Sometime devs say servers can handle over 4000 zombies, sometimes they say the amount of loot interferes with number of zombies, but hey let's add helicopters.
-
So you want 100's of guns, and even if they are rare as hell, one per server, 20 people average per server, you can easily acquire over 5 guns. How exactly are you struggling to survive with 5 fully loaded guns?
-
Rain, broken bones, zombies, 12 year olds, suicide, communication, melee weapons etc

If you posted "I want a bazooka with infinite ammo", you would have gotten more positive replies. Players who want more realistic survival game are less than a handful. You are fairly new to this forum, take a look at suggestion topics, you will realise topics with weapons are pages long, even stupid topics about wanting pink beanies will be more than a page long. I do feel most here are 12yo, and want just another cod or arma. Most of your ideas are being implemented, and I disagree with you on faster health regeneration. -
No dead bodies because it will clutter the server, and they keep on saying how the game can have up to 4000 zombies with "reduced loot". But they keep on having those useless books lying around that no one picks up.

I play day servers, because night servers are pitch black.
-
What about large dark halled hospitals, crawling with infected, but all the health goodies are there

At the moment, sounds mean little in dayz, gates opening means nothing but that will change once game is finished. I'm sure you have all heard flap of bird wings as if something spooked them, what if these birds are actually spooked by another player entering the scene, therefore giving others a warning rather than just rely on visually spotting players. It's not hard to program at all, just a simple scene collider, play the sound once player enters proximity. And doesn't have to stop there, sprinting and running can cause you to accidentally hit a can on the ground, send rocks flying hitting metal objects making noise to warn other players. This game is still run around shoot everything that moves, this especially due to so much bullets spawning, but sounds would greatly improve realism. Last night I came across a house, doors open, not a big deal I thought. Someone was here hours ago, long gone probably, loot has surely respawned. I walked in and found a can of tuna, 3% left, this immediately made me think, crap he could still be in here. I don't have a mic, so couldn't yell out to him, I just stood behind a cupboard, and listened. Another player was actually inside, ran past me, never knowing I was there. I would like to see more signs like this, maybe muddy foot prints (it rains a lot in Russia apparently :)) and these footprints could disappear within a time limit like 10 min. Also atm, shelter doesn't have any part in this game except loot spawn. In future hopefully we will have to get out of rain and zombies won't be able to walk through walls, but also we can set up a simple trap made of empty cans and fishing wire. Warning us of another player entering the house.

Let's hope so, but this thread isn't exactly pages long ha ha, might be just few of us interested. Another idea I would like to see is smoke out of chimneys, woods etc. a sign someone is nearby cooking something. If we had more signs and louder sounds, as I mentioned birds taking flight all of a sudden, and you didn't move a muscle, should be a huge giveaway, someone is nearby. Actually this thread might be another solution to reducing kos. I understand true kosers will never change their ways but a lot of kos happens due to players running into each other unknowingly. If we knew there is someone there we might try and make contact. Starving and you only have one bullet or none, you are more likely to try talking to other player who happens to be BBQ a rabbit.

be able to care a rifle and a bow/crossbow

Not only should bow/crossbow be used due to lack of ammo, but also not to alert the "hundreds" of zombies that this game might never have -

Crossbows are heavier than bows, not sure about modern ones, but ones made out of wood are heavy -
I feel like this game will never really achieve true survival status, and devs are just going to make the game to draw in larger player base, in other words it will become arma + zombies game. There is talk of pve and pvp servers, but how about something similar to 7 days to die options. Where a server owner has full freedom of what goes into that server, from zombie difficulty to day/night length. I want to create a feeling of "the road" in dayz, a true post apocalyptic world. I want to be able to control amount of food and ammo spawn. I dont want COD or Battlefield.
-
Possibly, unless they make easy, hard, very hard sort of servers, rather than private servers. Private servers right now in 7d2d are a mess, so I would prefer not to have private servers. Difficulty can be based on the amount of loot spawning. Even now they have hardcore and normal, but it's only the camera view that determines difficulty.

Agree with Ryan, although it wouldn't be a mall but rather a slightly bigger version of red star shops. It could have more sectioned off areas, a clothing store, food court, maybe even a hardware shop, place to find axes, nails, hammers, etc. Not realistic finding hammers in army barracks or kitchens. In real life, if you wanted to find a certain item, you wouldn't look randomly, even in an apocalypse if you needed an axe you would loot a hardware store or a shed in backyard, not a kitchen or a police station.

They already have both hands up animation
-
Ha ha you can experience this on 20 people server in electro. I went there once to see what all this kos was about. What i saw i was disgusted by the way players were playing. It was a deathmatch in underwear, there was no hint of these players to play dayz as a survival game at all. Little brats swearing at you after knocking you out. Bare hands people attacking you even if you have an axe. Kos is ok if it means you get to survive another day, but with so much loot around, its just another cod game
-
Just the other day, i came across a looted building in a small town away from the coast, all the signs pointed to a fresh spawn running inland to get supplies. I decided to follow upon this, i thought he will follow the road. Next bigger town more signs of eaten cans, i thought best be careful he could be around. Zombies werent aggroed so i knew he wasnt there. Then i got to an intersection and thats were i couldnt follow anymore. But i had so much fun trying to track this player, it would be good to have some sort of evidence besidez the eaten food. Footprints come as an obvious one, anyone know of more things we could use to track or just to know if someone else is in the area.
-
Ok we are talking different kos, im thinking of camping bandits that like to come back to coast to kill fresh spawn for no reason except fun. You are more likely talking about coming across another player randomly. I personally dont mind those kosers, they add realism to game, and i dont mind dying that way, as i can only blame myself for not being careful. Besides they are doing the same as you, looking for that rare food, and in real life people will kill you for survival.
-
Been suggested, also these arent your traditional zombies, they are infected humans, so they die like we do only slightly harder
-
And while you are looking to kos someone, and not looking for food in a town "hopefully" populated by hordes of zombies, you would starve to death. Besides what makes you think you will come out on top and not end up starting on the beach minus the gun and three bullets.
-
If you had 3 bullets and needed to find food asap, would you camp on a hill and waste those 3 bullets on fresh spawn who has nothing but a flashlight, or would you look for food?
-
Well its not like you find parts for a helicopter slap them on and you fly it, but its not stoping the devs
-
I personally think adding helicopters and vehicles is turning this game into another war game
-
Let me guess you are no more than 12 yo.
-
I have already suggested a similar thing. Add morale along hunger, thirst, and health. Although your idea is awesome, the answer from devs and others will be, "the gameplay is controlled by players, devs will have no input". If you choose to be koser you have freedom. The only way to remove camping kosers is reduce everything. Players need to busy thelselves looking for food and weapons, not just go to the airfield and police station and obtain everything in matter of minutes.

I stopped reading after "me and my bro were killing people....". Son you are playing a wrong game, you are looking for COD
