Ah whatever...im tired of the dev team and their fan boys xdIf they said the water was purple some people would say "ahem..i agree!"... Lol
-
Lets keep this thread alive gents and post most interesting notes you have found and notes stories in general. I have a feeling this could be more popular as we go along with the general developement and more survival stuff is added. :)

Idiotic. Can't the developement team state the freaking changes...just...lol

Some Constructive Criticism about developemental direction: (WARNING! LONG POST!)
Calvin Candie replied to crazykage's topic in General Discussion
I agree with this. Not everyone are internet freaks and follow all available social media, sharing points and other gathering places. The official forum should be the place for official news from the developement team. -
Those cooking, fishing, hunting and fireplace appliances take too much damn space lol
-
And how do you know that they are cooking anything in the pot? I would like to state at that pot. :)
-
Agree completely. Beans for you, sir!

Where are the DEADLINES? Do you see any dates? 1 year is extremly abstract! I see you are an expert on project management - loland THESE are the type of people that Dean Hall can screw around with!

Check out his signature. The pig story is priceless.

Shrub Rocketeer and Machete Master. You two are the best thing that came out of DayZ SA. It is a honor knowing you through your posts.

What? See,thing is here, you have invested your own 23€ in their unfinished product. So you are not interested in the details of the progress and if the set DEADLINES are trully being met as well as goals achieved? You do not care if the game is finished in 2015 or 2017? I do care, and I do want to know. They got millions and millions of euros of our money. I know people will say "just let it go man" it is only 23€, let them work without distractions. But there is the business side to this project. NOT GIVING DETAILED INFORMATION TO BUYERS ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRODUCT THEY PRUCHASED IS UNPROFESSIONAL. We don't know if they are: - pissing around the money doing nothing - cutting costs to increase final profits by not employing more people at the expense of huge decrease in development speed - ignorant of how to use the resources they have been given OR MAYBE - really doing a good job of developing - making the right choices and correct plans for future steps - working hard and using our investment with ethics and professional bussines standards in mind. NOBODY KNOWS the clear answers to the above. I never seen a clear time table of the development in the next year. Why? Is it a secret? I believe not. Are they afraid to publish it? Yes. Why? Because they do not want to answer to anyone. Whoever turned DayZ into early access knew the meaning of the phrase: "Take the money and run!" I hope they change their attitude towards their freaking buyers.

I have read this whole thing and Rocket's explanations. Btw, I agree with the OP. My conclusion is that Rocket is not experienced enough to handle the marketing and PR side of this project. He keeps rambling on about how he and others do not have time to do detailed dev blogs and reports to the community. He mentions on several occasions the chaotic and unorganized nature of the development phase. -as in: "The devs made a new item, but I (rocket) don't know if they put it to test so I (rocket) cannot write it in the dev blog" I do not mean to be harsh and I have complete respect for Dean Hall, BUT, he and the dev team bear the OBLIGATION and the RESPONSIBILITY, in the spirit of good business ethic, to keep their buyers-investors (the community) informed, in detail and with clear weekly or monthly summary, containing the current state of the project, as well as the future plans. Sure, he doesn't need to actually feel this obligation himself. But I think he is only hurting himself in the business sense of any future project he will do, as I would personaly not buy the Alpha if I knew the entire team working in the project would neglect the community.

This happened to me few times. Kinda crappy they still cannot fix this. Hurray for alpha... When they fix this stuff, players won't use half of it because during alpha they learned to stay away from stairs, ladders, moving on rocks, steep slopes, water, doors and few other things..,xd

I appreciate everyone's ideas here. But I feel as if people are now trying so hard to find some sense and purpose in DayZ SA. But there isn't any. Yet. It is hard to convince yourself in any kind of "roleplay" in the mildest sense of the word. Any roleplay is being interupted by bad zombies, bugs and alike. But I find it very interesting to read this, as I often simulate different scenarios myself in DayZ, due to the lack of general content.

Anyone else feel humiliated when killed?

You lost your concentration when you went for the raincoat there. Now you know that dealing with players is top priority :) -
Medical system for DayZ Part 2: Emergency care for other players
Calvin Candie replied to Roshi (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
@ Roshi I love this idea man. It is exactly what is missing to be a full medic out there. Good work. -

Tight resources? C'mon, if the game can't handle a diary or a piece of paper, then we have serious problems. It is a cool idea but the notes would probably get ruined in a gun fight :(

Desync happens to me on a servers with ping over 100. It's really annoying as hell. Like 'N Sync but worse. For example, I wish to assasinate a zombie who has not yet spotted me, with my trusty axe. I also have compass equiped previously. So I run to the zombie, hit my shortcut key to select the axe and space bar to raise the axe. But nothing happens, except I raise my compass. Now, if you were watching me do this from a side, you would probably be thinking: "Why did that guy just ran up to that zombie and showed him his compass by raising it in the zombie's face? Is he asking it for directions? Probably a new player..." It is just dayz desync.

Calvin Candie replied to TMWMarijke's topic in General Discussion
I have been helped by TMW on hardcore server, so thanks again to everyone at TMW and specialy the guy who ran from cherno to fix my broken leg. You rock. -
Yo guys, I dont understand IT stuff much but could you help me. My rig is decent, runs all the new games on highest settings. DayZ though, runs very bad in the cities - FPS drops below 20. Its unplayable. AMD FX 8320 eight core 8gb RAM Radeon R9 280x 4gb win7 64-bit I assume it's normal? Or my rig need new drivers or something?
-
Hello. Today in New Berezino, military zombie killed me with 1 hit. Instantly. And it was his first hit. Is this normal? After that, got my leg broken on the stairs of the abandoned ship. OK, I know the stairs are bugged, what can we do... After thaaat, glitched through the hospital wall. On the 3rd floor. Legs broken again. Please put more splinter wooden things around. So we can fix our broken bones. Those damned things are rarer than anything. And why not put a nice suicide option while you're there :) Btw, respawn is glitched. 280-something seconds unitl respawn. By that time any server stops responding. Then again 60 sec until respawn on a new server. Ciao EDITEd I used to complain about bandits, but then I discovered the wonders of finding gear inland, traveling from town to town. Some of the best moments I had didnt include another player. Which is sad, but anyway. Looking forward to new patches.
