At the moment, don't bother closing doors as zombies go through them and glitch making them harder to kill. everyone just says to find food then head inland, I would suggest heading inland right away, as there is much more food and drinks inland. Petrol stations you can find a map, For water find wells usually at the back of houses at the edge of towns. Guns are very rare to find in towns but heaps in army bases and airport. Good luck.

I dont have a microphone, so i try to play low population servers. So far only met 3 people. First one ambushed me for a rotten kiwi and torch. Second one was friendly, he had no weapons or a backpack, and i met him deep inland, gave him some cans of food and drinks. Third one stood there, than he ran behind a wall and tried to kill me, i ran away like little girl screaming

Have the same laptop as you, the only issue i have is zooming in, it feels very slow, zooming out snaps back quick.

Or find a map and assign number to it

Turn the game off and back on , it helps

I never play during night time, that torch is just hopeless

This happened to me plenty of times, just log out and get another server, and you get your gear back. It's a glitch, has nothing to do with hard core server.

I have found a big backpack, heaps of food, couple of firearms, I'm healthy, and satisfied. My question is, now what, I'm terrified to go wandering , don't want to loose this gear to a bandit, or worse to a zombie, due to a glitch. What else can I do in this game? Is it possible to build shelter or a base, or should I just put this game away till beta comes out?

I came across another player who had nothing, i dont have a mic so couldnt communicate, but i dropped some food for him, but i couldnt see it anywhere on the floor. Whats the best way i can communicate, without a microphone?

I had the same problem, now that i have a full backpack i keep on coming accross so much food. But like everyone says move inland

Decided to move inland check out some towns, an occasional can of tuna and a water well, then i get a coward who i could have shot at, but didnt, well he shot at me after we both backed off politely. As soon as he got behind a building he shot at me, lucky he must have been blind in one eye, as he missed. He had better weapons so i decided to bolt off.

I have been playing for few days, and this is what I have found out, ignore zombies altogether, just run, do not fight them, one day fire axe works, second day it doesn't. Fire extinguisher works sometimes, sometimes it doesn't. Spawn area I find has nothing, so just either move down coastline to army base, or go inland, find a bigger town, should be able to find something. So in conclusion don't worry about weapons, worry about food and water. I lost few weapons due to ignoring thirst and hunger. Road signs are faulty, load up a map on iPad or something, find a train station, should be easy to find especially if on coastline. Not sure if any help but I found a map in petrol station.

Been playing for few hours now and although i am well aware its still in alpha stage,i have few questions which need answering. Zombies- what is triggering them, sight or distance, as i have seen them attacking me from very far away but then again i have been few meters away and they did nothing? - i have a bat and it seems 90% of my swings end up missing from close range, is this an alpha glitch or am i doing something wrong? Closing doors doesnt help as they go through them. My screen at the moment is completely black and white, is this due to my health or the game glitch? If its health how can i improve it, because the chances of me finding a health pack are none. What is the shortcut key for map, M doesnt work? Is there a global inventory in this game, where can i store my items, if i cant fit them in the bag. Since there is a shortage of loot, dropping that can of tuna due to lack of space can cost you dearly later on. Now for my opinion , i like the fact that there is no health bar or thirst bar. Or even zombie detection bar, it adds to realism, but inventory is a slight mess atm. Vicinity doesnt work all the time but lets hope they resolve this issues in the near future, as at the moment its a very good walking around game.

Any ideas on zombies and why they are so hard to kill?
