Ah bless. Your massive E-peen makes up for your lack of genitals.

Really? Things still improving around here then. /facepalm.

The games needs a lot more depth. The mod is, at its core, ignoring the hackers, bugs etc, actually quite dull. Huge fixes need to be done in every area. Zeds: In every way. Spawn system: Needs rebuilding. Netcode: Total rebuild. etc etc. Add in that the PvP isn't action packed enough to even make it a good PvP game, Construction ideas that sounds out of step with the mods original ethos (instanced bunkers are instant 'safe zones' lets be fair) and well, they isn't much more to say because there isn't enough content to criticize. Think about it, I we hadn't had 6+ weeks of uber-hacker drama what would you have actually been doing in game? Building endless tent gardens?

Questions about Servers in DayZ standalone
Never replied to Nergalwaja's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
its going to be running on its own core code so hopefully it'll be a totally fresh start. Mind you Rocket did have a port of pre Hackz Dayz running on the ARMA 3 engine (apparently) so who knows? Maybe he can port all the current data across. If he does hes a fucking idiot though. -
Thats a very long wall of text to simply say your a fanboi and rather condescending.
-
Haven;t read the interviews then? You know all the bits about DayZ standalone being built around ARMA 1.67 etc. Its NOT being built from the inside out.
-
Well do you want: A ) A broken hackfest of a mod that may be a gaping hole into your computer (see GUID thefts etc) with an aggressive mentally retarded player community and diminishing support, OR: B ) A hopefully less broken standalone ALPHA (big cos this forum loves that word) with slightly less hackers but DOGS in it?
-
Thats 'help' is it?
-
And the Devs.
-
So the rushed standalone alpha based on the same code will be problem free you reckon? Cool, I'm just off down to the floating marshmallow party mall on my freaking purple glowing gay unicorn, want me to get you a fresh tub of Fantasy?
-
Don't worry, i'm sure Rocket will post something on Twitter again while ignoring these forums.
-
Well, its a case of barely working niche mod getting insane attention that exposes how badly made it is. Then the mod maker rushing a 'standalone' out before the player base realises he hasn't got a fucking clue what hes doing. Either that or a very cunning marketing ploy for a zombie game based on ARMA with very little content.
-
It was annoying. Then it was funny. Now its just quite sad. I have no idea how Rocket can keep a straight face when doing press for this piece of shit.

Hackerfree Server (Privat Hive)
Never replied to LoG Steppenwolf's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Well good luck with DayZ standalone too. 99% of 'The Hive' is donated servers. -
How the fuck can a zombie hear you chew from 200 metres away?

How not to joke when playing DayZ
Never replied to puppetworx's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Annnnnnnnnnd the moral of the story is: PEOPLE ARE CUNTS. -
Oh lets all rag on him because he was a bastard at one point huh? Or maybe we could congratulate him on wanting to improve his behaviour and be a 'friendly' instead of a bandit? Oh.. But we can't because of THIS SHITTY SKIN SYSTEM. Hes trapped in a perpetual loop of being a bandit, cos the humanity system is a fucking joke. People don't even realise how much gameplay these skins completely remove, because they'd rather a simple 'shoot the baddies' system. Theres goes 80*% of all the in game tension.

Has anyone seen a hatchet like this before?

"No I've never seen a hatchet like you before" Nice to see the vital game breaking issues being focused on again. /Go Team. -
Private/Public HIVES, Playing/Testing and Your Clan
Never replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This tester/player base has always been more focused on their themselves rather than the mod i fear. Mainly because it seems a lot of people joined with 'awesome zombie pvp game' in mind when the mindset should be 'interesting but broken test mod'. The Dev team hasn't helped the situation either by not carrying out standard Alpha stuff like resets on major patches etc. I think it may have got to the point where the testerplayers that understood the process have been a little shocked by the amateur way Rockets progressed his mod. These are the people with the knowhow, but seeming the test process has become stagnant, they have thought 'fuck it' and made the changes that don't seem to be coming. Now that would suck, but we are in an odd position atm with DayZmod. The way i see it, Rocket hasn't given us anything worth testing for a while. And the stuff he has added has been broken, but then not fixed. Simply put, i think the players with a testers mentality have had enough of vital issues being ignored while the head dev fantasies about adding K-9 units onto a buggy engine that most likely will have issues about it. Add in the fantasy excuse of 'oh we can't fix that til standalone' and basically we've had enough. Some of the 'unfixable' issues have been sorted by the community on these private servers. We've hit a split. The 'hardcore' want a mil-sim based zombie game. Rocket wants a multi-platform moneymaker. (it seems. quite possibly not the case, but all the talk of consoledayz and poorly thought through final content is seemingly alienating the first group.) The more 'Casual' gamer just wants a stable game, they don't really care who provides it. -
you got touched by a friendly(ish) HACKZ0R.

Surely underground structures are a mistake.
Never replied to scaramoosh's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
For a mod/game that started with survival/realism roots the idea of constructing underground bases is absurd. Foxholes and trenches, maybe. Bunkers,no way. The time and resources it would take to build something substantial would be insane, not to mention the noise and attention it would create. IF it makes it the standalone it should be in the open-world and VERY dangerous to attempt construction. 'Instanced' bases would just be shit. Can't even be fucked to explain why, they just would be SHIT. DayZ is turning into FPS minecraft. -
Rocket, don't charge money for the maps please
Never replied to DieBrotmafia's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Reading that interview, and other recent press, The DayZ Standalone alpha is going to be a mess. Rocket is really coming across like he doesn't know what hes doing. -
It doesn't. You've got the morph the wrong way round. He starts as a new spawn survivor plays to a while, and when the skin change happens its resetting the backpack. Does that backpack glitch happen to heroes when they change too?
