Zombies wont die until hit/shot the the head
Pvt_Larry (DayZ) replied to petersvk's topic in Suggestions
I wonder how many times I'm going to have to see this "new suggestion"? Imagine I bothered to type what that other guy said about the infected people not living dead. -
No safety, I like trading the way it is now. If your scared of being cheated find a friend with a gun to back you up, but no safe-zones or trade windows.
-
With all sorts of armed factions running amok, it would be safer not to let it fall into potentially hostile hands.
-
I've got one of these for backpacking. This would be great to have in a survival situation! Just don't put any of that kool-aid powder in there, you can never get that "watered-down kool-aid" taste out. EDIT: Think the same goes for blood too...
-
I don't think you should build tolerance like OP suggests; just develop a crippling addiction. But I think that's just too "Fallout" for this game.

<Slow Clap> I am alpha testing the ability to run around a forest!

Starvation is the only thing I haven't actually died from in this game. Just stick to servers that aren't completely full. -
It's definitely not something I would have thought of...cool suggestion!

Global objectives that would give a purpose in surviving
Pvt_Larry (DayZ) replied to VonHabdekeiten's topic in Suggestions
I've heard that the plan is that zombies will respawn in the treeline and then walk into the towns in future updates, instead of just spawning inside of the towns. -
I do agree, that foothills area needs more work; right now it's an area that you run through and hope to hit a village so you don't starve; since that area seems to be forest/farmland maybe it could be given more of a farm country feeling? Larger farms, with more barns, silos and such.

Well, you can already try to clear and secure a city in the game- here's wy it won't work either way; because right now people are hard-headed and bloodthirsty, and would rather go around banditing than work together for a common goal. -
Are you addicted to this game?
Pvt_Larry (DayZ) replied to crazyandlazy's topic in General Discussion
I get scared, a few hours and I'm more stressed out than when I started playing. This one really gets inside your head. I play often, but sometimes I just have to get up, walk away, and take a break. -
Yeah, tough without names, but it would be nice if we could have a vigilante crew on the forums as well as a medic crew.
-
Yep; I'd also suggest that it muffle voices, but it can be pretty tough to understand people already.
-
So you call the other guy's idea unrealistic? XD I think I can say with reasonable confidence that virus labs will never be implemented in this game. It's too much work for a feature that most players wouldn't use/appreciate. The argument against helicopters is already "Most people don't know how to pilot a helicopter." Do you think that many people know how to genetically modify a virus?

Such an utterly terrifying idea that I don't know whether to love it or hate it... by the way, are the zombies actually smart enough to lay an ambush?

An Anthropological Study Of Dayz
Pvt_Larry (DayZ) replied to KarmaCoin's topic in General Discussion
I refuse to be that murderous psychopath. I still try to help people (I just watch from the bushes for a little while first) at the same time, I try not to get too upset when I see people kill for no reason, because trying to talk to anyone is still pretty dicey. -
I support this idea. But now the sound is going to scare me every time I enter a building.

Loot spawning idea - an idea that makes everyone happy.
Pvt_Larry (DayZ) replied to TEST_SUBJECT_83's topic in Suggestions
It's got to make some sense, random houses shouldn't be filled with automatic weapons, and military bases should have more than rotten fruit. Gotta figure out how to balance this out. -
new item: 4 color camouflage facepaint

I like anything that can make me look like a crazy person in game. I'm on board. -
My team calls pink. Back off everybody.
-
Don't see why it shouldn't be in game. Also with some of the talk I've heard about baiting zeds and such I think that you ought to be able to drag corpses around as well.

Parkour would be great if I didn't care about breaking my legs. Maybe if I bring some morphine along though...

This is how most portable stove kits are designed, it could work like the first aid pack sort of. Feasible?

Abandoned Nuclear Power Plant and a Golf Course.
Pvt_Larry (DayZ) replied to nvrsbr's topic in Suggestions
First golf course was built in russia when President Eisenhower planned a visit there in the late 50's. -
First: I thought the spawn region was from just east of Elektro up to Solnichniy and Berezino? Second: No, we don't need a larger spawn region, if I;m trying to meet up with my friends and we spawn at the same time at least I know that they're on the eastern coast, not in the south/west. It still is tough to meet up with people, and I'd prefer if it doesn't get any more difficult.
