You should provide links where these elements were "promised." I heard some of them discussed by Dean, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he promised them. That being said regardless of what Dean does or does not get done over the next year, it is in Bohemia's interest to deliver content the community wants and beyond that this game will have a strong modding community which will be able to implement things like this. -

A couple of weeks ago I joined the experimental branch for the first time and experienced the no-loot wasteland. 2 hours desperately searching for food, which I eventually found. Honestly this was one of the most tense and entertaining sessions of DayZ SA I've had.

Seems like the strike range is short with the fire ax. Zeds can hit you from 2-3 times farther away than you can hit them...not a big deal as they are wimps at the moment...but it doesn't feel balanced and reasonable.

Just to clarify the reticle fix has been implemented only on the experimental branch so far. It will roll out to stable probably next week or the week after.

I would LOVE good stealth mechanics. They have a such a long way to go to be able to implement them though...sound is such a critical part of any stealth system and let's be honest sound isn't a strength of this game right now... -

If the current state of firearms availability is A then what are you proposing the future state B should be? 50% of A? 10% of A? 25% of A? Agree that flashlight should be one-handed and should be able to be equipped with other one handed items like the machete. However, the game doesn't have the functionality currently to have two separate items in hands at the same time. They have to be combined items currently, so I have the feeling this wouldn't be a small change.

You're premise is flawed. When you presuppose that IRL: "...people would shoot each other, some out of spite, out of rage or whatever - but not to the extent that they do in DayZ," you couldn't be more wrong. When resources are tight and people are desperate they will do whatever it takes to survive. They will move to the dark side of human behavior farther, faster, and more often than players do in DayZ. DayZ is a game...if people are really starving or a really in fear for their lives they will react much more intensely than what you find in a game. All that being said, people don't really need the threat of starvation and death to abandoned any sense of human decency. If the systems of consequence are removed from their society they will murder, loot, and pillage with reckless abandon. I refer you to New Orleans in the days following Hurricane Katrina...wanton theft, property destruction, and lawlessness because the good citizens knew there was no police force or legal system in place to stop them. Once the consequences were gone, so went their reluctance to break the law. So no, DayZ isn't an excessive representation of the dark side of humanity...in fact the opposite is true...it UNDER-represents how selfish, vicious, and murderous humans will actually be when times are desperate and there are no systems of consequence to deter them.

Are you on experimental branch or stable? Experimental servers are all busy and they are all hardcore.
