Hello all! I'm still relatively new to this game. I own both the DayZ MOD and Stand-alone. Running around solo can be quite boring after a while in both versions. I make this forum post in hopes to find a survival companion. None of my friends own it so I'm riding solo. In the Stand-alone, I know how to do everything but use the IV/Blood bags, and in the MOD, I don't know how to build things, buy/sell things, or repair vehicles. I would be willing to learn if you could throw me some DayZ knowledge my way. You don't need to be experienced. I just need a teammate. So if you're looking for a teammate to play with and/or minimally show the ropes please feel free to add me on steam so we can start fragging zombies and bandits! cac_headbusta_

I had all my slots filled up. guns, ammo, food. I re-logged into the game and I started at zero. This happened to me before and I switched servers and it worked. Why is this happening?

Im sure we've all accidentally fallen off some stairs, or a ledge that is just a tad too high. You're stuck in the prone position and sometimes the nearest tall structure with a ladder isn't in a crawlable distance. Is there a way to kill yourself so you dont need to wait for a zombie to hopefully kill you, die by starvation, or screaming in your mic as a last ditch effort to grab the attention of another player so he can kill you to end this state of limbo that youre in? I googled how to cure a broken leg and it said something about splints and morphine; but say you lack those items. Is your character forced to either find a way to commit suicide or just wait it out?

I died, spawned, and hit every house that I saw. Big cities, small cities, random outlets from literally the south to the north. Only one single house had food and i starved to death by the time I reached an airstrip. There wasn't a shortage of motorcycle helmets, pants, beanies, and rotten fruit though. Im all for resource gathering being challenging, but its a bit rediculous that after probably an hour (what seemed like 5) of non-stop running, hitting easily over 100 buildings of all kinds, you only find can of spaghetti. Damn, too bad the only weapon I came across was a baseball bat. I could have prolonged by starvation by a few minutes. Off topic but not so much...Do sodas help with hunger? I know when i drink a lot of soda, I get full. I tried drinking the sodas that I found thinking that it couldnt hurt, but it did not make a noticable differnce. Point of my post: Is there a location in DayZ where food is abundant? Are differnent Items found more frequently in one part of the map than the other?
