I usually hit the head all day! It just take practice.... I usually point/aim the little dot to the left of the zombie's body. And I would be as close to the zombie that I cant walk forward cause I bump into it. I move my mouse left as I swing my weapon. If you aim your dot in the middle of the screen at the zombie you will not hit it.

Your using a M4A1 CCO SD, and you must be in the treeline east of nwaf looking east at the lone Barn around 052 047.. btw that picture is way to hard to guess :D BTW, that gun is great for zombie killing,, but not against ppl imo.. I like the sa-58 iron sight better.

I think the text notifications are written wrong. I think that if you current temperature is lower than normal, it will state that you are getting colder and not that you are colder than you should be. And when you are way colder than you should be, it states that your rapidly getting colder. Like the text is written wrongly. As I get "you are slowly cooling off" when I am infact warming up, and get "you are slowly warming up* when I hit desired temperature. Simply read it as: -"you are currently a bit cold" -"you are currently very cold" -"you are at desired temperature"

Hi there, this has been a problem since I first tested the standalone last xmas.. The History and Favorites menu are problematic to use to the point where its more convenient to use pen and paper. -There are no time stamp on when you was on a server, or what character you got on that server. - It randomly shows servers I've been to, not every server, just a few servers I might have been on. -Most of the times I have not found the most recent (e.g. last session) server I was on. - Favorites/history (both) menu seem to clear itself randomly, and if I favorite something it might forget the old list and only show that one server. But most of the times it is empty. Do you guys see them make some changes to this anytime soon? It would be nice. I would like to see a option to write personal and/or local stored notes for each server so you can write who you played with, what character you had and such things like a small text under items. And a option to view everything including offline servers that you have Favorited, so you know if they still are in the list or not.

I like the blaze 95, It is great, but hard to find. You only need one bullet to kill. I don't use automatic weapons in dayz.

Hello, Can someone list every item that is a source of heat that affects how warm you are? Like things that you can stand next to and get warm again. I've never server jumped before, but I think I will die from walking to a new town at this point, so I have looked through the same town 3 times and yet to find a box of matches. So there is no way to dry off you clothes and get warm besides a fire then? thats a shame,, oh well ^^ lets hope I find matches soon, probably in the first house I look after I die hehe

Killing someone because you need loot you cant find is different than everyone running around with m4/ak and full gear pvp'ing cause there nothing left to do..at least the reasons are different

I like that its a challenge to survive the zombies, the cold and the hunger. I had to play and die a lot to learn how to do it. And it was fun. What is fun with surviving until they wipe your character with a new update? Now I don't die as often, but my current character needs matches to stay allive from the cold. I got full gear and are now faced with death without some fire! Its fun ^^

How can I more easy find out what server I got what character on? I mean I can login on one server and then another and suddenly I am a newspawn, but then next server I am on then Im back as the other character I played before. And so on,,, I wanted a fresh spawn today without loosing all of my gear, and I remember I had my guy on a 1st person server (hardcore or whatever) so I decided to join a 3rd person server to be sure to get a new spawn or at least another character,, but NOP,, got the same gear as I had on my 1st person server... like woot,, this is totally new to me,, before I had 3-4 caracters on regular and 3-4 characters on hardcore, like back in 0.45 or whatever.... The thing is I still got like 5 different characters depending on what server I use,, but never before could one character be played on both regular and hardcore... Can someone give me a tip on how to keep track on what servers I got what gear/location? feels like its very random.

-They should add a Black suit with shoes, hat and different tie's like a 5 items set with different colors and stuff! I like to look like Hitman =P - Add more weaopns with the same ammo we got now, like 10 different guns per ammo type, that means ppl can choose a gun to go with their outfit, and even tho they might be similar, they look different, and we would have a server where nobody had the same gun, =P

So its not what host it is or something? idk,, there must be some logic to it,, like for instance every fragnet server is the same character or something,, or is it all just random?

Many great advice's here! someone should pick the thread up and make a guide of it on dayzintel or something :D I really play dayz for the survival, and exploring.. When I want some pvp action I go play some competitive CS:GO ffs!! hehe,, I think this thread makes my dayz playing alot saver and more fun, thank you everyone!

If most ppl think like that, and most ppl have atleast a .22 or a shotgun without ammo very early on,, then most ppl would shoot anyone ^^ but its probably smart

Can you search the same tree multiple times and find something? I assumed if I didn't find anything that the tree didn't have any apples on it ^^ Or do you just know of a field of trees?

Do you have a looting pattern or route, to insure you get like all those hard to find items to be able to do this BEFORE dying of cold and/or hunger? Like you need a axe, matchbox, a rifle/bow+ammo, and some tools and idk medical stuffz,.. Ive spent a hour looking for a matchbox now, its like impossible to find something if you really need it ^^

Found 1-3 Cows like 30% of the time I've been there at = Make a square where 083 050 is NW corner 085 053 is SE corner Ive been there like 20 times looking for one on different servers and differentt times.

Woot !?!, isnt bandwith in mb/s as in how fast you can download, and not a amount of stuff your allowed to download? idk,, seems odd, I got no restrictions, can dowload as fast as I can 24/7 if i want to..

If anyone notices that the serverrs are back up, it would be nice if you posted a quick "A YEA is back up" on here, so we all know!!
