Have snap loaders for the Blaze gone in 0.47?
Calvin Candie replied to therunningmanz's topic in General Discussion
Hey man. I found 4-5 snaploaders in prisons on the 2nd floor in the past few days since 0.47 They're there, keep looking. -
Pick-up would be nice. you could store stuff in the back and mount your tent on the cargo area.

Good story. I would only point out that hero needs to always weigh his actions carefully and be biased towards life not death. You executed a guy laying in the grass with a mosin. Did he fire shots at bambis? Maybe he was scouting the city. He did not respond to you communication. Maybe he was a new player ect.Heroes never execute. They fight and kill bandits. Bandits execute people. Thats how I see it.

Well, people did ask for more zombies

Exactly. -
This story was the trial of how to not shit myself while reading trial. Trial. Trial.

Cant find one either. Will have to ask nice bandit for one.

What is the fps going to be at the end of beta?
Calvin Candie replied to DannyFilming's topic in General Discussion
When we get 60fps in elektro I will be an old man. Too old to play. Too old to care. Probably will move out to a cabin in the woods and stock on canned peaches. Lots of them. Backpacks too. Never know when you need to move. Probably carry that old bolt action rifle I painted green and scare the hikers away. -
What the hell are you rambling on about? Stay on topic please. What I would do in hypothetical situation is irrelevant here.I still support the new movement system, I only hope they will fix the mosing sway back to what it was. Although, I love the challenge and would probably practice until I get most out of the current situation with mosin sniping.

They don't teach you to read with attention in marines or is it just you?First of all, 50 pounds and 50 kg is not the same. But I do not blame you, it's a hard concept for some people. Second, I was refering to the run speed in correlation with firing accuracy and if you have read my post with minimal attention you would have noticed. You are dismissed, "Sir" XD

so when is the move to the new engine?
Calvin Candie replied to bioned's topic in General Discussion
I also want to know this. My "feel" is that the current engine will colapse under the burden of new items, animations and increasing the complexity of the game in general. Sort of like Skyrim colapses if you fiddle around with tons of mods like i did. The clunkyness of the movement and inventory feels like you are constantly adding new carbon fibre doors, rimms and spoilers to your rusty 91' fiat. They are cool additions but doesnt feel as the whole thing progressed, but instead degressed. -
Hey man. I am a Mosin user by religion and I do find it unusable with 0.47 update. Here is my experience from the update yesterday. As has been said, sway makes aiming impossible if you were just sprinting, even crouched. Had couple of firefights. Shooting at a player who is zig zaging away from you at 300-400m is a thing of the past for me now. I had 2 guys in my scope, fired 10 shots, 1 hit. I was proning at level ground and they were running at level ground. I do not suck at sniping at all, even from the Mod days. Until now. Now I suck like a bambi sucks a long end of a bandits...gun. I love bolt action rifles but my mosin will have to wait for better times. Switched to akm. As you said it, it is snapshooting now.

New system is more realistic. Even seasoned professionals in real life cannot run with 50kg backpack and shoot straight at the speed you could before 0.47. Most people dont shoot while moving anyways. Heres a situation I handled today. A bandit shooting at me and my friend from behind the trees. We are on open ground. I run towards him zig zaging and shoot him in chest with 20 or so akm bullets. He strafed me with his akm but i only went unconcious. I think he was supprised as hell that i ran towards him as people always try to run away from the shooter and get cover first. Maybe i was lucky and he was a bad shooter. Maybe not. But my action suprised him and caught him off guard. I do not see the big deal in the new movement system. Except the annoyance of climbing the stairs like a ww2 war veteran with 2 artificial knees.

Well you see, it would be a different kind of shop, where I would have to sell all the merchandise by the end of the day. Like a farmers market. Next day new selection is sold. I cannot wait to display all the clothes on the pavement so you can see what you are buying! I know a good idea when I see one, trust me Relax, there is only a patch coming with mere ragdoll, tents and new civilian sniper. What is there to be excited about :D
-
Yes, some servers would have more stuff lieing around, and some less. But I think there would not be a huge balance shift of items through servers. However, the whole situation would certainly make it easier for me to make my dream come true and open a shop in Berezino for clothing and general merchandise. It would be called "A-Buck-Store", where everything costs a buck. Or your life. If you robb me. :D Up to you hahaha
-
I guess it is a leap of faith then :D I don't know what developers are thinking, what do you think will be the whole deal with loot persistence and tents? +1 :D :D D:
-
That is a great idea. I would like to see more explanation of why the player is behaving like this. Is he/she not handy with guns? Or does not know how to operate one? Is the player alergic to some ingredients in canned food so he/she must hunt animals? Please add some content so the story has more flavor! ;) That would be awesome! If you would find a whole tribe of survivors eating only cows and worshipping rabbits for example! nice
-
I believe that server restart will delete all items droped by players. Loot will respawn periodicaly and tents will be safe haven for items through respawn. Logical?
-
Friendly all the way! But don't assume everyone else are...
-
is there 0,47 changelog yet??? damn...so excited made a double post...sorry hahaha
-
Wait, what is the purposue of the tents then? My gear is better hidden in grass :D :D :D

Who's to say you are really a survivor?
Calvin Candie replied to Chroma's topic in General Discussion
I like how you managed to wrap around your theory around the current state of Dayz. Everything checks out and is explained, even the bugs are a part of the big scheme! Brilliant! -
Today I decided to suprise a few bambis by putting notes in unlooted backpacks promoting the holy pig of chernarus. Got the idea from Shrub Rocketeer tho XD

@bautschiI can understand your reasoning and appreciate it. Still, the proper communication would make a difference for me. An example. "We set the deadline to fix xyz issue for 01.09.2014. Currently we are on track as the progress on that issue has reached the aprox. 50% state and we expect to meet the deadline" If in any case, the deadline cannot be met, I expect a post: "the issue could not be corrected by 01.09.2014. as the x was still not compatible with y due to interferance by z. We are working double time and expect to alighn all three by 10.09.2014." I know it is specific and requires more work from them. But I, and many others, want to know these things on weekly or monthly basis. A simple 10 point bulleting report. That is how project management works. Also, at this state, I know they are not going to meet such demands, as we, the customers do not have power in our hands in this matter. Maybe I just have expectations set too high.

Very interesting take on the apocalypse. You have great imagination. I would love to hear more of this context! -
I used to carry a book with me also, I did it for several lives. It was, as to be, roleplaying this guy who cannot accept the fact he is in a apocalypse, and goes forward to survive searching the old life that doesn't exist anymore and the book keeps him going as a reminder of that life that once was...I died fairly quickly all of the times I had a book with me and immediatelly after not carrying the book, my progression was normal. Now I call it the curse of the book. Might try it again some day.
