I've had this same thought running around in the rain getting soaked recently. I like the fact that you'll have toske a choice about it, but the length if rainstorms definitely needs to be balanced. I haven't really paid attention to how long they last, but I'm going to start. I think 10 or 15 minutes max is a good starting point.

My 2 cents: no. Finding your first gun after a respawn is fun.

I think there's 4 of them up at the moment (3 regular, 1 hard core). Everyone is trying to get on, so free slots are scarce. Kind of like the loot. Even with the fixes to loot spawning, they're picked pretty clean. I don't think they've been restarted since they were brought up this morning. It was a lot of fun when I was on though ;)

Did you ever get hit? There's a bug where you won't see the healthy status until you've been injured and had to heal first. With no zombies around, it's hard to get that first injury.

Ouch, that's a bad place for that to happen. I've had it happen in a jail building and a fire station, but you've got me beat with the well in Electro! What I've done when it happens is to move out of the area as fast and as safely as possible when I log back in. You have no idea who's there and what's going on. Once you've had a chance to assess the situation, you can go back in if you want. Or you could run into the nearest building and hole up there for a few minutes while you scope things out. One thing is for sure, it's going to be a fun first few minutes back on the server! Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Well played and cool vid. One suggestion - next time eat all your food. If your not energized and hydrated, you're not healing. Also, beans for hard core!

On today's experimental patch? It's working for me, although I didn't pay attention to how long it took to see if it was longer than normal. I was too busy scrounging for food. On a 40/40 server with all fresh spawns, the locusts clean everything up really quick. It's like the Lord of the Flies in there ;)

Well played. You should stick with hardcore, even though the jerks you ran into run counter to the "hardcore is more friendly" theory. Good call on everyone taking their shoes off. One suggestion in the future would be for everyone to "take a knee" and figure out who is who. Overall though, you guys were very effective as a pick up team. Have some beans.

What's really funny is when you aggro them - they jump off and commit zombie suicide. Someone recorded it in the gallery a couple of weeks back. Saw it myself the other day. Hilarious.

I've lost things I've placed on the floor in both the piano house and the grocery store before. I think they ended up inaccessible under ground, since I had the same thing happen on the second floor of the jail building and found the item on the first floor. Haven't lost anything to tree yet, but I'm not looking to try. Thanks for the heads up about them ;)

I've always thought that this type of behavior says more about the person engaging in it than anything else. I've talked to a bunch of random people in game and haven't come across anything like this yet. However, since this is the internet, I'm sure it's out there. The interwebz really lets some people's inner idiot shine through. Sad.

It looks like a blank piece of paper spawned just underneath the landing at the top of the stairs. What you're seeing is exactly what you see when you look at a piece of paper. If you had a pen, you could have left a note on it.

It's not really funny (your description of them is spot on), but it's a part of the game. The lesson here is don't follow the roads, especially on the coast, and especially when you see discarded gear around. It either came off of people they already killed or they put it there to make you stop.

For what it's worth, I played the latest build on both experimental (yesterday after hicks brought some of the servers up) and now stable (since the update this morning) and didn't see any issues. Played for about an hour both times. Have you tried verifying your game cache in steam?

You may need an intervention. However, I do admire your choice to go around shoeless.

The model for the tomato in game is huge. When I first saw it I thought it was a rotten pumpkin or something. You also need to find the tactical bacon. It says it can last for 10 years and it was delicious. Next time I'll have to take a screen shot. Also, I don't think that's the new town. If that's near Lopatino and the NWAF it's been there for awhile.
