wracking. For us players and testers, sure. For you, the Dev's, it's even harder. not only do you have to acknowledge and fix things all the time, but you get the lions share of all the anger that comes with it. I'm not gonna get into it much further, I just wanted to say that I can understand both sides very well and would like to ask everyone, once in a while, to just take a deep breath, take a step back and remember that someone, somewhere is working on fixing stuff. Hang in there, everyone! B)

There's some pretty good stories to be had out of this whole "cursed" thing. It just cements my resolution to never go back there anymore. Way creeped out now.

I watched that video after debating for a few minutes if I should or not. The background music is too much for me already... what kind of beast is that? Looks like it's definitely NOT from DayZ but a cool made Video Edit... Also I just realized that it looks like the Mod, not the SA... Anyone know more about this?

OP: Sounds like there's no Party like Solnichny Party LOL. It actually does sound like fun! I can see you running around chased by all those freshies yelling and screaming. If only exp would run better for me. I would bring Chips and Beer and a book or two to this event. How many 100 Peeps servers are there if I may ask? Is it only one? Is it located in the states or in Europe?

Same happened to me. That's why I try to ALWAYS carry Disinfectant Spray with me, for a nice, refreshing suicide. Yeah, too bad about having to re-gear but at least I'm free after I die / fall unconscious...

I was going out of a house in the middle of nowhere, not having seen anyone for two hours. All of a sudden there was this other dude just staring at me. I completely freaked and killed him via Fire Axe. I completely ruined what little gear he had and apologized afterwards. Had I not been so freaked out, I'd not have killed him. Sorry, random person. I didn't mean it :-/

People can be butt heads. Once I got held up by bandits and then "let go", only to hear one of them ask their buddies if they should shoot me in the back, me being completely unarmed. So I turned around, turned my mic on and told him if he was gonna shoot me, he goddamn well do it while I was facing him. Then I walked away. They shot me just as I thought they'd given up. Moral of this story: People are a-holes and some don't care if you are armed or not. They'll shoot you just because they can, Loot or no Loot :-/

This sounds like an awesome way to mess with the Green Mountain Tower... What if THAT is the middle of all the locations? *cues Twilight Zone theme*

It would be so nice if the Weapon Cleaning Kit could be used to repair parts as well as the gun itself. I get it, it's a cleaning kit, not a repair kit. But still, Irish has a point. It would maybe better the Performance, or they should make the broken stuff repairable at least. The best you can get with a Reapiring Kit could be "worn" for example, just as it is with the Sewing Kit. On the same note: Why can't a sewing kit mend my canvas pants or raincoat?

Oh, forgot to ask: Where exactly did you find this? Are there more all over the map? Are they rare? I have never seen this before so I am very intrigued...

Hmmm... transmitter of some sort? Can you put it in your inventory / interact with it other than shooting it? Is this on experimental?

Fire is not yet implemented, wait for the next "Big" Update. Sorry :-/
