    Also, is the option to wear black survivor clothes removed? Ive tried all the ways ive found to change my survivor outfit to black. Just wont work. Heard it is client side tho and random? Like some people can see my skin as black clothes but I see beige? Please help! :-D

    Any chance we will see some new skins in the vanilla mod. Like a lvl 2 skin based on + or - humanity of bandit and hero.

    maybe some new civ clothing or other army branches like ive seen on some scripted servers.

    what does the rest of the community think?

    More female skins?

    Funny how people have a need to lay out endless friggin debates about morals in a video game. Sure you dont have to be a total twat.. but come on. It was a cool story. You went over and beyond with that guy. He died. No biggie. You did him a favour so he could start fresh with all the new adventures awaiting him and no gear to burden his back. I am normally pretty friendly. But if that would have been me in your situation at a place like NWAF I would have just shot him straight up. So kudos to you for trying. And please. Anyone who gets upset from him shooting him.. go out. Take a break. Count to ten or punch yourself in the face.

    Sucks man.. I have never from 600 hours met a hacker (that I know off). But I never or rarely go to the hotspots when I play. When I do I tend to die rather fast anyway..

    Good thing you got one of them bitches anyway.

    Hacking seems like a growing problem and I hope they sort it out eventually.

    I have had friendly encounters at neaf aswell. Meet two guys with weapons. We shared food and ammo and tried to take out a sniper who was trying to shoot us we entered the jail building. Was intense and cool. But from experience its usually a war zone lol.. I dont shoot unarmed people but I usually think armed and geared players is ok to take down there.

    As for missing obvious kill situations it could be as it is for me sometimes. Shitty computer and bad fps. Most likley they just suck tho :-D

    And I would have axed him to. You did a good job!

    Ahhh. Thanks for clearing that up. I had ammo in the back off my head but wasnt sure :-)

    Good job taking some off em with you to the god of war. Like you I hate when I get sniped but I dont mind dying in a noce fire fight. Keep on keeping and cya around cherno :-)

    Yeah. Felt really cool coming together under a common threat like that. Felt just like how I expected it to be when I started playing. Just took over 500 hours of platytime to find it! ;-)

    Spawned in on almost full HC newly restarted server. Was close to NEAF. Rushed in after scouting the area. Looted it all except the last building. As I enter and close the door a bullet hits the wall. I rush in, loot it and get in position in the top floor.

    I hear the zombie downstairs roar and I look down as it charges towards the door. I ready my aim with my m4. I see a guy lookinh pretty geared push in and i fall back a bit and says;

    "It dont have to end like this man! Im friendly!"

    "Im friendly too" he replies.

    He yells that there is a sniper outside.

    A third guy comes in. Hurt. Shoot in the back by the sniper but alive.

    I share all the food I got and I got some spare sks ammo for the first guy, and he has some ammo for the third newcomer.

    The most friendly encounter I have had is at an airbase with two strangers under fire from a sniper.

    Damn I love this game..

    We ended up rushing out towards the tree line we think the sniper is in. We zig-zag over the field and dodge them bullets that come flying. Zombies on our tail. We get some cover bit I loose the other guys in the midst of zombies attacking. I run around for a while alone searching for them and the sniper.

    I hear a few shots in the distance. Are they dead? Did they get him? Did they just run?

    I come up to the little electric central on the far side of the airfield. I hear a shot then I see a guy rushing the base. Looks nothing like the guys I met. Maybe its the sniper? I take a few buck shots, knowing somewhere im not going to hit him with my m4 and damaged acog.

    suddenly a loud bang and all goes black.

    I wake up! With a shrug I get up to the electric station and lie down. I try to asses the situation and where to go when I hear a shot from behind. This time I dont get up. Well done I say. Well done. Enjoy my stuff and have a good day mr sniper. I just hope the two guys I met got away..

    Awesome story. Me and a friend had a shootout with two guys at the NWA. I was scout and lookout and my friend was looting. I see one guy in top of firestation and yell to my friend we got contact. He advances in and see they are two. One got an m4. My friend panics and takes the m4 guy out. The second guy retreats up in the tower and my friend gets into a zombie mayhem. And he has no bandages. So I rush over the runway to patch him up while I keep a close watch on the tower.

    We patch up and advance up the tower. My friend engage the last guy and he flees bleeding to the top. We tell him he will live if he puts his weapon down. I go up as he says he is unconcious.. I go towards him to bandage him before I am to wake him up. I tell him I will help him. As I move to his body I accidently push him to the wall and he glitch and falls out and dies... So sad.

    Really liked your story tho. Hope you will get more awesome moments in DayZ. I could sit here all day telling mad tales after my over 300 hours in the game :-D

    I got like 300 hours (actually steam says like 500, but I think I have had the game running for many hours not actually playing, just waiting for my return to the computer) :D

    And I am still NOT bored. Fuck me, this game is friggin awesome despite the bugs, hacks and not so fun deaths. Love it!

    Now I am debating weather or not to get ARMA II + DayZ mod aswell or ARMA III and get into some mod action.. Cant decide if its worth it tho :S

    Wow man.. thats one hell of a shitty story! :-( you did indeed meet some real assahats. Feel for ya bro!

    KoS any day over that! And I guess you are right. Got nothing to do on hardcore or regular. Assholes on both. I tend to belive there is a bit more 12-year olds on regular tho. Could be wrong. Just my ideas.

    and yeah. Its all about approach. In regular I have died so much its not even funny haha.. but I have unleashed my fair share of havoc aswell. On hc I have been alive for over a month now. Today nearly ended me as I started tho. Glitched thru the second floor ln a three story house in berezino. Fell to the ground but didnt break anything. Just ruined my pants and my kitted fnx along with a mag..

    Ok..

     

    So I have played well over 200 hours of game time. In that time I have met very few friendly people. A few, but they have been very rare.

     

    Today however I had the coolest experience so far in this game. First i log in inside Electro (hardcore server). Run into the school building and I meet a guy. I got green outfit, balistic helmet and fire axe and school bag. So I am pretty low geared. This other guy got a bit better stuff. We stop dead in track, and I wave and call out friendly in the direct chat. He waves back but doesnt respond. Guess he had no mic, or just couldnt talk atm.

    I run off down the stairs, bug out and I jump off the second floor. Land by the entrance and break my leg!

    "Holy cow!"..

     

    I crawl back up the stairs, and the guy is still there, so I tell him how I glitched and fell, and broke my leg. He takes a morphine and hooks me up!

     

    We wave and get going in our own way. I manage to grab an sks and I got some ammo from before. I also find an assult vest (server restarted) in the fire station plus a magnum. So I got lucky as hell..

    I proceed down towards the hospital in the SE, to try and loot some morphine in case same glitch breaks my leg again. I find one, and go and log out in a nearby house.

     

    I log back in a little while later on the same server, and as I am going out I hear a voice calling out;

    "Im friendly, please dont shoot!"

     

    I tell him over the direct chat that I am frendly to. I give him some spare food and an can opener..

     

    Now, had I not have had such a nice experience earlier, chances are I would have ignored this bambi. But I figured it would be nice to give back.

     

    He tags along to the hospital and we loot it, and he gets an shotgun, bc95 and a shirt plus a baseball bat. Awesome!

     

    At this time I figure it's time to test my fortune. Is this a nice guy, or a backstabber? I offer him some ammo for the shotgun incase we run into not so nice people.

     

    He thanks me and dont shoot me hehe..

    We proceed up the hospital to the top, and then we go down again.

     

    As we are going down I glitch again!(wtf?!), and run thru the wall and end up down in ground outside towards the harbour! Holy friggin shit.. I am glad I am alive, but I end up breaking my friggin leg again! Phew, good thing I found a morphine shoot earlier!

     

    Oh.. its ruined :(

     

    I am clueless what to do now!

     

    The guy comes down, and asks me whats up. I tell him my situation, and he tells me he got a friend nearby. He is going to try to find some stick or something to help me out. I crawl off to safety while he scavanges for help.

     

    After that I loose connection and the server restarts ... Argh!

     

    I log back in, and crawl out from my cover hearing two people talk. I make contact with them thru chat and It turns out my newly found friend has found another survivor that happens to have some morphine!

     

    They hook me up. And we end up standing there just looking at eachother.. Im so happy after this experience so I give him with the morphine my magnum and 60 rounds of ammo, and wish them luck and thank them once more. I then have to log off to make dinner and such as wife gets home.

     

    I run off to log out somewhere safish. Make a quick sweep close by before logging off.. I find an M4.. All in all, pretty good little playtime!

     

    There is still hope for the human race!

     

    Atleast on hardcore.. :)
