  1. No, he saw a hacker, watched him for 5 minutes, saw him kill two others then got killed himself by the hacker. That's a special kind of silly right there.

    I ducking hate you bandits

Honestly the most fun I have in the game are from start till I'm geared up. I have a few real life friends that I group with and one went all Ralphie rage (beans to anyone that gets that reference) on a gas pump. We had previously shot it so much we figured it wasn't in the game yet that they blow up, he had played the mod and I guess they smoke before they blow up also.. well long story short he had to re-gear and talking over vent with him as he worked back to where we normally play he was having so much fun I almost suicided just to join him. As the game currently stands the Journey IS the game IMO.

    Back to Berezino

Ok, but they are the "DEAD-Dealers" not death.. my guess is Johnny Depth and his crew would cry crocodile tears if they saw that death dealer moving to them

I don't understand, you "dead-dealers" deal in the dead? You deal dead what? If you were death dealers that might worry me, this sounds like a morbid group of people tossing out cards to poker players. Do you wear white shirts and bow ties?

    Long range scopes?

Tents were packed with loot, now they don't spawn anything so as others have said hangers and control towers are your best bet now for a LRS.

So in essence, if you are logging out only to log in on another server right after you logged out, then yes you are doing something wrong (in my opinion), Now.. if you logged out, waited for the timer to end, moved positions on a different server then came back to your original server that's a problem. He said he logged, he didn't say he server hopped. As I said in my first post, if he did that then it's a huge difference.

I am not trying to get you to argue, I could not care less if you respond, lets also remember that after he logs his character in game stays there for 30 seconds to a minute or so. So it would have been at least a few minutes after the final round was shot before his body was out of the game. to suggest logging to avoid combat that isn't happening is combat logging is a stretch to me, again different opinions and views and that's fine, but the normal view of combat logging is to avoid combat that is happening or has happened and not stopped (you shoot at someone, they aren't dead and you log to avoid them). In this case he was engaged by three people, killed them all, waited a minute and logged. As I said before the term combat logging can't be used here simply because there was no combat going on. Fear logging? Sure. Make a new name for it if you want, but no combat going on kind of omits the possibility of combat logging IMO.

So in essence he should stay logged in forever? In that city you wait there long enough someone will be nice enough to give you more combat so you should run out of the building that everyone knows just had a gun fight so every sniper in the area can shoot you from 800m? That's not combat logging that's being smart. He gave up his location in a huge way after three gun fights if he exits that building (depending on that amount of people on the server) there is a good chance he gets shot before he has a chance to do anything, that's honorable? I don't understand what he was expected to do, sit there? Exit and be sniper bait? Is it honorable to snipe someone exiting a building that can't see you or harm you? So he really simply avoided allowing someone else to be dishonorable. :D

    Nerd RAAAAAAGE! (my first death)

The top of the tech buildings has a weapon 90% of the time just have to understand where it is and how to find it. It's invisible almost every time.

Well you could keep your opinion, or I could change mine to yours or we can both disagree. None of that matters thought honestly, facts are fact. Three people attacked someone, all three died. Combat was over, how can it be a combat log situation? Yes he feared that the multitude of bandits that hang out in that area would be drawn to the sounds of gunfire so he logged, at the time he wasn't in combat. He simply didn't want to deal with the possible flood of people to the school. So the fact he didn't want to deal with another one on multiple situation makes him a combat logger in your opinion? By definition "combat" (no it wasn't going on at the time) "logger" (yes he logged out) wouldn't he simply be a "logger"?

Big difference in logging with bullets flying around and logging out roughly a minute after the last round has been fired. In theory, sitting in Electro you could be shot at at anytime so if it's been a minute or so sense rounds have gone off as I see it combat is over. Also if you attack me and I kill you (or you kill me) and then one of us logs out the combat was over so how can it be combat logging?

    A Typical SKS story

That's what you get for sending your buddy on the low ground to his death while you wimped out on the high ground not even covering him. :D :P

Take your perfectly coordinated self to the apartment buildings and brave them top to bottom and you will impress me until then your just lucky.

That's a big part, so you killed three guys that attacked you and then after that you logged to get your wits about you, don't sweat it. They clearly wanted to be killed (especially the guy with the axe) you did them a favor. Guys who attack first for no reason and don't kill me I consider myself assisting in there suicide attempt.
  15. StoutAle

You say it was self defense but you said you killed the first one because he had a SKS and you had and M4. Did he shoot first? Someone simply having a SKS doesn't mean you can shoot them "in self defense". You wanted to get to safety without running into anyone after looting a good loot area, so instead of leaving the area you logged in the school. Combat was over, so I can't say it was combat logging, sounds like you kind of freaked out having taken out three guys in a row having never really had that happen. No biggie. Other then the guy with the SKS the other two attacked you and got killed then you logged out. Now.. if you logged out, waited for the timer to end, moved positions on a different server then came back to your original server that's a problem. Tobias, umm he said "(we were in school at electro)" so he did say where he was, and you were spot on he was in Electro.

How do I turn off sunbeams?

If you actually read what I quoted and understood a tad about what we are talking about you'd understand what was going on. The person I quoted said "Never driven into a 16:00 sun during wintertime I suppose? there's nothing "too bright" about it.".. he's talking real life. The problem with that argument is yes most of us have driven then and it was bright so we put on sunglasses and or a hat to help with that problem. In the game the hat and glasses don't help so you can't compare the situations. Toss in the fact that the sunbeams coming from the sun beams through trees in this game is so blinding it's like looking directly at the sun in real life. Also not realistic. Like I said don't try to bring real life into this because things in this game aren't mimicking real life. Make the sunbeams realistic to the point you don't get sun blind from glancing that way or make sunglasses/hats work as they do in real life. Having the beams as bright as they are (way to bright for a "realistic" like game) and also making sunglasses/hats serve no purpose (again, not realistic at all) doesn't make sense. I understand it's Alpha, but you don't have to be a developer to understand that the beams through the trees can be toned down a bit. I don't want it adjustable in options, just make it at least close to accurate in game. Not a lot to ask for, not game changing. If they can make full moon darkness and complete darkness work, they can make overcast work, then make "sunny" work more realistic. At the rate they are going with the sun as powerful as it is if it's going to be realistic the trees should be catching fire in Wednesdays patch with all that heat burning through them.

How do I turn off sunbeams?

I'm not sure where I cried for a nerf, I was simply pointing out that your ever so useful post trying to relate this game to real life was useless. My only thought is if they want to be realistic, and it seems they do, if the sun is a factor then things that block the sun should be also. Based on where you are and where you want to get sometimes you can't have your back to the glare, obviously in a firefight you need to do that but the sunbeams through the trees and such are more a pain when making long runs from point a to point b not when messing around in a city.

How do I turn off sunbeams?

Why do people try to bring real life into this? I have driving at that time and it's bright, so I put on sunglasses and or a hat to help block the sun from being that bright. So your point is what? This game has hats with visors and sunglasses, if they want to be "realistic" them items would actually work as well as the sun does.

    Why is hardcore so underpopulated?

I played 3pp to start because a lot of FPS give me vertigo/motion sickness feeling really bad. I researched it and messed with the settings and after changing some things first person doesn't bug me at all. I honestly feel cheap using 3pp honestly. I have to friends that a team with and they both use it and see people I can't around fences and such but I just don't get it. Seems to kill part of the game for me. People say the field of view on here is horrible and use that as an excuse to use 3pp but lets be honest a real life FoV doesn't allow you to see over an 8 foot fence or around corners without actually looking so lets toss that excuse to make things easier out already. If you like 3pp fine, it's in the game and use it all you want. Just stop with the lame excuses to justify making a game easier.
  20. I ran into these on my HC guy and I can't for the life of me find them again. There was a HUGE complex with these buildings all over and a few other buildings (almost like it was a university with a main building also) anyone know what I mean/where it is?

    Weapon Attachments

Hangers and also the two bunkers by the airfield that have camo netting also is a great place for all kinds of weapon attachments.

    Killed upon connecting to server

As in most online games your character spawns in the game before you actually see him on the screen. The guy saw you spawn in and shot ya. That's why I always log out in the woods in some pine trees or such.

    My first player kill

I have some what taken up a "if they don't respond to chat they are the enemy" attitude. Reason being I've only ever been shot at by people who don't respond and anyone who's ever responded has never taken a shot at me. You were more then fair.
  24. Your ideas simply are driven by what you played in a single player game, you need to think multiplayer. If you make "ready to use" items more rare how does the guy that buys the game 6 months down the road survive?
