Works well and it's a bit bigger so if you come across someone you aren't scrambling to grab the coin to stop your run.

I think, (Hope.) once zombies and AI are working better that feeling will come back. Imagine sitting on top of sniper hill covering your mate as he loots looking for that final spark plug needed to start your Ural. He gets spotted by a zombie and has no choice but to shoot his G17 or risk getting infected himself. This awakens the hoard! You as overwatch must make a choice, start picking off zombies with your last 7 bullets....or shoot your friend to save him from certain death or infection and start looting yourself before the mountains zeds start eating your brains! Hopefully.... The big threat will always be players but making noise, not crouching or sneaking near a group of z's was always a bit of a risk in the mod, (okay not that much.) but if the new AI and all the rest is better this game will bring the rush again!

I and Several people had this issue back in like December or January a year ago. I haven't seen it this build so bug report it and it might just be an easy fix as they fixed it before.

Find a tent, drop everything into it and start again? But yes, I tend to get into PVP mode, (Not KOS.) after I'm geared. Although I sometimes start dumping unnecessary gear, double up on the important stuff like matches and can openers or extra pistols and try to give them away to new spawns. Being fully geared though I am not often trusted.

DayZ Standalone. The only shooter game where fashion is a part of the game! Haha.

I miss the humanity system. At least it gives you a bit of an endgame or more of a goal then just gear up, kill, die, respawn. I know people will say it's not real and immersion breaking but at least we would see more bragging that someone has 98k humanity....or minus 98K and people might rethink taking a shot without talking first. It would be cool to even have an option to see what someones humanity is. Either by checking it when they're dead or having the ability to see it if you are close enough to a person. Not like a giant symbol over their head but maybe a badge on their pack or something. Or maybe beside their name when you hit P. It might make people feel a bit more guilty if they kill someone with a hero level. Or feel good that they killed someone with minus humanity.

Another thing I have noticed, not many if any random server wide sounds of a can opening or zombie sounds right behind you and there isn't any near you. Doors seem to be easier to open and close too. Still hard to find out where the actual access to some are but much better than before.

Dayz Standalone isn't optimized yet so we all have the same issues. It will be better....soon.

Yes I have 200 hours and have never had a problem with ladders or stairs ever and I play with 3g internet! So strange that it affects some but not everyone.

Is that FPS or rendering though? Or are they 2 different things?

How about this. At some stage when infected bite you the message says, "My arm, (Or leg, or ear or middle finger.) was bitten" You then have the option to risk a 25% chance of infection and sickness or death or cut off your own arm The Walking Dead style to stop the infection from possible spreading or taking hold. So you decide do you want to have one limb and the consequences the OP said or risk dying or getting sick? Just a thought. I voted I like medicine idea.

Sounds like you were low on health but ate and drank maybe? The effects are not instant. Takes some time for your health levels to come up.

I've always wondered about something. If I download experimental, then do a steam backup, then download the stable, can't I just reinstall from the backup without having to redownload every time?

I've been running from Electro to Balota on a server at noon with a hoodie and autumn hunter pants. I. Have a wool coat.... in a down jacket, in a waterproof backpack but haven't had to use it. No rain and I have probably seen a temperature message once or twice in 2 hours. Hoodies seem to be a nice temperature in .50 so far. That's with no rain.

Just to update this since .50 I've found no 3 mosin sin the new vehicles all around the new cities. Especially North of cherno. They seem to clip through the car seats right now so if you can't get to it by opening the front door try the back door. That's what she said.....couldn't resist.

I have to put on some cool shades the second I find them. But I swap them out every time I find a new pair. Don't know why but damn I look hot!

In regards to getting cold and dying some servers are colder than others. Right now in .49 the most important thing to get is sticks, matches and some paper or rags. Getting cold? Build a fire and sit around it for 10 minutes or so.

Yes I was in a server that went something like this. My stomach feels funny. 5 minutes later: I need to poo 5 minutes later: I crapped my pants 5 minutes later: What's that smell, is that me? That last one made me lol! It really seemed like a 5 minute gap between each message. Is it possible to set that to play automatically or was an admin on and typing this in? Does anyone know?

A great idea and already being done as a mod in Arma 3 and I think it's quite popular. YouTube Arma 3 Hunger a Games or a Battle Royale as someone else mentioned. To be honest it's not exactly the same idea as the hunger games but it's still a sweet mod! Would love to see it in SA.
