I'm a lone wolf but not by choice, I don't have any real life friends that play this game, and the ones that don't shoot at me usually don't prefer to have anyone tag along.

I used the crossbow and love it, but is there a page online on how to craft, items needed and so on.

I have often thought of dropping my loot before entering a town, but with my luck I have more of a chance of server restart than finding a needed item. I have a small chance encountering another player as I play away from coast and I don't really loot barracks or police stations, unless I need to. I do scout towns before entering and avoid contact with others, because my record shows its something I need to do ha ha. but with unexpected leg breaking, one hit death from some zombies, it very hard to accumulate certain items needed for certain actions, without something going wrong, this is why we need tents.

No i dont need a shovel with me all the time, you are right, they can be found just by looting few towns, however what happens if i get killed while looking for a shovel, i loose that bloody impossible to find fishing rod as well just because i couldnt store it somewhere, do you see my point?

First off, so jealous your wife plays along side you, mine wouldn't know how to turn the computer on, but is an expert at Facebook. Something similar happened to me, I joined a server with only one person there, on the outskirts of a town, I ran for a minute towards the town, he is hiding behind a car and shoots me. The chances of this happening are amazingly unbelievable, for only one other person to be in the same town and looking in the right direction to give him self enough time to position behind a car. I'm not saying it was a hacker but the odds of something like this happening are very high. Did I mention it was a 4-5 house town not a large pvp city either.

So u are telling me you never had to throw away item just because you had no more room?Yes gas bottles sticks etc are a waste of space, but I wish to try everything this game has to offer. Technically all you need is food, even water is available at ponds etc. but I want to try and see how everything works. I wanted to try crossbow for a long time, but could never find both arrows and crossbow at the same time, always got rid of one or the other just because of space, not always do you come across big backpack, I'm an explorer, so I don't run to barracks, where you are 100% guaranteed to get weapons and 34 slot backpack, like most do. I'm happy with canned food melee weapon and a fire arm, but once I come across a fishing rod, I will have to make space for this item as I really want to try fishing, which you also need shovel to get worms I'm assuming.

If you break a leg, which happens quite alot in dayz. Fire, etc . If your aim is to only pvp, no need for space, but if you wish to truly play this game for what it is ,survival, we need storage space.

Really, one gun, one stone and a medikit take up most storage biggest backpack can carry. Then u have water container or few cans of food and there you go. Than you need sticks, gas containers, do you want me to go on? Not to mention how many times i dropped a handgun because i didnt have the right ammo for it, only to find the ammo in the next town. Besides many dont want to loose all their items, just because of a camping bandit or even a hacker.

I hardly doubt Russians would allow anything American on its soil

Will we be able to enter tents or are they only for loot storage? The reason I'm asking is camera has a hard time when a player enters a hunting cabin and these cabins are a lot bigger than tents.

Rather than spend time looking for each other, learn the game. It won't take you long to know what houses spawn loot and which don't. Also it won't be long before you start recognising areas and towns. This game is far from finished so it's not really fun unless you are into pvp.

True, I think when this game was released devs talked about issues about number of zombies current engine/servers can hold. I hoped the lack of zombies was due to game being alpha, but 7months on and zombies aren't fixed or more added, it's a bit of a worry. However most on this forum don't really care as long as they get cars and helicopters. They added that monkey zombie, I have no idea who thought that would be cool, that person should be fired immediately, but all they did was copy it from the mod, to make it seem they were actually doing something. Another bug added, this zombie is hard to kill and when you run into him you are launched in the air due to his low stance, a simple collider would be sufficent to fix this, however this is dayz, nothing is simple for these devs.

Thats the beauty of this game, no matter where u go, you will come across a road, just follow it and u will come to a town. This game isnt a true survival game just yet but it will get there hopefully

What happens when they add hordes of zombies? You wont be able to camp and wait for prey. You wont be able to enter towns as easily, especially if they reduce the ammo spawn. Also if they remove server hopping this game will become more about pve than what it is now. Right now buildings and stairs are more of a threat than zombies

I hate loosing my gear, but once you are a fresh spawn, its really the only time you feel desperate for food and weapons. Its really the only time i feel like im in a survival game

I wish they take this game toward "the road". Where having one or two bullets is a luxury. I wish to die of starvation just for once in this game. But it just isn't going to happen. Once dayz is finished it will be just another Arma plus these annoying little things called zombies which are just a nuisance. I hope I'm wrong. You are right they have a chance to make something unique here, we just have to wait and see.

My front screen says 0.46 version, but when joining a server it says 0.45 version. Also i only have 3 servers show up on my list , i havent used the filter. Once in the game i have alot issues with doors opening. It takes good 10-15 seconds for the door to open, some i cant even open. Anyone else have these issues
