It'll never be hacker free, but hopefully the steps being made will improve things, although the ARMA:TOH code is still ARMA 2, and since DayZ made ARMA popular the hackers see it as a perfect little playground. Add in how resourceful some hackers are, and the fact that the community has shown signs of knowing the code better than the Devs (all the fixes provided on Private hives that it seems Rocket couldn't do for example), I think at first its not going to be to tight, but if Rocket continues the Private hive model and works closely with the community in the early days of Standalone alpha things should improve. Even Rocket says atm, the way to play the mod is on private hives, public hive is fucked. I can see standalone going the same way, mainly because the Privates have proved themselves more secure already.

Well, TBH i'd thank them head different ways, then double back to check they aren't tailing me, then if i feel like being a bastard i'll trail them for a while to see if they give away one of their camps or vehicle hoards. I usually don't kill them though, well if they are on their own. I'll wait for them to do what they were doing, get up and leave then i'll have a look in their tents or nick a vehicle. If theres a group i can take sometimes i'll have a pop for a laugh. Had some great moments trailing guys though, they love it when 50 mins after they saved your ass you appear and patch them up! Most awkward moment was saving a guy whos camp i'd raided earlier. He was very grateful until i offered him a lift in his own pickup! :P

Well it suggests that they and the group that are the trading arm of aren't legit. Having lots of gear due to organised looting? Awesome. Having lots of gear due to loot cycling? Dubious, but currently a grey area. Having lots of spare gear due to tent bugs? In the mods current state, Accepted. Having lots of gear due to duping? Get the fuck out of town. Having ANY gear that you can't obtain in Mod without hacks? I don't really need to answer this do i? Report and ban. We don't need anyone using gear that requires scripting in.
