  1. It gives the players the ability to take 10-20 minutes gathering materials to retrieve a weapon rather than looking for guns. However I wish it would shoot a bit more towards the center crosshair. Inaccurate groupings are fine but as of now it shoots way too far to the left and doesn't make sense..it's poor range should be balanced with atleast shooting +-1 feet from the center, rather than +-1 from the left.

    Have not noticed this myself on US434. I've had 2 hunting knives and 2 matches in my slots and have used all 5 matches/knife usages without disappearance. Maybe I just got lucky but it hasn't disappeared for me yet.

    The only problem with this was that the player could barely melee a single zombie without getting hit. What is the player melee range(m)?

    Random body sway?

    I'll be sitting crouched or moving and in first person there will be a random body sway that lasts for 5-10 seconds where you can't aim down sights, or straight for that matter. I have full blood/water/food no diseases/infections, also tried painkillers. Not sure if it's a bug or what? Happens the most when not moving.

    If there is something you must change for next patch, increase the nutritional value of soda cans on par with food cans. I find myself being able to strictly survive off food cans and barely survive on sodas..which has me basically chasing water 24/7.

    Just lasted 20 days in wilderness my last dayz life. Died tonight at the unmarked airfield southwest of NWAF, by a bandit in camo clothing. He trapped me inside a hangar. Said friendly 3 times and was gunned down instantly. Had a ghillie m40/m249saw rangefinder, built a camp and everything. Guess I wanted to protect my humanity more. Best dayz life ever. Died with 3 hunting knives and 3 matchboxes on me :D

    This is actually why I'm starting to enjoy the humanity regen system. Really makes me think before pulling the trigger aside from the harder survival mechanics. I'm finding it more beneficial to avoid combat altogether to get my humanity near the 0 range and only save losses for self defense kills only if i'm to stay survivor skin. I think my days as a blood bandit are over. Once I'm over -10k I have a compulsion to kill everyone :s

    Nice post bullet, but I think atleast +50 or +100 humanity for killing bandits would be fair. They could always cap it out at any value they wanted. There is just no incentive at all to kill bandits, even for a small reward.

    I think this has been mentioned before but I don't think it has been mentioned using leet coding skills. So I'm playing dayz at -1,500 humanity, and trying very very hard to not become a bandit. Then some survivor clown starts shooting me on sight, hits me a couple times. I make a run for it, but he gets too close to one of my stashes so I take him out. Now I'm at -3500 humanity and back into a bandit skin, yay. It's at this point where it would be nice if zombies gave a humanity increase, say like, 3-5 humanity per killed zombie so unwanted bandit skins can atleast have a chance to regain some humanity. The tricky part is preventing the values going past 2000 so survivors can use it as easy mode to gain hero status. I know the humanity system is being reworked or removed or whatever, but as a placeholder would it ever be possible to be like if(humanity >= 2000) { zed_humanity = 0 } It would ultimately be bad ass, if this was implemented. This would make self defense POSSIBLE! Please post all of your hatred or warm love below :)

    The other day I had -1600 humanity and I killed a guy, then had -2600..played for like 20 minutes, then logged off. Next day I log in with -1600 again, so bugs are possible. Regarding bandits, never in dayz vanilla history have you ever got humanity for killing bandits. Killed two yesterday and didn't receive anything as I was checking constantly for the next hour or two. Nothing.

    Pff nah man bandit skins get the bullet. :) I used to have -1.5 million humanity and got raped constantly, revenge is all mine this time!

    Do fishing poles only spawn in canoes? Separate topic here: What's killing me right now are the 5 uses with matches and hunting knives. I wish it could be bumped up to 10. I know you can hold a 5 pack and 4 pack but damn they're hard to find sometimes.

    I think if the victim gets shot and shoots or kills the aggressor, they still lose humanity but less. When I shot him the first time after he shot me I lost 100 humanity but I didn't kill him. Probably would've lost more if I had though but not as much as an aggressive kill.

    You don't gain any humanity for killing bandits. When you're in negative humanity, there is an auto humanity regeneration system in place that stops at 0. It regenerates slow. As for the alice pack, I'm curious as well. I know the British Assault pack is still there as I've gotten it, however I haven't seen the alice or survival acu packs at all. L85's only spawn at heli crashes I think.

    I can see your point, but if you were to keep killing on sight it would add up pretty quick unless you enjoy farming zombie kills so you would still be working for humanity. To be honest I forgot there was an auto humanity gain in place anyways, but it goes up really slow. By the time I'd gain 1000 humanity I'd probably already run into another kos'er to defend myself from. I guess it's better than nothing. Also vanilla is much harder than epoch, so comparing them is pretty moot. Killing zeds in vanilla will use a lot of ammo and draw a lot of attention, or be dangerous consistently meleeing them whereas in epoch there's crazy amounts of ammo and food etc.

    Umm, no. Killing a survivor usually results in -1,000 to -1,500 humanity loss which means if the bandit kill even 5 players, that's a shit load of zombies he has to kill to get back to survivor. Bandits that have -150k, or -1 million humanity have no chance. They are blood bandits. I'm talking about in favor of survivors that happen to kill out of self defense that drop into the small negative range, and there being a chance for come back besides blood bagging. I only mentioned a 2000 humanity cap because there was a post a while ago saying this would never happen because people could just hero up too easily.
