    When I'm playing and down to one or no morphine/bandages, the only thing I'm trying to do is get more. Looks like you just need to get your priorities straight. Going for military loot when you need hospital gear.. your fault dawg.

    Bleeding after 1 hit

    I've bled in 1hit but I've also not bled after 10 hits. So is it random and people are just really noticing the 1 hit bleeds? I like that you always need bandages, morphine and to a lesser extent painkillers in your pack or you are at serious risk. It forces you to make tough inventory decisions. Slim down on morphine/bandage to fit another SD clip or not?

    So I'm new to Arma2.. why is Autorun not in the game? Is it a "not hardcore" thing or something? It's the one thing I really wish was in DayZ.

    Does Six Updater keep the beta client up to date? I have avoided all uniform changes ever since I was ported to the ocean and lost everything..

    So..uhhh...now what?

    My buddy and I are ran into the same situation. The next step is to pick a good sever, pitch a tent somewhere in the wood and start dumping gear into it. Live off the nearby cities and make runs with just your pistol and an empty pack and fill your tent up with awesome stuff. Then when you die, just just need to get back to it and you can restock many times. After that.. try to get a vehicle? Still haven't seen one myself.

    You guys sure you aren't on bad servers? Some servers will have a memory leak or something that causes FPS to be in the toilet no matter what you do. "Good" servers are very smooth. Try a few different servers first before messing with your own settings.

  9. I tested this last night so I'm fairly certain it's how it works. I found a deer stand full of junk. Went away came back, still junk. Cleared all the junk and dropped it in the woods and the stand respawned when I came back with fresh stuff. What would the negative be for allowing loot to re-spawn at whatever it's interval and overwrite whatever is already in that loot spawn's spot? Would there be too much good gear in the world? Cans and other junk loot would still spawn, it just wouldn't be left there causing a server that's been up for a while to have stale loot everywhere. You could even increase the % chance of junk loot to spawn to tweak this. Just some thoughts, I love the game but I can't believe anyone likes dumping their packs to clear out a good spawn point and make it re-pop. I found a barn with 5 axes last night. Didn't even try that one, would have taken a while.
  10. Didn't realize that, so up north where there are less players the loot does wipe itself out and re-spawn..
  11. Nighttime is fine, some of the best stuff happens then. Use Chemlights, flashlights flairs or play on an offset server if you hate it so much.
  12. Munch on any food you find, you get minimal blood from all canned food. If you have what you need to cook an animal you get like 800 blood per cooked meat. Best way is a transfusion but you need a friendly player and a bloodbag (get at a hospital).
  13. I understand all the types and high vs low yield. I'm trying to figure out how the game decides what and when to spawn. So if a place has 2 possible loot spawns and there is a chance of zombies to spawn as well, can they take up a loot slot? If the two loot spawns are an AK and a tin can, someone takes the AK but leaves the can. Then there is a respawn, does it only spawn for the missing AK? That means eventually it will just be 2 tin cans and never resapwn until someone actually takes both cans away? I've had a barn I was in respwan some loot while I was in it when another surviver came running nearby. Does this mean it spawn loot when it detects a "new" player approaching? It's not time based? Just trying to figure out why most places I find, high yield barns and such are just chalk full of cans and whiskey bottles (redneck party barns). If you need to remove stuff to spawn, that requires quite a lot of pack space. Wondering if there is any chance of an overhaul of this system? Maybe items that haven't been touched for X time can be overwritten? Thanks for any info!

    Seriously, WTF?

    My only complaint with the current verson is how bad crouchrun is. It just slows the game down a ton to have to prone everywhere. A few versions ago you only had to prone if you were pretty close. I love the changes to volume and sight depending on what surfaces you are on, just wish the visibility of crouchrun and crouchwalk for that matter were reduced a hash or two.

    Map and GPS

    Does it do this even if you Shift-LeftClick a spot on the map? Even with no GPS? I thought that was only for you.
  16. My buddy and I have been playing a lot of nighttime and having a blast. We find that chemlights are the best way to stay together however the only usable ones are blue and I'm wondering if the blue are bugged or the rest. Basically a blue chemlight lights up the entire player model if you are within say 25yards, when you move out of that range, all you see is a little wisp that is the chemlight itself. It would be much harder to notice from far away therefore much safer to use. The red and green chems just light up the entire model no matter how far you are. Much less safe. Which one of these is bugged? I'm hoping blue is the way it's suppose to work and the others need to be fixed?

    Question about chemlights

    Yea blue by far is best at the moment. If they have set ranges on purpose before they drop the back-lighting of the model blue is the only one that is really usable without saying "shoot me please".
  19. What is the policy on locked servers? Today when browsing for 1.7.1.2 servers I came across one which had 1/32 players and was locked. Seems kind of lame to me that people can just run around solo on a locked server and kit up.

    I should not have called out the server. I edited it out. My question is just about locked servers in general and if they are suppose to exist. I've seen them every day not just today with the new patch.

    Will do. So I assume locked servers are a no no then? Even the ones that are like 12/30 or whatever could all be friends. Are locked servers in general permitted?
  22. The 10fps is the server find one that is managed better.
  23. CW was nerfed visual but buffed sound wise. You can crouch walk right behind a Zed that you just passed. You only need to prone if someone is looking directly at you. Everyone needs to pay attention to the ground below them too. If it makes more noise, go slow/prone, other than that you can CW everywhere.
  24. Not that I care but my 2nd life last night I got DRM'd about 1 minute after spawn. I don't think those guys would go into town to loot the beans before anyway. It's killing for the sake of killing. I like it that way though, the only thing I don't like is not being able to get lucky and sneak up behind one as a noob and hit the jackpot, until you get at least a dbbl barrel shotty, I guess.

    Wooo loot is so screwed :D

    Last night my buddy and I thought they just adjusted food/drink way down to make it matter more. I was actually digging it. We found one chicken and then I looted a steak off a dead guy. Both of us were flashing hunger at one point which almost never happened before. It's broken now but if food/drink was dialed down a bit I wouldn't mind at all.
