ill help: when you start dayz you get a big ass pop up you have to accept its alpha, walk to a house, loot some drinks/food, find clothes a backpack, maybe an axe, and some gun

its the other way around afaik, you regain blood before you regain health. either way, to regain blood you need hydrated/energized.. light green for 1% regen, bright green on i believe hydrated, for 2% regen.

i say yes, add both, but just like RL.. IRNV goggles dont have have super high resolution, or at least last time i wore one IRL.. same goes for the thermal optics, since bodies radiate heat, the thing you see is a bit blurred out.. Also giving zombies heat signatures would be nice, so its hard to see if its a player or a zombie (slightly blurry player or zombie) about being OP/balance... i cant imagine how many fresh spawns with an axe/wrench have been KOS sniped by a mosin with long range optics..

cryengine sure is a good FPS engine, but arma is a simulator engine, with more variables that can effect a players wellbeing. since dayz is a survival simulator, rather then a first person shooter with some zombies... i believe arma is the superior base for this kind of game

yeah i agree, it would make sense story wise aswell.. since cities are highly populated the zombie plague would spread fast... some backwoods village.. now there you might be able to survive for a while..

i like the TSKO, eventho it makes me kind of look like a badguy... since well, i used to run around with a blue plaid shirt, blue hard hat.. holding f2 and singing YMCA on direct, and kept getting shot in the face..

if there were no bad guys in gotham city, batman would not exist.. you need baddies, to allow hero's to rise... its a sandbox, and players will take control.

since the game engine/mechanics, and in game models are still subject to discussion, and might change.. i would think its the wrong time to build a mod, since changing something the mod may rely on, will break the mod.. honestly, even if it was possible, i'd say it is the wrong time to make mods.

if we want the mankind to survive the plague.. they should add teh s3x too!

if 9 are unconscious / bleeding, one can bandage / IV them, and help them back on their feet. its also quite effective against those 4/5 people squads that played arma together for years, and are out to kill you

Well yesterday my girlfriend got DayZ, she spawned near Berezino, so i told her to just run away from the coast, since it isn't the safest place to be.. As i was running towards her to meet up with her, she arrived in Dubrovka, she told me she saw a player in a house.. I simply told her "run away ill be there shortly". However said player spotted my girlfriend, and chased her down, I thought she was going to get an axe to the head... Until i saw the most amazing sight, the player did the greeting animation, whilst doing q-e-q-e, trying to show her he was friendly and she was not at risk. Shortly after i arrived at Dubrovka and met up with my girlfriend, I ran thru Dubrovka on voice trying to find said player, to thank him and hook him up (he just had an axe when my girlfriend saw him), but since i was in full military gear, he might have been hiding/ran off.. Whoever saw a female fresh spawn in a black shirt, and recalls doing this. You sir are my hero of the week, if you ever break a leg, add me on steam and i will come rescue you!

when you are safe, and have a friend nearby, take your own blood... keep it on you, and then eat/drink to regain blood.. now you have a blood bag that is 100% safe to use.

hmm, a log in system that requires a users e-mail, and a flagging system, so if someone uses your app to find people, and shoot them, they get a bad reputation... anyway i like the idea, and would like to support it. am experienced with html/php/css/mysql.. if you need a hand, PM me or find me on skype (same name). ohh and i have 2 domains/servers (LAMP) if you need to test it

i LOL'd at light a fire.. i found a lot of stones to make a fire, all were badly damaged, 0 uses left... @ carraig, put your shadow settings higher, then it doesnt rain indoors..

i found 3 so far, so its not impossible... tho that something is hard, should only make you feel better when you finally do find one!

happened to me too.. in europe there is a server with the name like "JOIN AND YOUR CHAR WILL BE RESET" once i fresh spawn there, i drop a flashlight, and exit the server. at this point i can spawn normally on any server.

i went to a private server that kicked me... (after a few kicks, i found out who can kick, and who cant)... and just went KOS on them.. caught 3 off guard, 1 afk.. then got shot down myself.. being a clan their sort of organized ya know.. still.. had a blast!

they are just not bothered by it.. so if the GSP doesnt act, just pass the complaint on to [email protected] then they are bothered by the incoming mail

making room for members, is a grey area.. but wholy understandable.. on topic, from the rules thingy, i quote.. You can NOT kick players on joining, to loot farm or to prevent other players joininghaving a 40 slot server, with 4 players who are members, kicking everyone else.. not so.. stuff picked up here should not be counted on public hive, since you take zero risk picking up stuff, wich is an unfair advantage.. hence this rule i guess... You can kick if players are being verbally abusive or abusing ingame bugs to gain an ingame advantage.kicking glitchers, racists etc.. sure, im all for that... some of these need a rl kick in the crotch area being in a clan that hosts 5 gameservers in another game, we dont kick people that threaten our kill/dead ratio/score / e-peen... we do kick racists / glitchers.. if a server is nearly full, i really do not mind getting a kick, so their members can join.. hell if they c/would ask me in chat, i would gladly make space by leaving myself.. if i get kicked on a server that has 4/40 users, i know im getting kicked because some lamer wants easy farming... that i will report, have reported, and have had servers go down because i reported.

173.199.111.101:2302 got shut down for an hour by gsp for kicking people.. but they promised to be nice from now on, so lets give these people a nice friendly welcome back.. and remember, if you get kicked, [email protected]. it just restarted.. fresh loot!!!!

frapsing helps too (for gameservers.com), i had one killed within 30 minutes after i got kicked... i added the people that were allowed to remain on the server on my steam.. told them hi bye, and hahahaha,... as the server went down

why the hell did it post twice lol.. remove this one...

install msi afterburner.. in settings of the overlay (RTSS) limit it to 30 fps..
