at this time yes you can just log out and the zombies would be gone until they newly spawn when you log back in.

Date/Time: 6/17/2012 12:00 pm -6.00 gmt i think What happened: I spawn in the wilderness with nothing everything is empty no backpack, nothing in my inventory, no gun, you get the point haha. Where you were: north of prigodorsk (however the english name is spelled) in the woods What you were doing: observing passing survivors/helping if needed and or collecting loot as i passed by. but i think at the time of logging off i was lying prone facing the barn in the woods preparing to take a break for food outside of the game. *Current installed version: latest beta patches AO 1.60.93825 Dayz 1.7.1 Just updated from previous day. used six launcher to do the update for dayz trying to join normal server i have played on for a week. *Server(s) you were on: US75 was the original server i logged off on, however i could not rejoin it for getting stuck at loading screen and or getting battleye restriction #16. So for testing purposes only i tried to join other servers same problem finally joined us90 to be spawned as stated above. *Your system specs: Sadly an Imac running windows 7 (i have all kinds of problems like this lol) intel I5-2500s 2.7ghz 4gigs of ram amd radeon hd 6700m series netxtreme gigabit ethernet so yes i can for see having problems using apple bootcamp haha *Timeline of events before/after error: I had been stalking a few people on us75 in prigo for a couple hours tis all good fun. moving from spot to spot inside the barns or up in the northern woods with my friend doing the same killed a few bandits died once had to respawn and then made my way back to prigo on v1.7.0 dayz where i got some stuff on the way back and continued to do the same as above when my friend logged off and i continued to play for an hour or so before i would lie prone and also choose to log off until the next day. when the update had occured over night leading up to the problems stated above. I really don't care that i lost everything i just hope i am not bothering anybody and hope this helps fix some problems but i will continue to test things and not re spawn until i have rejoined my original server. then if above is still true i will re-spawn and see if i continue to spawn in the wilderness with nothing or just spawn with starting flashlight or not. i have had this problem a lot with spawning in the wilderness west of zelengnorsk every time i have had different equipment and every time an update has come out. but it has also occurred between updates as well i have never spawned in the ocean just in the wilderness though. thank you for your time and efforts i hope this is helpful. if any other information is needed i will do my best to supply it thank you.

This sounds promising as an update and on another note if being able to hide from infected is possible i wouldn't mind you going through with the starting with no gun fix as well makes for a more interesting learning curve plus a lot more in my opinion. thanks for the hard work
