This is the kinda shit that gets you shot  Every time we go "off the beaten path" we end up taking fire 0.o

I have run into two. First one had a supressor east for my AKM and the second one had an AKM & SKS on/in. I took them out and hid them in a nearby area for some friends :) Has anyone found the CR527/ AKM magazines? I can't find them anywhere

I guess barracks are one of those places where you should expect to be fully defensive as they're normally in military (high chance of PVP) areas. I just had to mug off two guys on the prison island for EXACTLY the same thing. Shooting on sight will always be a thing when people suffer from loot paranoia.

I wouldn't say so, I imagine Friday/weekends are peak playing time so taking the whole lot down is a bit strange imo.

Strange time to make an update on a Friday.

I enjoy DayZ a lot, I've been playing since the early days of the mod. Nowadays my friends & I get a limited amount of time to play so we want to make the hours count. We don't want to spend that limited time picking apples or searching for berries because the implemented systems don't work, yes it's fully understandable it will change, but these views should be allowed to be expressed, no? The point here being that criticism is an essential part of a design process of which I have enough experience.

Casuals with lives outside of Windows (like myself) have every right to criticise the game after investing in early access. It's hilarious that this community has degenerated from constructive people to "If you say anything bad about new features or don't arse kiss the devs, you're a whiner" - If people disagree with the ridiculous survival aspect, then they should be free to voice their opinions. Maybe having a multitude of difficulties would solve it. From experience, things only get better when they are criticised, they stay shitty if everyone sits and says "OH YES THIS IS AMAZING. EVERY PATCH FIXES ONE THING, BUT BREAKS FOUR BUT THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE I'M APPLE PICKING FOR TWO HOURS OF THE THREE HOURS I HAVE SPARE". Stop being fucking elitist.

The new inventory system is annoying as hell. Much preferred it when things stayed where they were in the stack.

I've been playing since the mod, I know how it goes. The point is, as people have already said, why force a broken system? Don't release it to stable if it's not working, otherwise what's the point of having experimental and stable branch?
-
That's the first thing I tried, couldn't find any. The problem lies with everyone spawning in the same place.
-
You got lucky! - I managed to find absolutely fuck all and starved to death. When I did find a tin, I opened it and it disappeared leaving me starved to death. On the plus side I have found almost all varieties of hat, so that's good.

Current patch experience: Spawn, Starve, Die, Repeat. Loot is more broken now than when they first introduced persistence.

I've been getting crashes similar to everyone else RE: Memory, however I've also been getting a crash that actually removes my cursor and forces a full system restart. I can't remove any legacy settings because frankly, I've never used them. Validated all files, still the same issue.

I'd like to see some sort of proof that this is the case. I've always known to land and roll. You're just defending an invalid point for fear of losing an argument.

I found one on a dead guy :)

I've noticed the zombies levitating along the ground when killed, it's funny but a little weird, also doing a dolphin dive while using "drink all" from a bottle of water. My hitboxes got trapped in a door last night, too. As in the zombies were hitting open space in the door entry and I was two floors up taking hits.

I'm rocking i7, massively overclocked 670 and 16gb RAM, my friend's rig can run BF4 on two monitors at least 120FPS on Ultra etc, I have another friend with at least two 780s, 32GB RAM and a hex-core i7 and we all suffer some lag on DayZ at some point as it's mostly server side. Your argument was literally just you trying to be Mr high horse/trying to throw a cat into the pigeons.
-
I sometimes rock a TTSKO jacket, tan tactical pants and a green/red beret cause it looks cool as. Currently rocking full TTSKO, make myself as hard to spot as possible (I've had players run right past me before now)

The great thing about the mod was just this. You'd have to be crazy to go into the big cities as it was a guarantee there were snipers/soldiers in there. It took time and effort to get geared and experienced enough to even brave taking on the zombies, let alone a bloke with a DMR. In the current build I could literally run through elektro looting things without any effort, which is properly shit.

A friend and I wandered into the fire station at NWAF and both had the extreme leg breaking bug at exactly the same time, I was on the top floor with broken legs and he was killed instantly. While waiting for him to make the run from Berezino, I managed to climb down the ladders, get to a tree, craft a splint and then pick up his M4 and as much gear as I could. I waited for him in the same place and clocked another player as I wandered out to meet him. I shouted that we were friendlies, had just been looking for a fire axe and were already injured. I got onto the roof to pick up some things and then bam "You are dead", the same guys then stormed the building killing my mate. We took one with us but it was still annoying as hell. We weren't on a regular server, though so in hindsight going on the roof was a bad idea.
-
It sounds insulting, but did you ever play the mod?
-
The PR guys managed to modify the grass in the Battlefield 2 engine to render at a large distance so it could be used as cover, but the maps were much smaller so on this scale I assume it's much trickier.
-
don't forget the Toyota Hilux ;)
-
Sorry to be "That guy", but I like the daft dispersion. DayZ is meant to be a game where you're just a survivor, so being an expert with a rifle straight off the bat isn't really authentic. If you wandered up the road and picked up an M4, you'd be hard pressed to hit anything on full auto fire from the off. Hopefully we'll see some sort of progression added during beta to increase weapon handling skill over time or something. I've never really had any problems with gunplay to be honest, I nailed a clan of five at NEAF with my hardcore character using an M4 with damaged attachments and didn't think "woah, I can't hit anything with this gun".

Is weight ever going to be introduced if it is will it affect stamina.

I've been KOS'd more on Hardcore than on Regular, although that's because on Hardcore I seem to spawn right on the airfield, so it doesn't really matter what you do, you're gonna be shot at...
