What lags less? DayZ Mod or Game?

When you upgrade you should be flying. Only chokepoint I see is the graphic card. Since I am no expert on GeForce cards, can someone pitch in? As far as I understand geforce 540m is around radeon 6700 range.

How many shoots to the face/body does it take to kill a player or a zombie?

In memory of The SKS Man. P.S. now Berezino writes incredible tales of heroes and bandits, as Elektro once did...

What lags less? DayZ Mod or Game?

In your place, I would get the Standalone. Why? It is constantly improving and by the time it is finished, it will be a much better game than the Mod in every aspect.Fps wise, there is NO difference between the MOD and the SA. They can both lag in the cities. They can both run at a nice 60fps away from cities. It is just when they lag, they lag for different reasons. The Mod because of tons of stuff, players and zombies and the SA because it is in not-optimized pre-alpha state. BUT the SA will get optimized to run better as time progresses, and the MOD has probably reached it's peek. Post your laptop's specs and we will tell you how good the game is going to run.

    Does camo matter

Dress a friend. Have him run in front of you - there is a huge difference. Your inventory image is artificialy brighter and 3rd person view is too close. For example. Try wearing a UN helmet at night. That thing GLOWS. Camo is REALLY camo. :)

Whats your favorite location on the map?

My favorite location. Induces certain feelings. Fear. Paranoia. Hearing things that aren't there.

    Ya Know I wuz thinkin

Guys the graphics in dayz pretty much suck. Look at the zombies face, are you kidding me? Rare are the moments when you go wow. Clouds at night are pixelated even on very high. It's not bad, but faaaaaar from the wow factor. Still love this game. :)

    Does camo matter

Camo makes you harder to see. Much harder. Take a screeshot of yourself in camo and in regural clothes, in nature setting. Thats why it is called camo

Even medics get no chance :|

Hey man. I am a medic too. Although the new red and blue medic suits are cool, I don't wear them. My outfit so far was blue backpack and UN helmet, but the UN helmet is like a beacon, especially at night.Unfortunately, as someone said, there is no need for medic right now in terms that somebody will run to you and ask for help. I just carry my standard medical supplies but go about in camo gear. My medical practice has come down to fixing my buddies after a firefight with epinephrine, morphine and saline bags. Strangers won't even let you close in 99% of the cases to be able to help them, so be very carefull, hide, and most important, alow yourself a decent amount of time to communicate your message through the mic. Saying "friendly, medic" does not work here. You gotta elaborate your mission and convince people they will be safe. My tactic is to first make them lower their weapon, even if I have to hold them at gun point. I was running around without a gun in my hand (that was my policy, to show I am friendly) until recently, but that got me nowhere. After they lower the weapon, I immediately throw some food on the floor and that often works and makes them more friendly, I guess sharing food is a natural sign of good will. Just keep trying man, do not give up. You will be shoot, punched and chased by people you helped but thats the life of a medic. ;)

    Map balance

Yesterday made a trip from balota to elektro and back on a full 40 man server. Did not see anyone. Day before the same thing. Day before that saw 2 dudes in elektro. Lit a fire on the balota airfield, noone cared. I know they are experimenting with spawn places and as a result, coast is empty. But how will it work in the final release if spawn places will be all over the map? Chances of meeting another player randomly will be very slim. Maybe if they implement 100 people servers, but far as I know thats sci-fi currently. It would be cool if people spawned in hospitals of major cities. Like Rick in Walking Dead.

    The DayZ endgame

To the OP: My answer to your question is that the goal of the game should be to survive as long as possible. Remember that counter on the web page of dayz mod when it first came out? The counter that stated average life time of a player. That was so cool. Simple, catching idea, excellent motivation to play - can I survive longer?? If there would be something that makes you adapt and change your playstyle often, it would bring back that feeling of certain death waiting and fighting for you life with every new step. Wether it is randomizing the loot locations or making zombies a threat, I don't know. If they manage to give us that feeling of being helpless and alone, urging to see another person then not being sure is he frendly or not...I'd pay hell of a lot more than 23€ to play that game!

    Map balance

In my eyes the problem is what I mentioned several times in other threads - patterns. Looting patterns, moving patterns, know hotspots. If there would be some kind of randomness about looting and gearing up, people would be all over the place. Maybe bases help with that as they would become mobile points of interest redirecting players away from standard places - cities, mil. bases.

    Beacons in the night..

Are players really that cautios? When I hear gunfire or see lights I usually go in that direction. Of course I scout the area and take my time, but hell, theres no hesitation to investigate. Never did I pass that oportunity. Honesty, best time I have are on night servers, tracking down other players. I pick up on their looting pattern and follow it. It is so exciting following the clues, dodging zombies, scouting the area with your binocs or scope and finnaly finding that guy. Is he alone or has he buddies protecting him from a snipers nest? Is he friendly or bandit? What will happen if he sees me? Can I stay unseen and keep following him? I do it with a friend and I can tell you, longer you lay proned in the grass looking down on a player or even an empty area, more paranoind you get! It's a blast.
