Just read your signature, so I suppose you mean speed. I can always manage to outrun them as long as my hands are empty. Having something in your hands slows you down after a bit so it's easy for Zeds to catch up to you unless they go into their "stumbling /shambling" gait.

Many of us have the same trouble. At least you're going about it sensibly and taking a break if you can't take it anymore instead of rage quitting and ranting :thumbsup: I also get tons of mem. crashes, and once I realize it pisses me off a bit too much I just wait for a few days and come back to see if it's been fixed. Saves me a ton of ulcers ^^ I think that the item in hand thing may be due to lag. I had invisible cereal in my hand earlier today and couldn't get rid of it no matter what. So, with the weekend being here I'll just hang back for a while as well and enjoy the nice weather :)

I have come to love the sporter but it took me like 5 shots to take down a single zed. So, what about the low noise on it? Is thus gun less likely to be a dinner bell? I'd love to hear something about that if anyone has any experience with it!

Simple misunderstanding, it happens. Stable is not really for me with silent zeds scare jumping me all the time though. I think I'll stick with exp. I am so used to playing 3pp in 1st person I forget it's 3 pp anyway.

I feel ya. And it's extremely hard to fight Zeds off with your bare hands when at the same time trying to collect enough apples to stay alive for the trip to greener pastures. Let's hope it's just a specific server setting and may you get luckier on another :)

I think once you find a pack of seeds, a waterbottle and a hoe / icepick /shovel, you're completely set as far as food goes. I haven't had to go to town since yesterday at all except to replace my hoe. Once you have found a nice spot to hang out in, all you have to do is just garden for a bit and play the waiting game. Too bad we can't plant apple seeds yet ^^ Of course you'll have to replenish stuff like water, ammo, replace shoes and stuff but once you have a successful little garden patch there is much less pressure on you.

There's always a possibility, the Devs work quite hard, and it wouldn't be the first time they're working over the weekend. I kinda have mixed feelings about it, like I do wanna play and see new improvements, but then it's the weekend and I feel guilty and selfish when they're hanging in front of screens programming while we enjoy the nice weather ^^ Well, then again we also hang in front of our screens all day giving the f5 button a workout ^^

I really have to find the time to actually check WOBO out on a reg. basis, I still have a lot of catching up to do ^^ Thanks folks :)

Quick question: Does anyone have an approximate range for the winchester? I finally found one and looked it up in the wiki but it says "unknown"... Thanks for the bigger fishnet pics and introduction, Looks great! But I also have no idea how to deploy it, I'll try as soon as I get my hands on some netting again :)

Did you happen to be on an east or UK Server? Seems those are more likely to make you crash (at least for me)

I also believe they're crashing, otherwise it would mention that the server is gonna restart in so many minutes. It didn't show up again either. I should probably really try to tip it, but it keeps eating my pumpkins, so I think it's just terrible service. No michelin stars for this one! ^^

Southcentral 06 keeps stopping like every hour or so, kicking me and I never get to enjoy the almost fully grown pumpkins! Wah! Wah! *sniffle* I think I'll get in on that hug tho' ^^ What does it actually mean if the server "stops"? It doesn't sound like restarting, so does the server just randomly go "Damn it all to hell, I quit!", goes to take a deep breath and then decides he does need the job after all and starts up again?

I actually found one 3 days ago, it had randomly spawned in a fire station. Got ruined though when I fell off a cliff >:(

Edit: Worked perfectly, I am now stuffed with tomatoes and one literal happy camper ^^ Edit2: I would really love to see the ability to stack tomatoes / harvestables or maybe even have a small basket that you can hold in your hand when harvesting crops, maybe with like 20 slots but these slots are only available for harvestables. After the first three plants I had no more room and had to throw the rest of my crops in the vicinty from where I had to pick them up / eat as many as I could. Is there any detriment to not harvesting ripe crops? Do they just go bad or disappear?

Uhm, ... why am I unable to plant seeds? Made a garden plot, dug the tiles, put seeds in my hand, aiming towards the tiles, and no option to plant seeds appears...? Did I miss something? One bag of seeds was damaged, one of them was pristine... still no joy...

Good to know I can grow without that dreaded fertilizer... Thought the servers went down, but they didn't ^^ I received an authentication time out, but hey, no crashes, so I'm happy. Pretty smooth gameplay so far :) Edit: And I should have just kept my mouth shut because as soon as I went back in I got a mem. crash... Oh grrr..

Has anyone been able to find any binoculars? By now it seems that everything has been looted quite well, and canned food is hard to come by. Problem is, I also can not find any fertilizer. I got seeds and all that happy crap. Is Fertilizer mandatory?

Haha, oh this is too good! I found three tents, two of them in the same house. I'ma be opening up Tent City LOL Left some stuff in the tent, came back 5 minutes later, all gone. Meh, oh well. Anyone seen any Zeds yet?

He left last year. The rest of the team still is going strong though :) I think if you type "Dean Hall leaving DayZ" there should be tons about it on google.

Patience, Hasi, alles zu seiner Zeit. (Everything in it's own time.) Granted though, it would be cool if they could leave two servers up so we can play, and then when the others have the new update, take those two down and put the updated ones on. But it is what it is ;-)

I love the pic of the new archer's bow (or whatchamacallit), that may become my new fave out there.

Can't wait to get home this afternoon and finally get back to my reliable internet! Once it ran this morning it ran somewhat smooth, but I have not been able to find fishing hooks anywhere - Beach / Boats / Boonie Hats / Garages and shacks... I'd love to be able to craft one from bones though, maybe that'll finally happen tonight or tomorrow!

You know those boarded up wells? Combine a bucket with a rope and let's try to get some of that old murky disgusting water out there, maybe with a slight chance of catching sardines or edible frogs or whatever else lurks down there? Oh, and do the sardine traps work in lakes or only in the ocean? I remember you needed a plastic bottle that you cut open - what was the other thing... wire?
