Anyone else tried shooting a rabbit?

Rabbits are annoying in my opinion. So many times I have freaked out due to zombie noises behind me all of a sudden. Was it a zombie? Nope rabbit -_-

    Where the hell are everyone?

Yeah even on 40 player servers, which are full it is like a ghost town in cities like Electro for some reason. But the creepy thing is, people are like ghosts in this game, so I don't think they are empty, perhaps more careful?

Im so bad at this game I'm almost crying

Don't worry I suck as well XD. The reason why, for me is a lack of experience in the game and my conscience. If I kill someone I feel about 80% of the time like crap afterwards. This leads to a vicious cycle of not killing someone I should which leads to my death. I also am a bit too trusting which also leads to my death. I feel this will change with time, or I will snap one day after being KoS'd for the 500th time, and just KOS as well, thought that would make me feel bad I think.
  4. I can see this not ending well. Either you will be over run by bandits, Heavy Weight Champion new spawns or bandits pretending to be trustworthy, so on the day they betray you for the "lols". So I suggest people don't attend.
  5. KOS is very annoying, but it no one can do anything about it, unless they remove PVP entirely. I think that they should introduce a way to give player life more value in the future, to try and limit it as much as possible, as it can easily wreck peoples game playing experience.
  6. I agree with OP in the sense that 1. Just because it is in Alpha does not mean it and the devs should be immune to criticism 2. Some of the things in game are no acceptable in the Alpha. As someone earlier mentioned, the animals making zombie noises. Many a time has this scared the crap out of me, just because the devs are as the person put it too lazy to make them silent, as after all they have no use yet or change their noises to animals. This to me is not acceptable even in an Alpha, and is not something that is difficult to fix.

    Mega Bug

Try vaulting at the wall, when I get stuck in up reachable rooms on the odd occasion, it usually works for me. Also the laughter at the title.
  8. I have no problem with mods at all, and I think they can add a lot to a game. At the same time, should this game ever be finished, it will likely have most features people want. So as a compromise why not allow approved mods only? You can submit it yo Bohemia or wherever is most appropriate and if they think it is ok, they will allow it to be a mod of the game.

How far along is the zombie apocalypse?

My character is a convicted criminal, who was forced on Chernarus for their crimes, due to an over crowded prison system where they came from. This also explains at least to my why there are so many psychopaths shooting peoples to death on the island.

    Screenshots for my article

Hello Everyone! I am writing an article on Early Access gaming for a journalism assessment, where I discuss some of its pros and cons. I am using Dayz:Sa as an example of an Early Access game but I have had trouble getting screenshots of players in game (keep getting killed before the shot can be taken, or it was not very good). Please if you would post your screenshots which you will allow me to use. Also please if you could post a username (either ingame or your forum username) so I can properly reference you. Also feel free to give it a short title. Thank you P.S. Please make sure the photos are appropriate.
  12. The Cold War saw many different buildings to help both the East and West should hostilities, specifically nuclear war break out. These include shelters, extensive bunkers and submarine bases. Chernarus, while not Russian itself could very well have sided with them during the Cold War and allowed Russia to build a submarine base, on their land. That is my idea, a Soviet Era submarine base, specifically for repairing submarines somewhere in Chernarus. Backstory: While the backstory for the base can change the basic idea would be as follows: During the Cold War Russia builds this secret submarine base on the east coast of Chernarus, to help its military/spying efforts. It is manned by Russia till the end of the Cold War, when it is abandoned by the Russian military who no longer need it. After a short stint of being abandoned, it is repaired and inhabited by the Chernarus military who use it for their submarines. Once the infection hits, it becomes a base of operations for the military, as well as a haven for civilians till it is over tun and the military either did or retreat. Location: It would need to be on the east coast to gain access to the sea, and would need to be close to towns, and in a mountainous area, so it is easier to hide. Somewhere up North would be best, perhaps somewhere close to the NEAF. What would it look like? I think it would be cool if it was based off of this Underground Sub Base at Balasklava, though it's design can change based on what size it will be etc. http://englishrussia.com/2011/11/05/underground-submarine-base-of-balaklava/ What kind of loot would be available? This is where the repair part of its name comes in. Along with loot expected of a military run area (guns ammo, clothing) it would have parts to repair cars, boats and other such vehicles. This would make sense, as a place like this would be expected to have these types of items. It may also be an area where you could find (if something like this is implemented) information on what happened in Chernarus, during the out break. This could include documents, recordings, reports and the like. Will there be a Submarine? Can I ride it? I think there should be a submarine, but it should just be for show and not for joy rides. Not only may it be impossible with the engine, but it is kind of pointless, unless used for spying on boats or bases near the water. People should be able to enter and loot the submarine but not much more, exct maybe use the periscope. Feel free to comment on my idea, and ask any questions about it. Thanks for reading!

    Soviet-Era Abandoned Submarine Repair Base

Yeah there is nothing really. When I searched before posting submarines where only really just mentioned in other threads.

    Soviet-Era Abandoned Submarine Repair Base

Oh I see what you mean. I would say that if the base was to be radioactive, it would be minimal so as long as you didn't stay there for a very very long time, you should be ok. While I would not mind if the base was radioactive! and while it may be more realistic! it would probably be better as you suggest just to leave it radioactive free.

    reverse supermarket model?

I would not mind a redesign of some of the supermarkets. Also Op your title is confusing, at least to me. Perhaps try changing it to "Super Market redesign" or something similar.

    Soviet-Era Abandoned Submarine Repair Base

That is the idea, zombies and looting in a place, you need to be careful when entering, as people could be hiding inside, or enter in after you.

    Soviet-Era Abandoned Submarine Repair Base

Yeah, the Soviets as well as the US and other used nuclear power to make their subs run. I understand this is fro. Wikipedia, but still it sums up when the soviets started using nuclear reactor subs nicely. "The Soviet Union soon followed the United States in developing nuclear-powered submarines in the 1950s. Stimulated by the U.S. development of the Nautilus, Soviet work on nuclear propulsion reactors began in the early 1950s at the Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, in Obninsk, under Anatoliy P. Alexandrov, later to become head of the Kurchatov Institute. In 1956, the first Soviet propulsion reactor designed by his team began operational testing. Meanwhile, a design team under Vladimir N. Peregudov worked on the vessel that would house the reactor." From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_submarine#Soviet_.2F_Russian_Navy

I was thinking of suggesting some of the area be radioactive, as the subs themselves would have been.

    Novigrad - Capital of Chernarus

This sounds like an epic idea. Not only would it be good to have more than one map got the SA to keep it fresh but also give players both new and old a new piece of Chernarus to explore. I would imagine Novigrad would be the biggest hotspot on the map, as well as an excellent place for ambushes and sniping from the tall buildings. It would be cool if there were some items unique to the map. Not many items perhaps so few hats and maybe a few vehicles and weapons. I know many people would love to explore the map looking for these items. Also it could be a map that helps elaborate on the outbreak, with documents you could find or maybe radio transmissions from a number station giving information on the outbreak. 100% Supported.

    Soviet-Era Abandoned Submarine Repair Base

I am not very knowledgable on the History of Chernarus, so if we are in a small part of a larger whole, it would make sense they continued with the base after Russia left. Not only could they as a country afford to So, but also they would need it for defence reasons. Thanks for your contribution =D

    Soviet-Era Abandoned Submarine Repair Base

If that is a concern, it could easily be said that the Russians left subs behind which the Chernarus military used. Also, they probably could afford the subs, considering they have three military bases in such close proximity, as well as various city areas. Either way, the backstory can be changed, to simply have been abandoned once Russia left, depending on if it is required.

    Serverhopping mother-effers

I am going to suggest that you stop trying to convince them, simply because I have noticed this community are for the most part stubborn and resistant to change that does not fit with their "vision" even to the point that mere suggestions of change cause problems. Not that I am saying this is bad, it is every other dedicated fan base ever. I don't think your lying, seeing as you continue to defend yourself despite continued opposition. It may be annoying, but you have to keep going, until a good fix or idea emerges on how to fix server hopping.
  23. I would like it to come to the SA, especially if as I heard they will bring in mod support for t he SA (not sure if it is correct though). Also it will likely be on private servers so there is no need to worry about it interfering with Dayz, as the majority of servers would still have vanilla SA.

If they are banned, and it was a false ban, they can go thought the proper channels to get unbanned, posting this just helps those who hack, not innocence.

Oh fun - all geared up 12 hours ago, now naked. Fun.

I do apologise if my post is confusing in any way, as I replied after I woke and only had a few minutes to reply so I shall now with a more clear mind make myself more clear. I replied to your post and that of the other persons, because I fell that both of you didn't seem to get what I was trying to say. With your reply (which I did read) it seemed to me that you were simply disagreeing with me, and not bothering to actually fully reply to my post, instead using a quote. To me your quote said simply "your wrong" and not all of the things which you now claim in your reply to me. Quotes can be very easily taken out of context, as I did with yours, if not provided with an explanation if what they are saying and the relation of it to your argument. I would apologise if I took it out of context, but I this instance it is more your fault than mine. All you had to do was post a one sentence reply to what I had to say with the quote, which you didn't.
