i ran from the elektro hospital to the west, apart from the thing i was hiding behind (wich was too small to actually hide me when crouched) , also running could have worked if that didnt make sound, she was coming down towards me. If there was not nearly half a second between me and the server, I would have tried to come to a more peaceful resolution, like i usually do. Umm yes basicly she did, thats the downside of making friends on DayZ that come from all over the place.. Shortly thereafter my friend quit, and i went on an european server, for decent ping

lol it depends where and how you play.. if you want to stay clear of military sites, i wouldnt go with m4, since m4 ammo is found mostly on military sites. sks ammo is plenty, and spread around the world, witch makes it the better survival gun. personally, i like the m4 better then the sks, if you control your bursts, its quite good mid range, and its a beast close range

Your cpu+gpu are 7+ years old budget parts, not meant for gaming, upgrading any single part of your system will not help. Back in the day, this pc would be too slow to play new games at mid/high settings.. So basicly you need to get a new cpu+motherboard+memory+gfx, and possibly a powersupply to match.. On the bright side, you can probably fit the lot in your current case.. I dont mean to ruin your mood, but im just being realistic Also, getting 30+ fps in svetlo is hard, even with the shiny bits in my signature..

try disabling the SSAO, or ambient occlusion... it makes stuff blurry..

well if you cuff all zombies in a town, they will not respawn/try to eat you.. its quite usefull if you have enough cuffs (and they implement the respawn thing on stable)

yeah, true dat, it happened to me after getting a session lost on a 2/40 player server tho.. in retrospect, i would have wanted something like a kill cam, or at least log in with the message "you have died" rather then being a fresh spawn.. simply to stop confusion.

the people on the bf forums boasting their K/D ratio, play the game wrong.. PTFO lol tho there is 1 public stat that i would like to see and share out of game.. the time i survive, its a survival game.

KoS is fine tho, i imagine people competing for the resources in cities.. when hunting and stuff is there, people that dont want to risk getting KoS can just stay up the hills, and go to towns less often, coming down into towns only to get some more ammo

i had that today sort of.. i actually saw myself gib thru the stairs and into the floor..

running around trying to find people with whom to interact with sir, this is a survival game, not a dating site, blitzing people might not be the smartest idea, i run around with a pack of people, and even then we do not simply approach people and say "hi there!". Do what you have to do to survive, if you want to interact with people, make sure you see them first, then aim at them, then start chatting on mic (make sure to tell them to stop moving / not turn around / pull out a gun).. you might make some friends that you can trust, since you have more chance to survive in a group, and others will understand this.

well i have seen lag cause people to walk thru walls.. download/upload something big, and then just try..

actually when starving, it will take blood too, so at first he will see nothing while his blood regains, only at full blood OP will start healing again.

dear OP, you actually have a good point, in the exclusion zone around chernobyl, former domestic cats have been surviving for years. Hunting, breeding.. surviving. This would actually be a quite realistic idea, having some wild cats go out and hunt.. on the other side, cats that have never seen a human, stay away from humans.. so would it be beneficial to the experience and realism of the game, having cats run around, hiding from us so we hardly ever (more like never) see one?

Well i decided to answer the bottom 2 questions, since the top 2 are already completely answered in my eyes, and i have nothing to add to the above posts. On your question about traveling light, or having a big backpack.. both have their pro's and cons. if you have a small backpack, you have a smaller profile when in prone, but you will run out of hoarding space faster. Its all about your playing style, do you want to carry 20 cans of beans and 2 sawed off shotguns in a backpack.. get a huge one, if you want to travel light/low profile, scavenging food as you travel across the world... get the small one On the scopes.. today the point (wo)man and me died, yellow link+firefight lol, more of my squad died a bit later, dont even know why.... we met up, went thru berezino and then 2 had to log off, we gave them the rifles the group already found and the remaining 2 continued gearing up, so we went to NEAF. well we managed to find 2 m4's and 2 red dot sights (m68 and RDS) on the NEAF, no server hopping involved, both scopes were in good shape, think pristine even (at least no cracks in the glass and both working). after a slight friendly fire accident (i changed helmet and did not tell my buddy.. next thing i hear when i walk outside is my buddy going "there is someone here!!!" and he opened up on me..), at this point my buddy did hop some servers to find me a saline bag, i was KO for quite some time.. afterwards we headed back, found an sks&mosin and pu scope, so now we have variety ammo across the group, so we pick up any ammo and divide it later.. we logged off where we left our friends 2 hours earlier. so yeah, i would say its 99% luck, but they do spawn, i logged out with 2 m4's (one in my hands one on my back), my buddy with the mosin he wanted, and an sks for the point (wo)man, tomorrow when the group is complete, we will figure out who wants what weapon, if nobody wants the 2nd m4 (with m68) ill send you a pm, and tell you where to find that scope. btw if you have a worn or pristine long range scope, i think my buddy will aim his mosin at my face (for another incident) untill we do a trade :P
