Well, I wouldn't use a shopping cart for this, but I think shopping carts or wheelbarrows would be useful for pushing supplies around. Sorta like those guys that you see walking along the side of the highway.

I'm just going to point out the example of hurricane Katrina. People were shooting each other out in the flooded streets of New Orleans over flat screen TVs that they were looting and couldn't even use. Cops joined in. To "restore order" military contractors (or mercenaries if you prefer) from Blackwater rolled in without permission from the government. These guys were outfitted with assault rifles and full kevlar armor, and told people that they had the right to kill in order to uphold the law. In times of chaos, most people don't rise to the challenge, most will panic and do whatever they can to benefit themselves. Ever read Lord of the Flies?

Definitely not my favorite, because I've either starved, been torn apart by the zombies that "aren't a real threat" or shot by a sniper that I can't even see. -

When I'm new and finally find that melee weapon so I can kill some zombies and grab some tuna, it's really gratifying when whatever loot you find is better than what you've got. -

I don't know if they'd have to be faster necessarily, I think that in the kind of number I think about when we say "horde" (let's say; 27-500,000) that they'd be tough enough as they are. This is the way I want the zombies to be, no headshot only and no superhuman sprint, just add enough of them that I'll wet my pants when I see them coming.

The zombies are infected humans, not some sort of voodoo; and can be killed like normal humans. Second, it's already been said that the player is immune to the infection. I do agree with your first point and that bit about clothing, but forget this headshot only stuff. Later on in development I'm sure we'll finally see some real hordes; which will be more than enough to deal with.

I know my brother got onto my account and completely screwed me over and had a good laugh about it; but for most people this isn't an acceptable reason to allow multiple characters; just a good reason for a restraining order.

Well, take a look at some photos from the protests in Ukraine; plenty of people there seem to have dug military helmets out of their closets; so I figure that the former Soviet Republic of Chernarus would also have a lot of these.

Good of you to try, but these places are always going to be kill zones, plain and simple. -
It's set in the modern era, if that's your question. I've heard that its set a month or two after the outbreak began and the cities were overrun; right now all the windows are broken because you can't break glass.

People will go down to their coast to collect their next meal. There was no good reason to kill a fresh spawn before; but if you add cannibalism, fresh spawns become fresh meat.

There's alot of people talking about this sort of thing; I would like to see more ability to communicate and organize with players in-game. My new mission is to create a safe-zone that I can be emperor of. Just one city or village that I could rule over, all the residents would have free WiFi and all the tuna they can stomach. This radio tower could help me stay in contact with my people, and giver daily propaganda broadcasts.

This is just the beginning, once we clear out those nasty zombies, and take care of the bandits; we can rebuild society- IN GAME! We can get boring, routine jobs, eat the same food over and over, and live in a dirty, not-quite-second-world country with intermittent power failures. We could secure the cities, and then have roving death squads to take care of the zombies and snipers. And then I will be EMPEROR OF CHERNOGORSK! And I can tell you all about it on the IN-GAME FORUMS! In all seriousness I think this is a cool idea, but I doubt that the devs will go for it, and you'd never get enough people working together to even fix one computer; let alone rebuild the internet.

I read somewhere that they were going to make diet more important, so you'll get sick and die if you try to live off of cereal and soda alone; this could be something like that. Your character should have been watching his blood pressure a little better; tell me, would he have any reason to be under stress? -
It could happen in real life, prove to me that karma isn't real. B)

Yeah, I always have a Swiss army knife or multitool on me, I don't think it'd be ridiculous to spawn with; they wouldn't really be much in the way of weapons, more useful for crafting objects or opening cans (or winebottles with that handy corkscrew!)
