Interesting factoid on the 4 limit and this is very likely intentional at this time. Zombies atm are a temporary alpha placeholder. They are not in the final/planned version nor are they optimized. Limits like this are in place on a lot of things to help keep lag/FPS drop problems under control as the game's architecture is improved/optimized to handle the high volume of planned dynamic items.

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
iBane replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
OP was this video taken on Experimental or Stable branch and on what build version? -
OP, this is when I knew this was all your fault... "Running around the map for an hour to run to the Cherno..."
-
Item spawn balancing is like about as low-priority as it gets during this early-stage development. It is and should be a much higher priority to make sure newly-introduced items spawn a lot so they are used/tested at high levels to help ID bugs quickly. Yes LRS are handy to have in-game from the player's perspective, but these have been in-game for a while and have been tested and tweaked already. Whether their spawn rates are too low/too high from the finished-game perspective is irrelevant right now.
-
OP you aren't the only one; I've have not found a mag for the AmphibiaS yet either.

well if it isnt a speed hacker its a jail floor glitcher

Not yet. No rangefinder in the game.

Am i better off just 2 shotting someone with fists or chance it with the fireaxe/bat?
iBane replied to wmike20052's topic in General Discussion
Fists are kinda of OP because they can knock you unconscious in one hit. So be careful. If someone one back off, I'd just shoot them. -
Rocket, What would YOU like to see in DayZ?
iBane replied to muffy_duffy's topic in General Discussion
They are supposed to release a development roadmap sometime (of course I believe the original due date was last December...) This would help answer y(our) questions. -
dude, that's pretty cool. Some issues to overcome, but all-in-all cool.

There are a lot of strong opinions on Frankie in this thread and at least half of them from people who clearly haven't watched many of his vids. That being said, the OP topic and following discussion has gotten confused by the mention of F's name (he's polarizing for sure). The topic is that "everyone" is pro-hero/anti-kos. This is nonsense.
-
Yeah, I don't combat log, but still would like to see what happens when I do log out. Also, to be able to post the vid for the devs to review to make sure what is happening is what is intended. I believe your character is supposed to assume the F3 resting position and not be constantly changing stances. Sounds like a bug.
-
Would be useful for someone who records to get this recorded with a friend's help. I'd be interested to see what happens when we log off and for how long.

It is a mis-characterization of how Frankie Plays the game to say he never KOS' or suggests that players should never KOS. Frankie absolutely does shoot some players on sight in his vids which means your premise if false. As an example, he KOS when he counter snipes - which he does quite often even though the sniper isn't shooting at him. What I think Frankie would say (and more or less does say in his commentaries) is that KOS being the only response to any situation is boring, noobish, and a lowly way to play. Instead, Frankie's approach is to asses the situation and other players' behavior and make your decision based on the information you have. For Frankie it is "better" and more entertaining to hold players up without killing them when possible (the benevolent bandit), but this isn't always possible as just about any of his vids demonstrates.

Players are more attached to loot then keeping character alive
iBane replied to Pokerguy12's topic in General Discussion
Some players are this way; not all. However, with persistent storage this will get much much worse unless there is an incentive to have a long-lived character. -
OH ffs...just unistall

How often do the Experimental Servers reset?
iBane replied to wmike20052's topic in General Discussion
US servers restart about every 4 hours. They have Daylight for 3 hours. Then 1 hour of dark and restart. -
Comparing accuracy of LRS for the Mosin
iBane replied to Blades of Blood's topic in General Discussion
So I'm assuming there is a camo paint recipe for Mosin as well as SKS and others. Didn't see that in the change log. -
Then don't play experimental. They will over-spawn to make sure thorough testing gets done.
-
Window, I love your signature quote...lmao.

Comparing accuracy of LRS for the Mosin
iBane replied to Blades of Blood's topic in General Discussion
In terms of accuracy no difference between pristine and damaged scope at range (500m in this demo) -

Cool. Thanks. -
The truth about heroes, bandits, survivors, KOS, and friendlies.
iBane replied to Etherimp's topic in General Discussion
This is good stuff. Would like to see it pinned as well, but in two sections. The first discussion should be a "DayZ Philosophy" post and the second section a "List of DayZ Rules To Live & Die By" Well done OP. -
New Guns In DayZ The Colt 1911, Sporter 22 And The CR 75
iBane replied to leefriendfield's topic in General Discussion
CZ75 is an excellent pistol IRL...mine is polished stainless and it's a shooter. :D -
Check the later pages of the changelog thread. Several folks have ID the differences between 0.36, 0.37, & 0.42
