Wow, I thought reports were supposed to be anonymous? Its probably not a good idea to "out" people on forums when they make reports. It makes them not want to report anything in the future. :huh: But anyway, referring to us as "like pets" or calling us narcissistic bitches" sounds kinda belittling to me. And I would think the same way if it was about any other group of people on the planet. I have a sense of humor, that just didn't seem like it was meant to be humor to me. I also don't feel the need to belittle groups of people whether its a joke or a serious comment. Honestly, if someone came on here and made a similar comment about race dop you think it would be taken a bit more seriously? I certainly do. If someone said something like "Well all black (or any other race) are.... yada yada yada... insert whatever racial stereotype here...."I think most people would take it a bit more seriously even if the person said it was a joke. Oh and I would have reported something like that too, just to make it clear. I have a friend in my clan who says similar things about guys and I don't agree with that either. I have never felt the need to be one of those people who thinks its funny to put groups of people down. Oh and I'm happy that you got a laugh from my post about having an issue with the guy who complained about being banned for suggesting that it would add "tons of fun" to the game if it had rape in it.... Yeah, that's hilarious.

Well, one thing I have learned is that most people you think could be doing it in a game probably aren't actually cheating. The number of real hackers on most games is usually pretty small but the number of players that get accused of hacking is like 60% of a community. :lol: I have been accused of it myself on a couple of games which is pretty awesome if you ask me. :D

Yeah, there really isn't a big difference between any of them anymore. Its just personal preference. lol Yeah, our Vent is like that when we do public events until our leader threatens to kick people if they don't stop talking.

I have never noticed any problems with Vent. We have had our own server for a couple years now and use it for our clan, running public events in games and other stuff. Its pretty awesome. Have you used it recently? I actually did have trouble with Mumble myself at first but it works well now.

:lol: Like others said, its a VOIP program that allow you to talk to other people in your clan (if you have one) or friends. Personally, my two clans use Ventrillo and Mumble which I think are better programs than TeamSpeak.

Gee with comments like this its really hard to believe there aren't more of us on this game......

How does the in-game chat work? Is it like planetside 2 with separate channels for like group chat, local chat (immediate area around you) and things like that? Neither of my clans will be playing this game and I will most likely just be playing with my boyfriend and possibly another friend so we will stick with the in-game voice chat. No point in starting a new Ventrillo channel just for this unless we eventually decide to create our own Dayz clan. :D

I won't have the game installed until tomorrow night so I'm not sure yet. But I do know that I generally love two weapons in most FPS games..... Sniper rifles and shotguns. :thumbsup: I'm usually a pretty deadly sniper. :D

Okay, I'm not familiar with the Dayz terms yet. Is a bambi like a blueberry (noob) or is it someone who just hasn't found any weapons yet?

lol Yeah, it was one of the most depressing endings in any movie I have seen but that is what makes it so good. :P Instead of the usual cookie-cutter happy ending, they did something that has an impact on the viewer. Not many movies leave you feeling really bad for the main character. Anyway, I think if you actually put people in a situation like Dayz they would definitely act the same way or worse than they do in game. I have no doubt people would be slaughtering each other over a can of beans. :o

That is a great speech and I personally agree with all of it, especially about greed poisoning humanity. The problem is that I am not sure I agree with the idea that all (or even most) humans think that way. That we are all basically good and want to help each other. I see too much that shows the opposite every day. People are capable of overcoming those things and becoming like that but most people are also capable of some pretty awful things. That could be your first and last mistake! I'll never lower my weapon in this game because you never know who may be a follower of Moe Szyslak. Szyslakians are taught to lure their potential victim into a false sense of security and then BAM!! The old fork in the eye! Or in this case, an axe to the cranium but you get the general idea. :o

Its that way on every game. Different people handle it their own way. I know one of the best players (not just among female gamers) in FPS games and she generally beats them horribly and mocks them until they rage. I have my own way of making them rage but I just say and do extremely weird and random things until they are left scratching their heads in confusion. I learned that back on Xbox Live. It is surprisingly effective. :o
