Do you guys have a map you recommend? I like the DayZDB map for the way I can scroll around it, and at least get an idea of where I am/spawns (i thought). Is it really bad off from realistic spawns, or just a few here and there?

I think it adds to the immersion of the game... Seems more authentic. You have no idea where the hell you are, starving thirsty and cold, surrounded by zombies and hostile players. Sounds fun!

I can also say I've never found anything at a gas station. on the DayZDB map, they are marked as low level loot spawns, but I can't recall a single piece of gear at a gas station.

Blade, I'll give you an honest, straightup response. Hell yes, brother. The game isn't perfect, and there is a lot of stuff that was in the mod that isn't here yet... hunting, cooking, etc. but there is so much fun to be had! I can't explain why or how, but somehow this version makes encounters with other players absolutely 10 times more tense. Everyone is really uneasy, and everyone is just trying to survive. You have those that have reached the point of prosperity, and thrive on hunting and killing players, and then you have those that are just out and about for a good time, and will help you out when you run across them. It's been one of the coolest, most indepth gaming experiences I have had for a very, very long time. Not to mention the simple addition of handcuffs has made being held up, robbed and handcuffed, sometimes forced to do things like drink alcohol tincture, which gives you chemical poisoning... its so much fun!

Most Bambis dont care if they live or die, so why not take a chance and attempt to knock a geared player unconscious? I do not share that mindset, and when I see people I usually run even though I'm fairly well geared. I don't even try to interact... I just run. If cornered, I will attempt to kill.
