[/quote'] It just seems to be the new thing to post a RAWR thread about thats all, hence i mentioned the corner of the forum that contains the search function. :P But on topic, even though i'd said it in about 3 of these threads already is: Don't remove Barbed wire, tweak it. Toolboxs should be needed to place them. Toolboxs should alsobe needed to remove quietly IMO, but make it take a little time to do, and make the hitbox to remove it a lot bigger. Also give people the option to smash them down with axes/crowbars, but make it take some time and create noise.

    Suggestion for cutting down on bandits

    Fuck some of you people have a properly fucked up view on some parts of the world and society. So if someone had a bad upbringing they've been raised to be a murder? I have friends from some pretty fucked up places in the world are they are totally lovely people. Its whitey next door thats used to his pleasures that fucking scares me.

    An-2 Colt (Large Biplane)

    Nah you have to wear it instead of your backpack. That way you'll have to pick what your taking with you more carefully. Make crews have to think about extraction as well. Damn maybe even make a chute for your back so your pilot can drop in support too. Even if the devs implement that tother guys chestpack idea.. All round balance for the well prepared group.

    Remove Barbedwire

    Tweak it don't remove it. Despawn on death is a fantastically stupid idea as well. 'My Grandad built the fences on the top field but all the cattle escaped when he died because the fences despawned.' Constructions DO have longevity. Tweak them so they are easier to target with a toolbox, make them take time to dismantle, make them take damage from cars & axes/crowbars, but make the axes/crowbars take even longer to break them down and noisy too. But please stop asking for things to be removed from the mod. You lost your guns because of people crying. You trying to throw away more content here. Pretty soon the only sand in the box will be on the beach.

    hey im a hipster and im damn proud of it so shove it up ur a*s lol Yeah to be fair its the entire 'us & them' mentality thats the problem. Swineflew, your guilty of that yourself right there. Its all "Group Carebear/Bandit/CoDkid/ArmaPro/PK/whatever are ruining my gaming experience, therefore they are the problem. All people that share that opinion can f off/Get banned." Err. NO. 1) its not a game, its an alpha test mod. Yes your meant to have fun, but honestly testing is the priority, your gaming experience, second. 2) All your doing if giving yourselves excuses to be dicks to what you view as 'opposing' groups. On forum and in game. 3) Because of 2), the game is a cunthive, and the forums are too. This is whats holding development back. Honestly, the majority of the threads attempting discussion on here gets swamped out by 'YOU A PRICK LEARNZ 2 GAME ARGGHH' bullshit. People need to real their fucking necks in,stop pointing fingers and act like fucking adults.
  7. Seen a fair bit of rage at the barbed wire the past few days, people getting annoyed at server hoppers wiring off spawn points/sniper locations. I suggest if they like those places that much, lets make them stay there. We can use this tactic ourselves. What i propose, is this: Lets use our own barbed wire, and block the fuckers IN these buildings, ON EVERY SERVER. That way they can hop as much as they want, they'll always be a building they are blocked into. that way they have 3 options: A) stay in their sniper spot that everyone knows abut and avoids hoping that some ammo they can use spawns B) a restart or C) ending it off the roof. Bit of imagination guys, we can police and imprison these player killers ourselves.

    Fix idea for server hopping

    Man. There is about 27845876259625987 threads saying exactly the same thing. About 5 a day, for the past month. so 2 points. 1) Its been discussed to death. This isn't considered a good idea to fix it. 2) SEARCH FUNCTION.
  10. Well thats my point' date=' it does have other uses, just people aren't thinking of them. And you are 100% right that server hopping etc is the number one hot issue thats holding the potential back. It stops development on tools to build by making the whole exercise futile. Infinite resources makes the whole 'survival aspect' null and void. It turns any life threatening encounter null and void. The whole single character over multiple servers idea is attractive, but is also a massive deadend. [hr'] Touche. Fair shout, i'll give you that. :blush: How awesome a youtube vid would that be though? One man locking down every camper in DayZ?
  11. An evolved member of the community right here. Agreed that is the fundamental problem, for almost everything most people see as a fault with the mod in fact.
  12. Well if your going to try it on your own, well done, see your next spawn on the beach yeah? Its more of an appeal to the imaginative and organised groups to USE THE SANDBOX themselves instead of begging for more content to be removed. You'd need to hit several servers at once, with teams. 1 or 2 wire layers. 2 or 3 snipers suppressing the mark. and another team or two in street watching the wirelayers backs. Would be awesome. but hey maybe its just easier to mindlessly kill each other in a mod were everythings been removed because the player base seems to views the tools they have the same way a monkey would look at a laptop. Is it something you can use or just another place to shit? Your choice monkey people.

    Again you miss the point. Your idea is flawed, because you just made murdering 'friendlies' more rewarding. Put it this way. 'Bandit' A can't find good loot, he sees Survivor B and sees he has a nice gun as a reward from being nice. B is a lot more attractive to a than he was before. A's game hasn't changed. B crys more. Nothings changed apart from 'Banditry' is more rewarding.

    I'm not sure I follow... Making good guns only available to survivors makes killing them more attractive. I can still kill you with a fucking axe or a makarov.
